We have a Veterans' group linked to CAVA (Cuban-American Veterans Association) that come to have lunch every Friday at 12:30. We usually sit in the table as you walk in at the end by the desserts cooler. Their split pea soup (chícharos) is to die for. & Danelys gives impeccable attention to detail service to her years long guests (us). Bathrooms are clean & A/C is always cold enough.The best part is we have fun in camaraderie with each other.
I've been coming to this place since it opened 20+yrs ago. And I've taken some time not going because of work routes. But I always loved their food, all of it, coffee, and the staff, so I'd try to come back sometimes. Well, my 3 stars is not because of any of those things, but for the prices that went ridiculously high. Regular cuban style fried empanaditas (small ones) are almost $3 each! I recently visited Tropic Grill, and their sandwiches are absolutely delicious! Not only were the portions generous, but the flavors were just perfect, leaving a lasting impression.
