“I can't fully express how exceptional this restaurant is. I organized a sunset cruise for a group of 24 guests, but unfortunately, they didn’t have the provisions (food) we were expecting. In a moment of panic, I contacted the owner, Jackson, and explained the situation, hoping for a backup plan within 30 minutes (sounds impossible 🥵). Not only did he agree to accommodate us, he immediately began preparing for us. Once we arrived, he and his team welcomed us with such warmth and hospitality. Our table was beautifully set, complete with a customized and printed menu just for us. He chose 3 dinner options for our party and actually had custom printed menus! Wow!! Drinks, salad, and bread were flowing within minutes, and the food? Absolutely divine—without a doubt the best Italian cuisine we’ve ever had. To top it off, there was a live performer who was fantastic! Totally unexpected, we had no clue there was entertainment but such another great treat. She engaged with everyone, took song requests, and even invited guests to join her to sing. The entire experience, from the atmosphere to the impeccable service, was beyond anything we could have hoped for. Jackson even served our table personally and jumped in to assist his team, going the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and special. He continued to check in and make sure we were ok and had everything we needed and accommodated every single request ❤️ I am incredibly grateful for everything. Jackson and his staff turned what could have been a stressful situation into an unforgettable evening. This special group of oncology nurses truly deserved a memorable night, and thanks to you, we got exactly that. Thank you so much for making it an experience we will never forget! 🥰“

“Freddie’s is a well-equipped a bar for sports enthusiasts: More than a dozen large screens can be tuned to multiple sporting events. As a bar, it had a limited but satisfying beer and liquor selection but offsets that lack of variety with high quality food. The wings are amazing, and there are lots of fried seafood, salads, sandwiches and burgers, all fresher and tastier than you’d expect. This is also a no frills bar for locals, a true neighborhood hangout worth getting to know even if you don’t live in the neighborhood.“

I ordered the gator bites with a side of fries, paired with a shot of Jose Cuervo.

For anyone who hasn’t tried them, gator bites are typically made from premium alligator tail meat, the most tender cut of the animal. The meat is seasoned with a blend of salt, black pepper, garlic, paprika, and Cajun spices, then coated in seasoned flour or cornmeal breading and fried until golden brown. The result is a crispy exterior with a juicy, tender center. The flavor is mild, lean, and slightly sweet, often compared to a mix of chicken and fresh white fish.

The dish was served with two sauces that brought everything together: a cool, creamy ranch-style sauce with garlic and herb notes, and a sweet chili dipping sauce with a glossy texture, mild heat, and tangy sweetness that balanced the fried bites perfectly. Both paired great with the gator and fries.

These were easily some of the best I’ve had: no gamey taste, perfectly seasoned, crispy outside, tender inside, and cooked exactly right.

“This place is very very fun! Beautiful dancers! Drinks are decently priced! The atmosphere is very Ratchetesque, gotta love it! Perfect place to keep the party going after everywhere else closes! They have pool tables and darts! The sound system is very good inside as well! Music is bumping all night and morning till 10am!!

Parking: On the weekends they only charge $5 for parking, the parking lot is small but i havent had an issue finding a spot yet. Not sure if there is other parking around or not.“

“This place is the best and most laid back sports bar in Broward and, in my honest opinion, in all of South Florida in general. Let's start with the servers. These ladies are all gorgeous, helpful, diligent, fast, but most of all, friendly and relatable. I've been here about two or three times after discovering this place hidden away on 441 and McNab. And the crazy thing was I'd lived next to this place for years but only found it a few weeks ago. Now I'm a regular for sure, and with no regrets. The liquor is always on point, and the food is great! And the staff is always ready to treat you like a king/queen while they take care of your order in a flash. Thank you, Shea, Lee, Rhea, LaLa and Tiffany, for always making me feel at home when I come visit my favorite SoFlo Chill spot. This place is highly recommended.
