It’s a good place to eat chicken. Taste pretty good. They just need to heat up the tortillas a bit more and should of gave me a bigger chicken lol

Place is a bit of a dive but has the best wood grilled chicken in town. There are only 3 options: full chicken, half chicken or chicken wings. All come with rice and beans. I recommend getting some chicken to go after you eat your meal bc the chicken is even better cold the next day. Yummy

My fiancé and I have been going here for years and it is the best smoked, wood fire grilled chicken ever! The chicken is always perfect, the smell is so amazing and will have your mouth watering all the way home! It pairs perfect with the beans, rice, pickled red onions and fresh salsa that it comes with too! This is a hidden gem definitely! I am going back Vegan in the new year and we put this on our list of MUST HAVES before 2020 begins!

Saw this on a list of Don’t Miss Restaurants in Kansas City. And for good reason. The menu is simple, a whole chicken, a half chicken, or chicken wings. That’s it. But so good. Comes with tortillas, rice, and charro beans. Chicken is grilled over wood right before your eyes. If you’re any we near here, don’t miss it.

Well it's pretty simple: 1 chicken, 1/2 chicken or chicken wings. That's it. Comes with tortillas, rice, beans, onions. Simple but good. The chicken is smoked, the beans are great and I make little rice, onion and bean soft tacos out of the sides.

Only three items on the menu, and all chicken, but still what a great place. They give you all the ingredients for you to make your own chicken tacos to your liking. One novelty is the salsa which is in the form of smooth slush. The grilled chicken is delicious, especially the crisp skin part. And, all at what a great price.

Yes, just three things on the menu...but they do chicken great. We could have split the half chicken order between the two of us easily. Excellent food. Well worth going

The chicken at El Pollo Rey has a great wood grilled flavor. The place is not fancy but everyone is nice and the prices are reasonable.
Basically just plain chicken grilled over live wood coals. And it is delicious. Comes tortillas with small cups of sides: rice, beans and a salsa that tastes more like gazpacho.

Everything was GREAT, service was 100%. I come here ever night and morning. The chicken is never dry. There is TONS of flies, but it is fine because i dont want flie killer in my food. 10/10 would come back
