She truly cares about her customers, which makes the whole experience even better. You can tell everything is made with quality ingredients, and it actually tastes as good as it is for you. The vibe inside is fun and upbeat, with good music always playing that makes you want to stay a little longer. It is the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a smoothie or bowl, and just feel good about what you are putting into your body. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you are in the area.”

“Out-of-towner happy to have landed at Zest for a late, Sunday afternoon lunch on a day trip to tour Bartow's interesting Wonder House, with quick, unplanned visits to the L.B. Brown House Museum and the Bartow History Center. Located on a side street a couple of blocks from the old town square Zest has a quiet, unassuming appearance with off-street parking and an outside, covered dining patio. Inside seating includes booths, tables and the bar in a large, high-ceilinged, sort of dimly lit dining area with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Our server Regan, (I think was her name) was efficient, and attentive and just right friendly. Our food - we both had fish and chips with cole slaw - was excellent - the slaw was good - chunky cut with vinegar-based dressing rather than mayo-based, medium cut fries and the fish were very good - tender and crisp (the fish lightly battered). Definitely would be a repeat customer if I was a local. Planning to return to Bartow for a scheduled tour of the L.B. Brown House and to explore more of the History Center and it will be hard to decide whether to try a different restaurant or to return here where we really enjoyed the service, the meal and the space.”

“This is my new smokehouse. The flavored wings, the crab cakes and rasta pasta are my favorite dishes to get. I have also went to a couple of the community events and had a wonderful time. the food, the services and the events is something Bartow needs.”

“Tantrums food truck was at Front Page Brewery in Bartow and we weren’t going to get anything we brought pizza but I kept smelling the food so we got the shrimp and grits. Best decision of my life! I love shrimp and grits but this is a different take on it. It was absolutely delicious! Like how did this come off a food truck! The crispy grits cakes the bacon peppers and onions the shrimp cooked perfectly! Can’t wait for them to come back!”

“I have nothing but good things to say about this place. First off, I’d been craving GOOD tacos for quite some time. Especially when it comes to barbacoa and lengua. Most restaurants try to pass off a cheaper cut of meat as barbacoa but not here. It was so tender and flavorful! The menudo was perfect. Everything was tender and not chewy. She warned me about the red sauce being very hot but I feel it was the perfect amount of spice for my daughter and I. The piña frescas was nice and refreshing. It wasn’t overfilled with ice. I drove from north Lakeland just to try them and I’m so glad they were open. This is now my favorite Mexican restaurant in Bartow. The customer service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Can’t wait to try more! Unfortunately I didn’t get many photos because everything was sooooo good. People that know me know how much of a foody I am and this is authentic Mexican food. Full of flavor and love!”

“We drive from Winter Haven at least 3 times a month. Only pizza we eat. Young guy named Johnny will take care to treat you right. The whole crew is great. Stop wasting money on your pizza and go here. At 76 years old I've eaten lots of pizza and this is the very best. Enjoy.”

The coffee is excellent, the food is delicious, and their coffee flights are awesome, with lots of fun flavors to choose from. The space is beautifully decorated, with plenty of unique seating options that make it easy to relax, read, or chat with friends. I especially loved how cozy and inviting everything felt, and be sure to check out the charming bookstore upstairs — it’s a must-see. A delightful spot to unwind and enjoy great vibes all around.”

For example, during Hurricane Milton, they were there for this community. When all of us were at home readying our homes for the storm, the staff remained at work to ensure everyone had access to a hot meal. When all of us were sitting without power, worrying about storm damage and cleaning up, the staff served our community with hot meals. This is going over and beyond in so many ways. I will be a forever client of this establishment due to their high-quality food and how they care about the communities they serve. We recently bought a home less than two miles from one of their locations. I am not exaggerating when I tell you I eat here five days a week, sometimes more. We volunteer at Bartow Middle School 3-4 days a week. What do the teachers and staff ask us to get when there? The lake house. Please stop by and allow your senses to fall in love with this hidden gem. Let’s support small businesses like this that serve our community so well.”

“This location is good, but just want to say, one of your employees just tried to start a fight with me at the gas pump while in Firehouse uniform. I pumped gas, and then had to go inside and wait in line for my receipt, when i get back to my car, she is mad and questioning me on why my car was at the pump. Kicking up a fuss and threatening over nothing. Probably not the best public image, since she was in uniform and either going to or leaving work. She sucks, but your location is great!”
