“Urban Brick - DeLand, FL I've been in the restaurant business for over 40 years, and I don't often write reviews -- but Urban Brick really deserves one! I've been here several times now, and every visit has been fantastic. The food is absolutely amazing -- full of flavor and clearly made with care. They're known for their Italian dishes, and as someone who once owned an Italian restaurant myself, I can honestly say they're doing it right. The service is excellent too -- friendly, attentive, and genuine. Last night I had the Spaghetti Bolognese, which was just perfect. My cousin had the catch of the day and said it was incredible. We finished with the tiramisu, and it was the perfect ending to a great meal. Huge thanks to whoever runs this wonderful place. You're doing an outstanding job. Can't wait to come back!”

When I first walked in I though I went to a Chinese food spot on accident, but they have it there as well. I'll try that sometime when I'm in the mood. Can't wait to have more wings from here!!”

“Very disappointed, you'd think ordering a steak here they would cook it to the right temp. They didn't even get it close, by time we were checked on again and offered a refire. Which I am honesty not a fan of for many reasons. My son had already finished eating. So I'd requested boxes and to speak with a manager. After the manager admitted they did not even get it close to medium, but it was a perfect rare. Which I had not ordered due to my inability to eat a rare steak because of my dentures. His reasoning was because sometimes when they get an evening rush this kinda thing happens. This was not a satisfactory response for me. If you are going to charge me $35 dollars for a steak, there is no reason why it should not be cooked correctly! We drove up from Ormond Beach hungry and I left feeling tha same way. Just 70$ less in my pocket. :-/ ha”

It's one of the last hometown places that's not a chain where you can make new friends and eat in a welcoming atmosphere. I'm there several days a week. I can recommend the Eggs Benedict Florentine, The French Toast or Pancake Combo, Any of the build your own egg combos, and the Boss or Half Boss. Things are tough for everyone but ditch the chains and trade out with this place and keep this gem alive.... 💗”

“Fuji Express is my favorite DeLand sushi and hibachi spot. The Salmon Bento box is a deal. A generous, tasty piece of salmon with Gyoza, steamed rice and California roll. The Hibachi Special is also tasty. I love the Avocado salad, the soups, and the sushi rolls. Green tea mochi is a favorite for dessert. The staff all are super friendly and helpful.”

“Today we celebrated my daughter’s birthday in Rodeo Whips party saloon! She was pinned honorary sheriff, and put in charge of the tunes until she deemed it cake time! The piano played her happy birthday and continued in the background for the second half of the party. Smiles and presents for miles, her favorite flavors of ice-cream, and a buffet of toppings Rodeo Whip’s staff really went out of their way to help make her day special. Good times we’re had by all! My favorite things made possible, was the opportunity for us to set up an outdoor shade tent for indoor/outdoor seating options. Our party was small enough we were able to block off the front parking for those who prefer the outdoors more. I brought sidewalk chalk and should have packed bubbles!”

I've been 4 times and every time I think it will be different...but each time they pad their bill....so beware and check....The charges on the bill have been higher than what's on the menu...Today they charged 75 cents for dressing on a salad....not extra dressing...Dressing always comes with a salad...Then there was a total of over $1 added for ingredients published on the menu as coming with the salad. Every time I have questioned the server they say the manager is not there...I guess the restaurant runs itself. No adjustment and of course it makes the tax higher. So, to make it up, no tip ...I usually over tip but was so disgusted. To have this happen 4 times is not a mistake.... Don't go there...”

“The fresh fruit, smoothies and juices are delicious!! They have been gone since before Christmas and I am SO glad that they have finally come back. It is Saturday and Sunday only but two days is definitely better than none!

$8 for a fresh, definitely not frozen fruit smoothie, or for a HUGE fresh fruit cup that you can add chamoy, tajin, or other things to, this is the best deal in DeLand.

We share the Mongolian beef - wow! Tender beef, medium spicy sauce, green and white onions. The rice was perfect. We shared but they gave us two rice bowls. We would highly recommend this restaurant. They have a chef and a sushi chef. Owner on the premises and it shows. 5 stars.”

“2 scoops of frozen vanilla custard with hot caramel and banana slices at Culver’s is one of life’s great joys! I enjoy their burgers and fried cheese curds as well, but nothing makes me happier than their custard! Service is always quick and friendly, and the restaurant is always clean!”

“I have been going to Top China for years ever since I was a little girl, my parents took me here and I always find myself going back. I always get the same order, General Tso’s Chicken with veggie fried rice and veggie roll. It never disappoints me, the rice to meat ratio is perfect.

She told me that I would have to drive around the building because they were on a timer. I was like okay I understand the time or deal. I drive around the building went to place the order at the drive-thru window she asked me what would I like to drink and I told her. She then came back with we no longer we're no longer serving anymore hamburgers tonight. I was like really she just heard me before I drove around the building ask her to place an order for a double Frisco burger. My boyfriend was at home and he wanted me to bring him one. What a disappointment. The hamburger that I got was the worst ever it was dry bun was hard I couldn't even bite it only reason why I ate the damn thing is because I was so hungry I needed some food it's also the only reason why I stopped there. I will not be returning EVER.”
