“I need to start by saying the night I went was an advertised event to support this small local business. We arrived at 6pm and got the last 2 seats in the restaurant. Placed was packed and all the staff was not prepared for the evening. So you go with the flow and enjoy the evening. Service was off just due to a full restaurant coming in at 6pm all at once.

“I had a delicious shrimp cocktail- unlike any other shrimp cocktail I’ve had…shrimp swimming in fresh salsa and fresh avocado slice. It was a meal in itself. I even took some home, and it became my appetizer with dinner the next night. Not only was it delicious, it was a great value. Our dishes of Charred Octopus, Pork Buns, and Crab & Lobster in a Jar were superb. The desserts of Sous Vide Custard and Sweet Potato Beignets made for a great ending to a great overall experience. “A delightful restaurant serving fresh, made-to-order Italian dishes and pizza in Bonita Springs.

We decided to go out for Italian on a Saturday night and happened upon Ristorante Enrico. Even though it was busy (as you would expect during season), the wait for a table wasn’t very long. The atmosphere is casual and contemporary, with comfortable booths and tables. There was definitely a lively pace in the dining room, but we never felt rushed and were warmly welcomed by the owner and staff.

Fresh bread and water arrived right away. Instead of the usual olive oil dip, the bread is served with butter and a small dish of pomodoro sauce — a nice and unique touch.

For appetizers we ordered the bruschetta and the prosciutto with mozzarella. The bruschetta was warm and topped with freshly chopped tomatoes, olive oil, basil, and herbs — simple and delicious. The prosciutto and mozzarella was served over arugula with olive oil, with a whole ball of mozzarella cut into quarters in the center. Both dishes were beautifully presented and very generous in size, clearly meant for sharing.

We also tried the lentil soup before the main course, and it was excellent — clearly homemade, warm, and very flavorful. If it’s available when you visit, I highly recommend ordering it.

For the main course we had three dishes. The Chicken Parmigiana was prepared in the traditional style, served over spaghetti with marinara, perfectly seasoned and a very generous portion. The Chicken Cacciatore was also excellent, with tender chicken and vegetables over pasta. The linguini with white clam sauce was a standout — the sauce was thick, garlicky, and flavorful, clinging to the pasta instead of being watery, with plenty of baby clams in the shell.

We would have loved to try dessert, but the portions were so generous we simply didn’t have room.

Despite the busy Saturday night crowd, service was attentive and friendly, and the owner even stopped by to make sure everything was to our liking.

Ristorante Enrico serves authentic, freshly prepared Italian cuisine in a welcoming setting with excellent service and very satisfying portions. Highly recommended — we will definitely be back.“
