“My husband and I decided to take a ride on a rainy Sunday afternoon down to Everglades City to see what was there. We decided to stop and try the Diving Pelican for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by what we found. From the first greeting from Julie (a.k.a. Jules) as we walked in the door, all the way until we were finished eating and left, we fell in love with this spectacular restaurant. My husband had the shrimp basket (locally wild caught) with the black beans and rice. He said it was the best he had ever had. There were lots of wonderful choices on the menu for the seafood lovers, and plenty of other non-seafood options for those that are not such a seafood fan (like me). I had the steak sandwich and it was delicious. The service was top notch and friendly. The atmosphere was well planned and executed. The inside was very quaint the pretty. I would definitely recommend the Diving Pelican!!“
“This place left me Awe struck. Its a step back in time. Lost craftsmanship wood working masterpiece. To maintain and keep this in the shape its in in a hurricane prone area for how old it is could only be done with dedication and love. Team work and good owners make stuff like that possible. the tediousness of restoring old wood buildings in Florida is a labor of love. I cannot describe how kool this place is if you are a waterman you'll love it. WOW. Great rum punch!“
“Ordered snapper sand and it was the mahi. Still good but annoying. They were also out of stone crab which was crazy they didn’t have a server run over to the grocery store and get more. Overall the place is on a great spot and I totally get they had a rush so the staff were great considering!“
