Had sopes, hard tacos, and wings... Sopes was good.. Probably 4 stars, wings were overcooked 3 stars, hard tacos 3 stars... Seems to be a quaint little place and I heard food was really good.... I've definitely had better... Good location for us so gave them a try. Was not busy at all late in the afternoon, plenty of parking too. 6 wings, one sopes and 2 hard tacos was 27 bucks... OK I guess for the beach area. I would maybe try something else next time try something else since a lot of reviews are good.

We have been to taco mix 3 times since we recently discovered the place, twice in one week! We loved it that much! I love that this is a multigenerational owned and operated restaurant. The first time we went in, the abuela was sitting in the corner, the mom was running the show and the son was in the kitchen! You do not go for the environment, you go for the owners and the food. Oh the food!!! She has a little bit of everything. We got beef tacos, the fried steak plate (so huge), the tostada, and the Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was the best I’ve ever had, hands down! The tacos are my absolute favorite Tex mex taco in this area now. Every time we go to Bonita beach, we just pray they’re open! Love love love!

We're from Ontario, Canada, and every time we come to Bonita Springs for a vacation, we go to Taco Mix (multiple times on each trip). The wet burritos are amazing!

I have driven past this place countless times and never once stopped by. I really thought "you can't judge a book by its cover" but still never tried it out. I kept reading through reviews and finally gave it a go. Why on earth have I never been??? I think it's so unique that this place has been here since the 80s, giving it that dated look. It's a mom and pop shop owned by a very awesome family. We had the pleasure of seeing three generations on this visit: la abuela, the daughter and her kids. I thought that was so sweet!! You can tell they all very much care about their customers and their food. We had the best service. We got a tostada with pork, beef hard shell tacos, rice and beans, the Cuban sandwich and a piece of fried steak with salad, plantains and rice and beans. I can't emphasize enough that everything was 10/10. The steak did take longer than everything else to come out but it was well worth it. I went back for two more hard shell tacos and the owner couldn't believe it. They were so good!!! And their sauce? Just try it. FIRE!! I'm breastfeeding okay!!!? Lol the Cuban sandwich was the best I've ever had. Melt in your mouth and seasoned so well. This will be our go to spot for take out when headed to the beach for sunset. I'm punching the wall that I never gave this spot a go until now. Seriously never judge a book by its cover.

Tasty Mexican/Cuban joint. I had fish tacos and churros. Both were tasty and not oily. I'm most definitely going back. The dining room was clean, not sticky at all. What a great find! ?Parking: Easy access.

We found this somewhat hidden little restaurant near our condo. Have eaten there twice and will go back once more before we leave. It is family run and been in business since 1980. The menu is large, the food is excellent, and the service good. Each meal freshly prepared. If you want alcohol there is only a few selections of bottled beer.
