Cute cafe.we didn't eat here. But our walking guide recommended going to the cafe because you can also look at the butterflies flying in the conservatory. There is also a chihuly glass hanging from the ceiling in the middle..

Right next to the butterfly garden. Awesome eats. Healthy food too.
The atmosphere is nice, the food is ok, but the service was horrible. We were there December 28th, for lunch. The cashier lady was terribly rude. My daughter politely asked what the creamy potato soup had and the lady looked upset for having to answer that. I asked her if she could ask somebody and she was calling but she looked very irritated that we asked that. In the end we bought the soup and a wrap because we were hungry. Also, she never told us where to get the food so we sat there waiting and we went to the cashier and didn't see any food and again I asked her where to get the food and again she looked like we were inconveniencing her and people in line told us where to get it. Terrible service! What could be a great memory for us ended up being a bad moment for the terrible experience with a gratuitous angry demeanor.

The Fairchild is a great visit, and food at the Cafe is good. Hummus was a bit bland, and prices are a little high for a self service format, but a good choice is you're hungry at Fairchild on a non-festival visitVegetarian options: Good options, but the hummus was kind of blah

You don’t come for the food. It’s a respite from the heat. Best part is the wall of windows to view the butterfly house. Just get a drink and sit and watch them fly by.

Wonderful view, good for coffee or drinks, a fresh and wide selection of pastry.

We were there in an event day so it was quite crowded. A little confusing about where to order and then where to pick up the food but the mango gazpacho was excellent.
