The food smells good but that’s it. The wings are small and the shrimp is rubbery. Everything lacks seasoning. I usually to go the one in Deerfield but decided to give this one a try since it’s closer and had good reviews but I won’t be back.

Hook's is a hole in the wall restaurant off Hillsboro. The building is a bit run down, but the food makes up for that. We tried the fried shrimp, the chicken nuggets, and the chicken tenders. The fried shrimp was absolutely excellent. The chicken nuggets are essentially big chunks of chicken breast, similar to the tenders. They were served fresh and very hot, so hot in fact that we felt the chicken tasted better after cooling down for 15 minutes or so. Hook's does have a drive through and it was consistently busy for our entire time there. The service inside was a bit slow due to the drive through.

This was my 3rd visit and each time a purchase 2 VIP Dinners. The first visit I didn’t know how or what to order and the manager was so friendly very polite and very very helpful we went through what I like and how I wanted it and he point me out to the VIP Dinner it would be the best offer to what I liked and he was so RIGHT!!! I love seafood and I’m very picky I’m from NC and I have a place there I love and miss called Mayflower and haven’t been able to find anything close to that place. And I tell you you all get A +. Your seafood ? really hit the spot. I’ve been there three times and each time my food was hot fresh nicely prepared cooked to order wait time was not long at all. Prepared the way I ask. I will always be there to get my favorite!!!! 2 VIP Dinners. One with tilapia, shrimp, and clams, the other with tilapia, shrimp and oysters. And I tell you, my and my husband are hooked. Thank you. I will speed the word and we will be back.

I was recommended to this place for the best Snapper I can eat. And it was all true. It was freshly cooked and well seasoned. I enjoyed it so much, I sent my daughter to get me another one the next day, and it was just as good. When I visit Florida again, that will be my first stop for dinner.
