My favorite spot for a pizza in Newark, DE. Can’t go wrong with a large BBQ Chick pie. Stretchy cheese, chewy crust and they don’t skimp on the chicken.The dine in area is not a great view. Closed on Sundays.

I have been going to Mario’s since 2012 and I actually love their pizza and never had a problem until today when this short rude old man had a problem with me ordering one slice of pizza. Well I work over night and I stop on my way to work so I’m going to continue to order my one slice of pizza so all I have to do is walk in pay and leave.

The grandma pizza, bbq chicken pizza, chicken Alfredo pizza and the garlic knots all super highly recommended, none better in Delaware! Mario is the actual owner, you'll find him working there during the days only, he's old school Italian from Italy, was in NY but moved to Delaware so he could close on Sundays. He's open Superbowl Sunday but otherwise he holds true to why he came here. Eat up!Parking: You can get in the (not) secret back way or through the front, enough parking so that I've never not had a spot

Best Pizza spot in Newark D.E! Mario's is 2 blocks away from most U of D sporting events so if your crew is feelin Pizza I recommend the Buffalo chx & the grandma's both pies are killer.
