Being nimble, they have been able to shift from on-premises dining to exceptional online classes and prepared meals, as well as continuing their amazing catering services (nationwide delivery!). R2's holiday meal offerings are always above and beyond deliciousness (the R2 smoker and Ricardo's rubs = smoked meat perfection!). I also love the new take away Charcuterie kits, Brunch in a box, Burger kit boxes to go and more! Rosana and Ricardo like to mix it up and keep it fun. That said, they take customer and staff safety very seriously too; their massive catering kitchen is spotless! They are gracious, humble, and really care about giving their best to customers and the community as a whole. I am a s***** for a love story...and a love story surrounding food? Hook, line, sinker. You got me. R^2 is exactly that. 2 R's (Rosana and Ricardo) that come together to create beautiful food that tells their sensational, and remarkable love story. It's one of 5(?) concepts by this team and is focused mainly on catering and meal delivery service. I enjoyed the perfect empanadas. I had a beef one and vegetarian. I personally preferred the vegetarian but they were both sensational. This was my first time trying baked empanadas as opposed to fried and okay I am so sorry @ChefRicardo I must say I think I'm totally team baked!!!! If you've never experienced a baked empanada it's almost reminiscent of a chicken pot pie in texture combination...but like better. Totally better. The chimichurri sauce that was served with the empanadas was beyond words. I shouldn't admit this on the internet-but hey you people of the internet have officially seen into my living room so I feel comfy being my true self, I literally licked the remainder sauce from the plate after eating all the empanadas. I will be the first to click order should this stuff become available by the jar. The baked goods are going to be giving every bakery a run for their money. The croissant was magic. The Chefs behind R2 are clearly as talented as they are personable and charming. I can't wait to taste what else comes out of this wicked ghost kitchen. I can tell I have only scratched the surface... Fingers crossed my little sister is on board for their catering for her upcoming nuptials

I had the opportunity to participate in the Tampa Bakes Empanadas event with my wife, and before even talking about the food Chefs Rosana and Ricardo are quite the duo! They were ultimate pros and teachers, but also wonderful entertainers. To top it all off the empanadas were next level. Partnered with their house chimichurri, I couldn't stop eating them. They also shared with my wife a croissant when she picked up the kits...wowza. Between their restaurants and this great experience, I couldn't recommend their product enough.

Had a great opportunity to try out one of their Empanadas kits at home and I had so much fun with it. I had never made empanada before but the kit made it very easy with the circle does pre cut and the filling made. You just put everything together, bake or fry it, and enjoy. Simple, fun, and very yummy. It comes with some absolutely amazing chimichurri sauce that adds even more great flavor. In the roughs times that we are in right now it is great to see business getting creative to help feed their community. The owners and chefs of this business really care about their community and put a lot of love into the food they make. You can taste difference. All in all great experience for me and my wife and I'm excited to try more empanadas and the other foods they have to offer!

The online cooking class was constantly moving and very interactive. Participants were provided with 3 pre-made empanadas and ingredients for another 3. The instruction was very good and answered questions quickly. The empanadas were really tasty. Can't wait to grab some delivery from them soon!

This review is for an Yelp Elite virtual zoom class offered by Chef Rosana and Chef Ricardo, teaching us how to make their famous Empanadas. These chefs are a fun duo. They made kits for us, and in my case I picked up the kit the day before. The kit had pre-rolled dough, pre-cooked stuffing, egg wash, and delicious chimichurri sauce. The kit made it very easy to stuff the shells, bake them and enjoy delicious empanadas. The trickiest was to learn how to do the pinch and fold of the edges. The empanadas came out perfectly golden with crispy dough and heavenly flavorful stuffing. The kit even came with 3 pre-fully-baked empanadas in case of total disaster. These chefs are truly fun and personable. I noticed it even when I picked up the kit and had brief time to chat. They are naturals in front of camera and they play off of each other. Their passion of teaching us was clearly evident and positively infectious. Both chefs made the 1hr session engaging and fun. I took a class online to learn how to make empanadas which was taught by not one but two celebrity chefs! They were both on beat Bobby flay and Chef Rosana went on to take the gold with her amazing empanada recipe! This dynamic duo (husband and wife) are super fun and interactive in the online cooking class. The empanada recipe either fried or baked, is filled with delicious ground beef and potatoes, capers and olives. It's savory and salty and the delicious dough from the crust ties it all together. But the kicker that really did it for me was the creamy Chimichurri sauce. Oh man I could have just spoonfuls of that! It really brought out all the flavors of the meat and made the empanada shine. R2 provisions does it all; from empanadas to their next concepts of a smokehouse, strong coffees, pastries and more, they can make any catering event special with their tasty delicious food. I am really looking forward to more online cooking classes from these two!
