As a Jamaican immigrant of 14+ years, I have to say this is best Jamaican food I've ever had in the US. The food has soul, flavor, and seasoned very well. It sell off, literally! Shell dung! I will absolutely be returning and hope they open restaurants soon. Sometimes restaurants lose quality but I don't think this will be the case for these brothers.

This was a food truck, so atmosphere was not a big factor in our decision to try Simply Delicious Kitchen. Nevertheless, I gave the "atmosphere" four points for having a clean picnic table covered by a big umbrella for shade. It is on a busy street so expect some traffic noise. The jerk pork came in big bites piled high over rice and beans. Having asked for mild, I was happy with the bit of kick in the sauce to round out the flavors. The fried plantains were better than many that we have had in Jamaica or San Juan. Bet the cornbread would have been great too but they were out of it. Based on my meal I highly recommend the food here.

All the food trucks in this little area pass the vibe check, but this one is definitely a front-runner. They have all the Jamaican essentials on the menu and a little bit of seating by the truck. The jerk chicken had good heat, good smoke, and solid flavor.. 8/10 rating. It also came in a very generous portion. The plantains had nice crispy edges, and were pretty much perfect. The beef patty also had good heat and was just what you'd expect if you've ever had the real deal in the islands. My food was ready lightning fast (came out in like 2 minutes after ordering). That's a huge plus since I've waited 30+ minutes at two other trucks in this lot area. Good people are running the truck, too. Show them some love!
This is a vibe. Definitely worth the trip. Price for portion and quantity is great. I got the curry chicken perfectly seasoned sort juicy chicken not over spicy. Wife got jerk chicken awesome!! Cousin got the brown stew oxtails. Very satisfied overall!!
