I called to place an order over the phone, the girl that answered the phone told me that my order was going to be ready in 15min, I get there 30 min after and my order was not ready, when I get my order I see that my steak is well done after i said that I wanted it medium rare( I say this in English) apparently she didn’t understand since she only speaks Spanish, but what got me mad is that this girl told me that next time I need to be more cleared. No customer service at all, I guess is too much for her, she was in the window by her self answering phones and helping everyone.

I recently visited Tropic Grill, and their sandwiches are absolutely delicious! Not only were the portions generous, but the flavors were just perfect, leaving a lasting impression. The restaurant itself is clean and tidy, providing a comfortable dining environment. I will definitely be coming back next time!

Went to the window to grab a quick bite on my way to work. Asked the waitress if they had croquetas and she responded "Yes" then disappeared into the back without saying anything else. 15 minutes later, she showed up with a plate of just fried croquetas. They were frozen solid on the inside. When I told her, she grabbed the plate and disappeared inside to try again. Before I could say anything back. I just walked away as I was already late for work. In conclusion, another really good place to eat, but be prepared to yell at people if you want even the slightest amount of attention.

We have a Veterans' group linked to CAVA (Cuban-American Veterans Association) that come to have lunch every Friday at 12:30. We usually sit in the table as you walk in at the end by the desserts cooler. Their split pea soup (chícharos) is to die for. & Danelys gives impeccable attention to detail service to her years long guests (us). Bathrooms are clean & A/C is always cold enough.The best part is we have fun in camaraderie with each other.

The menu hours are inconsistent, the service is mediocre, the manager is never anywhere to be found, the coffee is inconsistent, the bathroom is abysmal only thing they have going is their prices at times.

I've been coming to this place since it opened 20+yrs ago. And I've taken some time not going because of work routes. But I always loved their food, all of it, coffee, and the staff, so I'd try to come back sometimes. Well, my 3 stars is not because of any of those things, but for the prices that went ridiculously high. Regular cuban style fried empanaditas (small ones) are almost $3 each! Cafe con leche, the same. What happened? I had 2 empanadas + 1 café con leche (small) and I paid almost $10 including tax and tip. That has crossed the line and I cannot keep paying those prices. I know inflation has affected everyone but you basically doubled the price in less than a 12-18 months. I don't even want to know what food is inside. Best of luck.

My first Cuban restaurant.The food was very different from Mexican food, and not familiar taste to me. But I definitely enjoyed them without any hesitation.One thing funny to me was some waitresses don't speak English at all. They speak Spanish only proudly. ?
