“It's your dive bar kinda seafood fried, grilled, or blackened. Flavor was a bit lacking on the special for a higher price point. My biggest peeve of any restaurant is always rice. Get a dedicated rice cooker and serve real rice. The pilaf tastes like boil in a bag. Staff was amazing though. I'd return and simply order something else. “Thank goodness Hidden Treasures employees Bon Bon Keating as bartender and server. After experiencing service at other restaurants because of staff shortages, not so with Hidden treasure when Bon Bon is working. She appears to do theory of at least 3 staff. Speedy, fun service from her always. She is their Hidden treasure.“

“Been Wintering in New Smyrna for years, eating out 2-5 times a week. Finally got around to Blackbeards after driving by many, many times.In a word, delightful. Beautiful setting in a comfortable warm, dining room. Waitress (“Lisa”) was friendly, knew the menu, had an answer to every question we had and checked back to make sure all was in order. It was.I had a delicious bowl of fish chowder, a great filet of Broiled Haddock with mixed rice, a large salad, a huge hush puppy and a basket of warm bread and cinnamon rolls. My companion had the Clam strips platter with a sweet potato that came with a thick sweet sauce that was spectacular, and the same sides. We agreed that overall it was among the very best meals we have had in all the time we have been coming to NSB. Coincidentally we got in under the Early Bird plan and the whole dinner including a Margarita for her was, (drumroll),$41.00!! Good food, good waitress, good deal!“

“One of the best meals I've had in a long time. The combination of excellent food, excellent atmosphere, and outstanding service sets the Spott apart from the other restaurants in NSB but also other places in Central Florida. You can tell it's a chef driven restaurant using the freshest and local ingredients when possible. Scotty is an excellent server who has mastered the art of being attentive without being obtrusive. Great recommendations on what to order, the Grouper and Snapper were some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend and hope to return again in the future.“

“So if you’re after a hometown experience with five-star food, Breakers is your place. The place was PACKED when I walked in, but I found a seat at the bar. The bartender Brian was attentive as can be, the food came out quick and was absolutely incredible. I’m only in town for the night but I can’t wait to visit again. “Unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of sitting outside...we were starving so we sat indoors and the food was great. We drove an hour to eat there, alligator bites were delish, hamburgers were great fish sandwich and Caesar salad were all given thumbs up by everyone in my party.“

You just have to be willing to trade the view for lower prices and better service.We did a weeknight at 5 and got right in (or I should say out as we ate on the patio). The Thai Thai shrimp is awesome and is large enough to be a group appetizer. Coconut shrimp was very good and you get a huge portion. Drinks are good and well priced and the beer list is solid.Lots of parking and close enough to the beach to still get the NSB feel. Highly recommended.“

“Always enjoy having a nice seafood lunch on the deck while taking in the intercoastal scenery. Great smoked fish dip starter (1/2 portion was ample for wife & I) then shared a platter with grilled shrimp, scallops, oysters, deviled crab & fish that was extremely tasty! Sides of black eyed peas and greens accompanied very nicely. Their Florida chowder is a nice tomato based soup that my wife prefers while I basically inhaled their thick, delicious clam chowder. I could eat a gallon of that wonderful creation.It's a must visit restaurant that won't disappoint. Don't be discouraged if there is a wait... it will be worth it!“

“Where to begin?It's a small establishment to be sure, but that only adds to the atmosphere. A bigger venue would only feel less inviting. As it is, the restaurant is clean and well maintained. The bathroom was spotless.The wait staff is attentive and friendly without feeling cloying or pushy. They never made us feel like they were trying to clear a table for the next guests.If that weren't enough, the food is incredible. The crepe lasagna is now one of the top three meals I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. It was tender and flavorful without being soupy or turning into mush, as so many lasagnas do. I will point out that our food took a while, however in this case that's not a downside.This restaurant is the kind of place you go for a proper multi course dinner, not an eatery that tries to serve as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. It never felt as though we were waiting our food, it felt as if they were waiting for us to be ready for the next course.It is overall, friendly, welcoming, and serves absolutely outstanding food.On the five-star Google scale, this place is a 10 out of 10. “Asian Sauce Box is my favorite Chinese restaurant in town and an I’m Chinese Jamaican! Yes it’s a little pricey, but the food is so good, it’s really worth it! No other Chinese restaurant in town even comes close in my honest opinion. In fact I just told a friend about it and both her husband and her will be going there for dinner sometime next week, I think, with us. She’s never been there, but she’s going with both my husband and I soon.“

“Out of towner here, and OMG the food was EXCEPTIONAL! I had the scallops with red potatoes and Parmesan crusted spinach. My partner had the mahi mahi and we shared the other side tuni appitizer. If a server passed your table, with a smile they asked how everything was and did you need anything. Best staff attitude I have seen in a long time. Cudos to the Staff and mgt. “My family took my to Hidden Treasure for dinner for Mother's Day. The atmosphere was wonderful, the views outside was just amazing. The service was very good but it was so packed we waited a very long time to get our drinks, appetizers, then the food. I'm not sure if it's always that busy but it was crazy busy. With the wonderful scenery and we were not in any hurry we were not bothered by the length of time we had to wait but if you go maybe on a weekend, come with patience. Reservations are not required but I believe it's a MUST!!!!! The food was very good and the service was very good despite the massive crowd. We're willing to go again but won't go without reserving a table.“

“My friend and I were looking for a seafood place to hang out for a late lunch. After doing a quick Google search, found the Boston's Fish House in New Smyrna Beach, FL. I had the shrimp wrap with sweet potato fries (which were yummy). The wrap was stuffed with moist, fresh shrimp along with lettuce and celery. So good. My friend had the Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich with fries and she said it was delicious! The service was fine. The restaurant itself has a laid back vibe. There is outdoor setting where your furry companions can hang out with you!“

“Coastal Grill and Raw Bar is a convenient restaurant for both residents of Port Orange, Florida and travelers heading up or down Interstate 95. Coastal Grill and Raw Bar is located on Dunlawton Avenue which leads to an exit on Interstate 95 and is pretty much the main road heading east and west in Port Orange, Florida. The place has a pretty cool ambiance, it definitely enhances the overall dining experience. The service is friendly and professional. This also enhances the dining experience. The menu is a bit eclectic. Seafood and barbecue on the same menu seems a bit of a stretch, but it is what it is. The New England clam chowder was a great start to the meal. I am a huge fan of New England clam chowder and Coastal Grill and Raw Bar has a pretty solid New England clam chowder. For my main entree, I went with the fried seafood platter. Nothing spectacular, but nothing terrible either. I was between three and four stars, but went with four stars mainly for the service and the ambiance. The food I would probably go with three stars.“

“Since I live in Ponce Inlet, I've been to Down the Hatch many times and have always found their seafood to be so fresh all the time. This time I had my sons visiting me from St. Louis, they wanted to eat at the best restaurant for seafood, and of course, we went right here and it didn't disappoint. They especially loved the shecrab soup with the sherry on the side. It was scrumptious. Their dinners were wonderful, as well as the desserts. Needless to say, we went home with plenty of leftovers. Steve, the server was great. All in all, it was a perfect night. So whether you live nearby or on vacation, make it a point to dine there.“

There is a lot to be desired with the quality of service we received.For some reason, it took 15 minutes from when we were seated to when someone checked on us to see if anyone had taken our order. “Loved it here for lunch as did our guests. Riverdeck did a great job on the renovations, clean, bright, tables on the deck ,not crowded in and with a beautiful river view all around. Interesting menu choices, lots of fun cocktails too. We had the pleasure of meeting BRAKUS (not sure of sp) on his first day there as a server. He was quite personable, fun, and entertaining! He will definitely be a great asset to the restaurant! The pesto shrimp flatbread and ahi tuna app were very good. My husband had a burger that had ham , cheese, onion rings, bacon stacked on it.. it was over 4 -5 in high.. difficult to eat but good. * I really dislike when ppl give ratings of 1 or 2 ‘based on an issue such as valet, or club colors ’. Not food/service. Doesn’t seem fair. I can see why they use valet, the parking lot has ruts that rainwater accumulates in, ppl would get wet getting in or out of their cars.“

“The food was good . The oysters however, although perfectly cooked, were somewhat tasteless. What was great were Michele, TJ and another young guy who came to our aid when our 2017 CRV failed to start. Having recently arrived from Colorado, knowing nothing about the area, my wife and I were understandably a bit panicked. These great young folks rounded up jumper cables and soon had us on our way. We will always remember the friendly help we received in our time of need.“
