“A little disappointed. The “10” ounce filet special was much smaller than the 8 ounce filets we’ve had recently. The pork chop special was cut uneven so the thinner edge was overcooked. Both the filet and the pork chop tasted great and were otherwise cooked perfectly. The savory bread pudding and potato sides for the two specials were disappointing. They tasted fine but didn’t match class and expectations.”

“A true Gem in Cocoa Beach! Joe the sever is very knowledgeable and precise with his meal pacing. Mark the piano player provide excellent live music, playing all the favorites. The lighting has a few different shades of white in the room. The truly white LED type lighting is not attractive and I recommend the bulbs be matched to the others. Food is exquisite! Only disappointment is that a long term server Monica is no longer employed there. This will limit our returns as Joe and Her are truly best servers, will only return when Joe is working.”

“Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse- Cocoa Beach, FL- 4 Stars "I'm sure one of the frustrations of being a Western enthusiast of Japanese food and culture is you're confronted every day with the absolute certainty that you will die ignorant." - A. Bourdain One of the reasons I dislike coming to Cocoa Beach for reviews is that there are 100 restaurants and the majority are clip joints or tourist milkers. Don't misunderstand me here, I'm not knocking the tourists, I love not having a state income tax, I am, however; knocking those that rip them off as they give other proprietors, the area and the state, in general, a bad name. Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse is a joint in the Teppanyaki style of food prep. If you are unfamiliar, this is the style that was invented in Japan post-WWII by an enterprising entrepreneur by the name of Shigeji Fujioka of the Misono chain of restaurants in Japan. Most of us here in America know this style from the Benihana restaurant chain. Certainly a tourist trap, it boasted a fun touristy décor and a light warmhearted staff. My waitress was Davina and she is on top of things, prompt and 4000 times better than Amber in my previous dining experience in Cocoa Beach. Being served by a professional of Davina's caliber finally brought my blood pressure back down from dealing with the aforementioned Amber. I asked Davina for the Surf and Turf with Scallops and medium-rare bovine. After taking the orders of the rest of the table, Davina disappeared to the back and we soon saw our chef wheeling his cart of culinary destruction to our table. Everyone knows that half of this dining experience is the show the chef puts on and this guy, while his name escapes me at the nonce, put on a hell of a show. He was awesome and the food was downright wonderful. Grilling sliced steak medium-rare is not for the novice and this chap pulled it off in spectacular fashion. The Scallops, while slightly overdone for my taste, were delightfully flavored and left a succulent aftertaste. The salad was fresh, crisp and accompanied by the obligatory ginger-sesame dressing and I found the fried rice, while not my favorite item in the world, to be cooked properly with crisp veggies and properly seasoned. I always enjoy having my food prepared in front of me. This place is technically not in Cocoa Beach proper (this is no-man's land) this must be why the food is so much better. There aren't many good seafood restaurants here in Minnesota besides the big names. So it was a bit of a different atmosphere than we are used to. The experience was quite refreshing. “My daughter and I live in Orlando about 45 minutes from Cocoa Beach where this awesome cafe is located. On our way home we stopped to see what they may have for a snack. My daughter got an Acai bowl and I got the Chocolatta. It was hard to make up our mind because of so many choices, and the plus to this cafe is the coffee prices are so reasonable, and there are many healthy alternatives you can choose here as well. They have Avocado toast, a frozen coconut water drink, smoothies, sugar free ice cream choices along with regular ice cream choices, you can choose almond milk as well for the drink you choose. They have healthy lunch choices as well. Today we saw the lunch special was chicken sausage Quesadilla , hummus, plantain chips. There are veggie quesadillas as well. There are blueberry sconces and a variety of cakes to choose from as well as a variety of ice cream flavors as well. The guy who served us yesterday there around 4:45 was extremely helpful, patient and served us with a smile! We hope to return next week !”

The chips and salsa were good and fresh, although the salsa was thin and could really use some chunks of onion and tomato. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Cocoa Beach! A+++”

“Siam Orchid Cocoa Beach is a Thai, Japanese & sushi restaurant inside the La Quinta Inn that offers a casual space with Asian flair. We discovered this restaurant on our way back to the hotel and decided to check it out. After seeing the reviews on Yelp, we decided to make this our choice for dinner. Walking in, the location was clean and presented a dim ambiance. We headed to the hostess stand, requested a table for two and were immediately taken to our table. As it was my first time, I took a moment to take in all of the options. The menu was very robust and had pages of great options. Once I had taken it all in, I decided on the Crab Rangoon for my appetizer and the Pad Thai with Chicken as my entreé. Crab Rangoon: Very Meaty. Not the cluster of Cream Cheese inner back home. These were filled with crab meat and the right amount of cream cheese. They were very flavorful and fried to perfection. The sweet chili sauce provided was amazing as well and really put the flavor profile on 1000. Pad Thai: The Pad Thai was off the chain good. Great portion. Multi-Flavor profile dish which was done to perfection. All of the flavors paired well and allowed each one to shine. The level of sweetness was exactly as you would expect from a Pad Thai dish done right. Also, the noodles were done perfectly which really complimented the tenderness of the chicken. I’m talking Purrrrrrrrrrfection. Siam Orchid Cocoa Beach was a great decision for dinner. Compliments to the chef.”

We grabbed a bucket of beer, the cheese dip appetizer, and a fish taco (their specialty). Overall the food was okay, for the price it could have been a little better but still good! The fish tacos were big but didn't contain a lot of fish. I would definitely come through here again but if you have a large family it may be a little pricey for beach/bar food.”

“Restaurant is inside the Resort on Cocoa Beach. Food was great! Service was amazing. Today they have a “Cuban Night” serving Oxtail Cuban style. We are definitely going tonight to enjoy some Cuban food.

Like I said, came to try the Oxtail and it was delicious, it is served with black beans, white rice, yucca and fried plantains. I definitely recommend it.
Every Thursday they have Cuban food. There is also Happy Hour from 4:00 to 6:00 seven days a week.”

“Needed some food while in town spending most of my time at Cape Canaveral Hospital. There were a few Chinese options equal distance away. This was exactly what I expected… except for the fact the Generals and Sesame chicken meals were really nice portions of white meat. I could barely finish mine. Two lunch plates with fried rice and a soda…~$20.50 (special served until 3pm). I would have no issue paying the higher (slightly) menu price for what you get.
And when I got back to the hospital, parked, and went to 4th floor to eat…food was still very hot. Thanks Kim Bo!”
