Beautiful hotel but house cleaning was terrible! The first day they took "some" of the trash out but didn't make the beds or clean the bathroom. I had to make 3 calls to the front desk before someone came up. They assured me we would receive a thorough cleaning the next day. It was actually worse! They didn't come at all. We were gone the entire day and walked into a dirty room. This was infuriating! This hotel cost $400 per night. They gave us a $100 credit, but this was a drop in the bucket. I would have rather they kept the money and saved me the frustration of dealing with their lack of service. The manager was busy when I went to the front desk to complain but didn't have the decency to call when she we free. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It's too expensive to not provide great service. Update....After submitting my review, I started reading others. Seems this is the norm for this hotel. They provide bad service, Natalie G. gives an empty "we're sorry for your terrible experience speech", and that's it. No compensation for their lack of service. Guess I should feel lucky to have received $100 off a $1600 bill. Should have read the Yelp reviews before I booked. Lesson learned!

I wanted to love this hotel. But. it was the first vacation that my husband and I took alone since our honeymoon 25 yrs ago we saved up money to finally go this year. He wanted it to be so special but things kept going wrong each day. had a beautiful room that looked directly at the ocean I took a shower and it smelled like sewage. called down they came up and poured bleach down drain. still smelled the next day they tried again but it didnt work - by 3 rd day asked for a different room but left some items in old room but never got them back from the maids knowing we were changing rooms. The 1st room was way better then 2 nd room so felt like a downgrade. the last night we had no water but was fixed by morning when we were leaving beach umbrellas a extra charge rip off. the valets were very nice but other staff seemed to care less. never offered compensation cuz it's like secrete stealing to them I guess but my husband is the greatest and he did everything he could to make me happy. I am a lucky human!

Mixed reviews about this hotel. We ended up staying here for one night because our flight had gotten cancelled so we had to rebook for the following day. Our room was clean, but the hallways smelled terrible! It smelled like wet, moldy, mildew carpet. I had to hold my breath! The staff was ok, they didn't seem indifferent from what the others posts are saying. The pool however is EXTREMELY outdated! It's needs a renovation (cleaning at least) ASAP. The chairs, pool, honestly everything was dirty. I didn't even want to sit down.

Clean rooms, excellent location, less then stellar front desk staff. We enjoyed a trip to Fort Lauderdale for five days in December 2023. Hotel is walking distance to several restaurants, shopping, and across the street from the beach. Prime location! A big factor for booking this hotel however was the hot tub. This could at best be called a cold tub or maybe luke warm tub. Our entire stay it was never warm and made sense why no one was ever in it. When we would inquire about the cold temperature of the hot tub, the front desk staff would let us know they have to keep it at this temperature or they would ask the engineering department to look at it. That's ok, no "hot" tub for five days while we were there. The hotel also had a fire alarm go off during our stay. We used the stairs to exit the building, as the automatic announcements were telling us to do. The valet drivers and front desk had no idea the alarm was sounding (very LOUD and clear on the floors) and management didn't know what the right hand was doing compared to the left hand. That's ok, left and went for breakfast somewhere. Last day we requested a late check out, and if we did not want to pay $150 we were given 30-minutes. To check out at 11:30am on a Monday. All to say, a little grace, kindness, and a smile can go a long way. We understand hard work and staffing issues. But what can be commended at this hotel are the housekeeping staff. They were all so kind, helpful, hospitable, and caring! Our rooms were immaculate each day with fresh towels, waters, linen, coffees. Thank you to the housekeeping staff!! You are such assets to the Atlanta Hotel and Spa!

The Atlantic Hotel & Spa was disgusting. When we arrived the front desk staff appeared to be annoyed with the guests that were complaining about the cleanliness of their rooms. In hindsight that was a red flag. Once we reached the front desk, we didn't feel welcomed. We were hit with a $45 valet parking fee, $45 daily resort fee, & a $200 incidental fee which later turned into a $600 incidental charge. They said they didn't know why I was charged $600 but I "should" get it back. The 1st room had an overwhelming scent of Ammonia. It was as if the scent was covering pet odor or as if someone had been seriously ill. The air made it hard to breathe. We immediately had a headache and were concerned with what odor these products were attempting to mask. When we moved to our 2nd room, we noticed it was dirty. We found hair on the phone and towels. When we requested cleaning service the front desk said we had to wait until the next day. When they finally cleaned, they left garbage, they made the bed halfway, and the hair remained. To make matters worse, when we returned from dinner, we turned on the lights and roaches scattered everywhere. They were on all the surfaces and walls. When I reported this to the front desk, they didn't seem surprised or if they cared. They offered another room but said "they doubt the next room will be any better". When we asked to speak to the manager, they said no manager was in and they didn't share contact information or simply answer when the manager will be in to address our concerns. Clearly, they know about this issue and they're mishandling this situation. They didn't accommodate our experience and still haven't responded to us after numerous attempts. The resort fees are incredibly high and out of date for the cost. The $30 charge for umbrellas were a surprise - had we known the lack of amenities at such a high cost we would've stayed elsewhere. The pool and the sky lounge were abandoned and poorly kept. Overall, we paid a large bill for a disgusting, unsanitary, rude, and frustrating experience. I strongly recommend you check other properties for your stay.

Just 2 big issues prevented me from easily giving 5 stars. 1. What kind of "hotel and spa," especially a 4-star AAA Diamond property rating on Ft. Lauderdale Beach with a beautiful view, tells housekeeping to knock on doors at 8:33am telling guests they need to get out by 11am? The knock woke up myself my kid and wife. I barely opened the door to see a housekeeping woman proclaim "we are just reminding you that you need to be out of this room by 11am." I shut the door and tried to get a bit more sleep. At 1030am another knock from the same housekeeper again saying I need to be out of the room by 11am. This time she could see I was agitated and she said "I'm just doing my job." This isn't a Motel 6 or Super 8 along the interstate. But the housekeeper seemed to be comfortable treating us like we need to hurry up and get out at 8:33 in the morning. We checked out at 10:55am no thanks to being woken up when trying to sleep. Most check-out times are 11am. 2. I had pricing concerns about this reservation. Due to a pricing error, I was told I needed to speak with the hotel manager Aaron Osborne. Several calls went unanswered. I wrote 2 letters to Mr. Osborne, without any response. The issue was resolved prior to check-in, but what kind of manager does not reply to multiple voice mail or especially a postal letters with my phone and address? The Good: The hotel? It was great! It's old but kept up quite nice. We had an ocean view studio (cook top dishwasher etc) and the bathroom was clean, fabulous, and very large. Our balcony looked directly over the street and beach where you can get free beach towels, umbrellas and chairs. There are several great places to eat within walking distance including a 24-hour cash only pizza joint. Checking in was pleasant. A reminder...once in the elevator, you need to scan your card before it moves. It's too bad a "I'm just doing my job" housekeeper and a unresponsive hotel manager turn 5 stars into 1.

This is one of the worst hotels I ever stayed at. I can't believe how bad the service was. It all started with the unbelievable check-in process. We arrived at the hotel in an Uber at 10:30 am. The two bell hop guys sat on their phones and watched us carry our luggage into the hotel. The staff at the front desk must hate their jobs. They are the most unfriendly front desk staff I have ever encountered. Understandably, at 10:30am our room was not ready. We were told for a $50 fee; they would speak with housekeeping and get our room ready "a little earlier". We declined. We chose to walk around town and then later on, sit by the pool. They finally called at 5:30pm telling us the room was ready. We sat by the pool every day. The pool has about 45 chairs for guests. Unfortunately, they only have about 50 pool towels. Each day they were out of towels early in the day. They seemed to only restock the towels 5 at a time. Most of the umbrellas were also broken. The one bright spot was the bartender at Sky bar that was pool side. He was the only friendly staff member at the hotel. The one thing I found disgusting was the amount of bird crap around the pool and on every balcony. The number of pigeons flying around and sitting on just about every ledge of the hotel was incredible. At check out, every couple in our group had a discrepancy with the bill. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

They made me select a star, so I had to choose one I wanted to put zero. I couldn't get the hot water to work in the bathtub without running the shower on for hot (the front desk recommended this). Ok. Did that. Problem 2 the drain in the bathtub isn't caulked in so you have to hold a wash cloth with your foot over the drain while continuously running a semi hot water as it is draining out. Once you do all this come to find out problem 3 ALL I mean ALL OF THE SOAP is mounted and can not be removed. So I had to fill up a glass glass walk across the slippery floor and start the process all over again. All I was trying to do was sit down and shave my legs. I have a torn ACL so I can't do the flamingo one leg stand to shave in the shower. If you try to sit in the shower it hits you straight in the head blinding you. Razors and blind aren't a great match. It's Florida on the beach. It's normal to shave your legs!!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The first night I stayed in a beautiful suite, however, I soon discovered many problems. First, the TV did not work...then the toilet did not flush, then the AC mechanism (as told to me by the maintenance staff) was so noisy I didn't sleep all night (I called the front desk and they tried to get someone to come to my room, but no one showed up)The next morning I went to a new room. This was TERRIBLE!!! Again, the TV didn't work but the worst.....I was brushing my teeth and, all of a sudden a COCKROACH ran across the sink!!! Then 2 more....I looked on the floor and saw even more. Of course, I called the front desk (again) and they sent someone to my room. He really didn't know what to do (poor guy is expected to defend the hotel, but...)I packed up, went to the front desk to check out and said I wanted a complete refund...they said I could only get the resort fees because I booked through a 3rd party. I explained that the 3rd party is not responsible for keeping the hotel safe and sanitary. I refused to leave. The lady at the front desk kept going back and forth to the manager's (Andrew's) office. I told them I wanted to speak to him...he never showed up. What a coward...he left it up to the poor folks that work at the front desk!I finally received my refund. Please do yourself a favor and stay and another of the wonderful hotels on Ft Lauderdale Beach Blvd!On another note, I enjoy working out when I travel....the equipment is so bad and unsafe!!

Do not stay here!!! My first beautiful suite was a disappointment...it was so noisy because of AC equipment, a toilet that didn't flush and a TV that did not work. I changed rooms..when I brushed my teeth a COCKROACH went scurrying by on the counter...then another one. I also saw one on the floor (I have photos). Also, the TV didn't work in this room either. Of course, I packed up immediately, went to the front desk to ask for a complete refund. They explained to me they could not refund me because I booked through a 3rd party (Booking.com). I explained to them that it is up to the hotel to ensure a sanitary and safe environment. The woman at the front desk went back and forth discussing this issue with the manager. I waited almost an hour because I really wanted to have a discussion with the manager, Andrew. He never showed up...just left it up to the front desk staff...what a coward!! I finally got my refund. This whole experience was disgusting! As another note, I like working out when I travel...the gym is in terrible shape...rusty and broken equipment.

I was supposed to check in Sept 10 at 4pm. I wasn't able to check in until 5pm.The room looked clean. When I went to sleep around 1am I was interrupted by bed bugs that forced us to check out by 5am Sept 11.The only compensation the supervisor offered was to waive a resort fee that was already going to be waived.Terrible customer service.

This hotel is nothing but the best. NaKita assisted me personally with booking my family trip with great customer service. Once I arrived checking in was smooth and all staff were helpful. My entire stay was nothing but amazing. Meeting NaKita she was just as sweet in person when a stranger called her name to greet and personally thank her. As a business owner it’s hard to find good people and help. This hotel has it all. Great friendly staff, CLEAN NICE ROOMS, great food, great drinks, and great music. The perfect setup. 10 out 10.

I am completely baffled by the good reviews of this hotel. I wanted so bad to like it but honestly it’s terrible. Let’s start with check in. We got there at 11am I understand most hotels will not check you in that early which is fine. My husband asked if it was ready a little before 3pm. We were told no couldn’t get the room until 4. Then at 3:50 I went to ask If I could get the check in started and was told oh I’m so sorry you definitely could have got your room earlier, I don’t know why you were told that. Once we get to the room it was good at first glance a little dated but had awesome ocean view. This room was actually not so great. Doorknobs coming off, something was wrong with the lights in the bathrooms everyday it would get dimmer and dimmer until we could barely see, shower didn’t turn off, called maintenance he said you gotta find the sweet spot or the water will keep pouring out. Second day we leave for several hours come back to find our room had been left open by housekeeping. I was so upset but luckily we left nothing of value inside. The bars and restaurants charge automatic 18% but the servers don’t tell you so our server received a$30 tip on a $60 check. Upon check out I asked for a receipt which I knew was incorrect. I told them someone did a room charge on my room for almost $60. They told me it was for breakfast. My family only ate in the restaurant twice and none of which was for breakfast. They did remove it but is ridiculous to me they do not ask for ID when someone wants to charge to the room. They also only had one elevator working the four nights we were there, it was very inconvenient waiting every time we needed to leave the room. Overall I wish I had stayed somewhere different. I am not satisfied with my stay and would not recommend.
