“We are picky customers. We weren’t sure we’d have the best experience at this place being it is currently rated 4.2. Usually we seek 4.5 restaurants or higher. But alas, we are staying at the hotel and after a day of sun, we were wanting something convenient so we decided to give Rusty’s Bistro a try. Wow! So glad we did! From the moment we stepped in the pretty blonde hostess welcomed us with a warm smile and got us seated promptly. The gentleman serving our table was outstanding. Very knowledgeable on the menu and helped us make the right selections. I had the seared scallops, hubby got the rib eye. Kids ordered cheeseburgers and grilled steak kabobs off kids menu. The food was perfect! Every bite mouth watering delicious! We decided to get desserts as well, and they didn’t disappoint either. Giving this place five stars! Ambiance, service; food, wine and drinks! All amazing!! You won’t regret eating here.“
“Incredible experience with our family! You must try the Chicken Parm sandwich, Spicy Vincenza sandwich and the basil tea!! It is apparent the owners are there shoulder to shoulder working hard with their team to create a great experience. Come to Apollo Beach please!!“
“Me and my husband used CaraMel's Bakery for our wedding cake and it was fabulous! We sat down with the baker and chose three different flavors for our cake and showed her a picture of how we'd like the cake. The wedding was a Harry Potter themed wedding and she followed everything in the picture and more! The cake was gorgeous and was truly magical. If you need a cake for your wedding, DO NOT HESITATE to contact CaraMel's Bakery.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bacon Street, and I must say it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The restaurant sets itself apart in so many ways from its commitment to crafting dishes from scratch to its exceptional awareness of food allergies and dietary restrictions. Thank you to the entire team at Bacon Street for an unforgettable meal!“
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I recently had the pleasure of trying Zukie's Key Lime Pie, and I must say it was an absolute delight! Here's why I give it a 5-star rating:1. Flawless Flavor: The key lime flavor was perfectly balanced, not too tart nor too sweet. Each bite was a burst of refreshing citrus goodness.2. Heavenly Texture: The texture of the pie was smooth and creamy, with just the right amount of firmness. It melted in my mouth, leaving me craving for more.3. Crumbly Crust: The crust was a work of art, crumbly yet sturdy enough to hold the delicious filling. It complemented the tanginess of the key lime beautifully.4. Fresh Ingredients: You can taste the quality of the ingredients used in every bite. It's evident that Zukie's Pies takes pride in sourcing the freshest and finest ingredients for their pies.5. Impeccable Presentation: Not only did the pie taste amazing, but it also looked stunning. The vibrant green color of the filling and the whipped cream for a visually appealing treat.Overall, Zukie's Key Lime Pie exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It's the perfect dessert for any occasion, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving a slice of pie.“
“We're so happy to have found Jerome's Cafe & Bakery. We have been looking for a great French bakery and this is it. The cream chocolate chip croissant is fantastic and if you're eating there get it warmed up. You'll be glad you did. Everything we had was delicious. You can taste the passion of Chef Jerome in everything he creates. Thank you for sharing your love of French baking with the Tampa Bay area Chef Jerome.“
“We had Felice’s cater our dinner for a work party this evening. It was incredible! The roast beef was cooked to perfection and the seafood stuffed mushrooms were an hit. Best cannoli I’ve ever had! Everyone enjoyed the food and desserts so much. Can’t wait to order again ?“
“Desiree and the Chantilly team are so lovely! My client ordered ten small cakes for their wedding this past weekend... Chantilly did not disappoint! The cakes were beautiful and tasted amazing! Will be recommending to future clients for sure!“
“First time and really loved this place. Helpful staff, fabulous bread and biscotti to die for. I got the peasant loaf and it was delicious, moist and dense but not too dense. They had orange cranberry pistachio biscotti and it was fabulous! I'll be back.“
“10/10 recommend ! The food and service was excellent. The burrito was fresh and flavorful. The açaí bowl was the best I’ve ever had! Definitely will be coming again! Has table games and outdoor seating.Kid-friendliness: Had games to entertain the kiddos!“
“I had a great dinner again last night. Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Bucatini Clams with Fresh linguini. So good. The clams were a nice size from Cedar Keys, FL northeast of us in the Pan Handle. Then I splurged and got the Banana creme pie that they are also so well known for. My partner always loved that pie, so I got a piece in his memory. Hey it was amazing. Super friendly servers and very busy place, but you’re never ignored. Great Job!“
“I absolutely love finding a truly independent locally owned non-tourist trap style restaurant/shop in a tourist area. Everything we ate was super delicious, and the owner was extremely nice. Absolutely worth a stop if you’re in the area.“
“Very good food friendly service. Always amazing food this is got to be in the top 3 Indian food places in the Tampa Bay Area. If you tried the rest try the best. Amazing food flavor and service. Found our new go to for indian food cravings. Go see for your self. Thank me later. Cheers“
“We wanted something unique for our wedding: a tiered flan. Claudia’s Heavenly Cakes and Flans makes the best tasting flan I’ve ever had (all of our guests agreed). Claudia was passionate about the project and the end-product was both beautiful and delicious, and reasonably priced.“
“Second time at Thai 5. Can not believe this place was here all this time tucked back in this strip mall. Beautiful, sparkly, ambiance and atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. Large outdoor patio. Best Crab Rangoon in the area. We enjoyed the spicy salmon roll. Beautiful presentation on all the dishes. Very flavorful and thick sauce on the garlic black pepper chicken and pepper steak. Large portions, full bar. I wish we would have known about this place sooner. Thank you Thai 5.“
“This restraunt was a easy walk from our condo. The first-time we went there, my wife had the sauted scallops. She enjoyed them very much. I had their seafood pasta. It was wonderful. It had a few scallops, and shrimp nicely seasoned and browned just right. The sauce was a clam broth and cream base, with strips of sun dried tomatoes and chunks of crab. All served on fettuccine. It was so good, the flavors all blended so nicely. The first time we got lucky and found a place at the bar.The second time we went, we weren't so lucky. We waited a hour and 15 minutes. I definitely recommend having reservations, they are busy all the time.Yes, we went a second time after only 3 days. Couldn't stop thinking about the seafood pasta. To sum up, we had a great waitress and the bar tender was a joy, when we sat at the bar. We will definitely go back next time come back.“
“We had the pleasure of walking into Southie Coffee and we were in heaven the minute we were in the restaurant! The awesome staff made us feel so welcome and the food and coffee was incredible! They are pet friendly and Benny gives it 5 stars!! We always strive to support local businesses and Southie Coffee is one we will definitely support on a regular basis. We highly recommend Southie Coffee!!“
“This place is a collection of piled up junk, a bloated menu, and dust balls in every corner...and it's exactly what we want on the Guilf strip. Unlike every other cafe on the road that is drowned out by its muted grays and wannabe Crate and Barrel decor, this place is unique. Though they could use a thorough sweep through to fix things (ie don't sit under the first awning bc it's about to collapse and kill someone) it's an enjoyable place.Skip the sandwich options - there is zero flavor in any of them - but dive into their baked goods. All drinks get a solid thumbs up.Parking is ample but the locals sometimes take spots that they shouldn't so consider walking if you can.Service is hit or miss; sometimes they're nice, other times they're walking zombies. I wish they were more engaged with customers to solidify that local "small business" vibe.Overall, I recommend this cafe over any other on the strip!“
“My recent visit to Grahame's Gourmet Cafe was amazing. They use high-quality ingredients and pay close attention to detail in their dishes. The staff is friendly and knows a lot about the food, making the whole dining experience great. It's a perfect spot for those who want both delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere.“
“The softest donuts and so delicious, they melt in your mouth! so thankful to have a place that offers Gluten free cake donuts as well as regular donuts for both my husband and I to enjoy! make sure to ask which ones are gluten free, because they aren't marked. I have Celiac's and enjoy these donuts a LOT. Highly recommend this place! Really good customer service.“
“I have finally gotten my diet cleaned up by taking out almost all sugar. Which is healthy, but sad. Not anymore! This ice cream is very low in calories and carbs, but who cares unless it's also delicious? Which it totally is. I had a small bowl of the blueberry cheesecake, which is actually a very ample serving, and it was so good. And it was completely satisfying. No need to have any other treats or snacks the rest of the day. Definitely recommend.“
“Amazing local coffee roaster in Belleair Bluffs that we came across on vacation! Our iced lattes were wonderful with good oat milk, espresso, and lavender syrup. I grabbed a really soft butter croissant that I loved and took another for later. We got fast service and the shop has a big open layout with versatile indoor and outdoor seating, with bar seats, four tops and cozy couches. There’s easy parking since coffee shop is in a little shopping strip with a big lot.“
“Awesomely great food. From start to finish our experience was wonderful. Our waitress was amazing & explained the different foods to us, being 1st time customers. Restaurant was very clean & cheery. Food presentation was exceptional and taste was delightful. Probably the best restaurant we visited on our trip. The effort they put into each dish & drink was incredible as well as their helpfulness. Price was better than most other restaurants. Very happy we chose this wholesome goodness to eat. I'd highly recommend to any visitors to give it a try. You'll definitely leave happier than you came.“
“I have tried two breads so far and honestly its amazing. This is the first time I have had gluten free bread that didn't compromise on taste or texture. I have used the bread to make sandwiches, but my FAVORITE way is to toast the bread and have butter with it. 10/10 recommend if you are looking for gluten free bread!“
“In December, they prepared my birthday cake, an Italian. Cassata Cake. I’ve had this cake many times and from many places through the years. Nowhere, at no time, has a better cake been made! It was the best ever! Then, we went there for brunch. Again, everything from the cozy (very French) ambiance to the exquisite pastry to the fantastic coffee(and I know my coffee) was delicious and delightful!“
“Cute, family style eatery. The food and service were fantastic, my partner and I both tasted each other’s meals and were very happy with what we got. The sauces especially were quite nice and there is a French baker right next door to enjoy dessert at. There is a lot of indoor seating, and a few outdoor seats for when the weather is nice.“
“Picked this spot since they have a variety of different coffee and flavors to choose from!! Customer service was top notch, my friend have mistakenly choose the wrong drink and they fix it with no problem and with a positive attitude!! I would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for some quick “
“EXCELLENT freshly made Mexican food. It's my new favorite restaurant. Very small restaurant, in a strip center, that has about six tables - and a drive-up window! They also have vegetarian options and their veggie tacos were fabulous! Staff is super friendly and prices are inexpensive for the large portion sizes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“
“Ling was our waitress and was wonderful and so accommodating. She kept track of when we needed more drinks, etc.Wheelchair accessibility: I have a nerve disability and although I don’t look handicapped, I am. Wheelchairs were easily to maneuver from the two here.“
“Da Sesto continues to be a part of my annual trip to the Tampa area for Spring Training. This is my 6th or 7th year of making Da Sesto part of my dining plans and never disappoints. An incredible selection of food and beverage in a wonderful atmosphere with excellent service. Make sure to leave room for dessert!“
“This is a regular stop for us, we have been coming here for many years. Typically we are here enjoying their delicious soups and sandwiches for lunch. If we are not here for lunch we will often stop by to partake in their delicious European pastries and coffee drinks. Stop by and check it out for yourself. This place may become a regular destination for you.Parking: There is ample parking on-site and the adjacent parking area.“
“ADDENDUM REVIEW 2-20-24The reviews below (12-8-19, 12-20-19) were for the former restaurant called SconeAge, NOT LaVita. They bought the store and improved on the food and service. My experience here at LaVita has been very good. It's a family affair with moms and their kids helping in the kitchen and serving customers. Always polite and accommodating. The food is made on premise unlike other coffee shops where it's brought in from outside. They bake next door and cook in the back kitchen. The most complete bakery by experienced bakers in Dunedin. Try LaVita, you won't be disappointed.-------------Review below is of SconeAge, NOT LaVita:12-20-19 FOLLOW UP. If you read the owner/chef's comments about my review, it's obvious she didn't read it carefully enough. You LOST a third star due to your unreasonable attitude."Fledgling" referred to the first, somewhat disorganized event which is fine as a first attempt. However, if the fifth attempt is awkward then some additional planning or revamping might be necessary. The performance area is a tight, over-sized "walk-in closet". Chef, your scones may be delicious but yours/Larry's DISORGANIZATION can be disheartening. Perhaps, on the warmer days, outfitting the BACKYARD as event space might work best, although there wouldn't be any place to park. Perhaps the BBQ place's lot next door might work as an alternative parking lot.As far as Larry's prowess as poet of "international" fame, I've not heard of him or his work before. Is he SELF PUBLISHED? If so, that might explain why. He may need to promote himself and not just events. I guess I've been caught up in teaching the masters like Kooser, Laux, Collins, Williams, Oliver, et. al. So, if I've missed this "famous" poet's work, woe is me!But regardless of your or my definition of what constitutes poetic excellence in terms of Larry's work -- that wasn't my point. It was the PRESENTATION and PROMOTION of the event that was CLUMSY -- not Larry's poetry. For example, most poets I talked to thought the event's readings were relegated to Human Rights ONLY. And that's an important reason why more poets didn't show. Not all poets have poems relative to that subject. Get it, Chef? And finally, "clumsiness" included making all attendees read every one of the long list of Human Rights tenets, about 30 of them! It dragged the event out to the longest "yawn" in open-mic history! Larry should've provided a BRIEF TALK and handout to be read LATER and let his and other's poetry say what needed to be said. Wasn't that why you summoned us there, Chef, -- to listen to the POETRY of Human Rights?---------------------12-8-19 Participated in the first poetry open mic today, Sunday. It's a tiny venue, conducted after hours (3 pm), run by the owner, a poet himself; a very hospitable and gentle Sixties soul. It's an intimate room bursting at the seams with readers and listeners of poetry. The first fledgling attempt was understandably passable, but we can only hope future events will be conducted with more planning, i.e., a PODIUM (please!) would be a welcome addition for readers' comfort. The initial theme was human rights, which was clarified later as not necessarily a reader's maxim; after a phone call for clarification, it was found to be open to any themed poem. I look forward to the next installment in what appears to be a monthly program of "Greenwich-Village" style cafe poetry. And it's not just the Beats in residence here. Ginsberg and Kerouac would be proud of this resurrection of poetry in Dunedin. However limited. However innocent. And, as bakery, there is the scone, tasty and unblemished by unnatural ingredients. Scone Age is the natural bread and sustenance of wheat and words in Dunedin. Long may it live and flourish!“
“8th street Pub at Safety HarborBaked wingsOrdered Dee's wings and mango habanero.Dees were super savory and gave off notes of italian dressingMango habanero was super sticky but enough tang and heat to pass the test for me.Inhouse blue cheese and ranch. We had the blue cheese obviously....because were not children.Sauce was lacking....plenty of it but just not pungent enough nor enough chonk. On the pricier side. 8 jumbo wings for 15Rating: 8.5 /10Would order againService was fantastic.“
“Great atmosphere. Right on the trail next to the parking garage makes it easier. They've done alot of renovations the past couple years that have made their patio area much more comfortable. Dogs are welcome and small play area for kids. Great beer choices on rotating taps. Reasonable prices.“
“This tiny gem of a bakery/breakfast place is worth finding. Tina and her team are non-stop An amazingly calm barista works there, the muffins are tender and tasty, and the egg sandwiches are large and perfectly cooked. We intended to go once and instead went three times in four days.“
