“Urban Brick - DeLand, FL I've been in the restaurant business for over 40 years, and I don't often write reviews -- but Urban Brick really deserves one! I've been here several times now, and every visit has been fantastic. The food is absolutely amazing -- full of flavor and clearly made with care. They're known for their Italian dishes, and as someone who once owned an Italian restaurant myself, I can honestly say they're doing it right. The service is excellent too -- friendly, attentive, and genuine. Last night I had the Spaghetti Bolognese, which was just perfect. My cousin had the catch of the day and said it was incredible. We finished with the tiramisu, and it was the perfect ending to a great meal. Huge thanks to whoever runs this wonderful place. You're doing an outstanding job. Can't wait to come back!”

Which I am honesty not a fan of for many reasons. My son had already finished eating. So I'd requested boxes and to speak with a manager. After the manager admitted they did not even get it close to medium, but it was a perfect rare. Which I had not ordered due to my inability to eat a rare steak because of my dentures. His reasoning was because sometimes when they get an evening rush this kinda thing happens. This was not a satisfactory response for me. If you are going to charge me $35 dollars for a steak, there is no reason why it should not be cooked correctly! We drove up from Ormond Beach hungry and I left feeling tha same way. Just 70$ less in my pocket. :-/ ha”

It's one of the last hometown places that's not a chain where you can make new friends and eat in a welcoming atmosphere. I'm there several days a week. I can recommend the Eggs Benedict Florentine, The French Toast or Pancake Combo, Any of the build your own egg combos, and the Boss or Half Boss. Things are tough for everyone but ditch the chains and trade out with this place and keep this gem alive.... 💗”

“Today we celebrated my daughter’s birthday in Rodeo Whips party saloon! She was pinned honorary sheriff, and put in charge of the tunes until she deemed it cake time! The piano played her happy birthday and continued in the background for the second half of the party. Smiles and presents for miles, her favorite flavors of ice-cream, and a buffet of toppings Rodeo Whip’s staff really went out of their way to help make her day special. Good times we’re had by all! My favorite things made possible, was the opportunity for us to set up an outdoor shade tent for indoor/outdoor seating options. Our party was small enough we were able to block off the front parking for those who prefer the outdoors more. I brought sidewalk chalk and should have packed bubbles!”

I've been 4 times and every time I think it will be different...but each time they pad their bill....so beware and check....The charges on the bill have been higher than what's on the menu...Today they charged 75 cents for dressing on a salad....not extra dressing...Dressing always comes with a salad...Then there was a total of over $1 added for ingredients published on the menu as coming with the salad. Every time I have questioned the server they say the manager is not there...I guess the restaurant runs itself. No adjustment and of course it makes the tax higher. So, to make it up, no tip ...I usually over tip but was so disgusted. To have this happen 4 times is not a mistake.... Don't go there...”

$8 for a fresh, definitely not frozen fruit smoothie, or for a HUGE fresh fruit cup that you can add chamoy, tajin, or other things to, this is the best deal in DeLand.

Parking: If you're ever going to Stetson for an event, make sure you ensure that you know where to park. It is a bit challenging to wait until you get there. Because the parking is not arranged in a logical fashion. Other than that, it was a great place, and I enjoyed myself.”

“it's true that there are limited options for decent Chinese food in this area. We have tried several throughout Volusia County and have not been terribly pleased.
I'm happy to say that Topps China Has provided us with the best menu options and food quality that we have encountered in a very long time. We have been there about four times now, And love their barbecued bone in spare ribs, I love their broccoli with garlic sauce, although I do think it needs a little bit more spice. My husband has been very pleased with their beef and mushroom. And their eggrolls are
Seriously the best I've had in Florida in 20 years. The fried and steamed dumplings are a mixed bag, normally I enjoy dumplings but this is the one menu item that I'm not a fan of.
The restaurant area has a few very clean, nice tables, Nothing fancy or formal, Perfect if you just want to have a quick bite and eat there.
They do not offer delivery, But you can call ahead to place your order for pick up.
The kitchen appears to be reasonably clean from what I could see, But as with any restaurant there are no guarantees.
The staff is pleasant but focused on doing their job. I have no complaints, And we plan on continuing to do business with them.”

What a disappointment. The hamburger that I got was the worst ever it was dry bun was hard I couldn't even bite it only reason why I ate the damn thing is because I was so hungry I needed some food it's also the only reason why I stopped there. I will not be returning EVER.”
