“I made reservations in advance for Valentine’s Day at Ember and I’m so glad I did! It was our first time visiting and our waitress Miranda was nothing short of spectacular! She made sure to give us “crash courses” on each meat that we cooked! The environment was welcoming and everyone was super friendly and helpful guiding us along as we cooked. The food is amazing, the steak melts in your mouth. The “peanut” sauce was also delicious. I would highly recommend Ember to anyone I know, you can’t beat the experience. A savory crispy-edged turmeric pancake stuffed with bean sprouts, shrimp and pork, alongside carrot, daikon, fresh romaine for wrapping, and a mountain of Perilla, basil, and mint leaves.. Only $10.99, and came with 'sincere' friendly service.. The waitress even asked if the music was too loud for mom! No credit card surcharges.. No sharing charges... My jaw dropped looking at what everyone else was eating... It was like a fine art exhibit......”

“My husband and I came in for a fresh seafood dinner and this restaurant did not disappoint. Our waiter, Justin, was incredible from start to finish. His extensive knowledge of the menu offerings coupled with his exuberance had us smiling and laughing like we were speaking with an old friend. We decided to create our own tasting of sorts from the fine selections of fresh seafood. Our meal included the NOLA Oysters which were baked and served with seasoned butter, the crab cake appetizer which was serving of lump crab held together by a crispy sear and no filler, as well as the chilled seafood tower. Every bite from start to finish was delectable. We had crab, lobster, tuna tartar, shrimp and oysters. Each bite was more spectacular than the previous as we sampled each offering. We have already decided the next time we are in town that this restaurant will be a must! 5 Stars out of 5!!”

He was so nice to us, offered samples of different items on the menu that we have never tasted. Food is always spot on and tastes the best every time we go. The staff is exceptional as well as Ben. “I don’t even know where to start—FK Your Diet absolutely blew me away. From the moment we walked in, everything was on point. We were greeted right away, sat down, and had our drinks in literally 30 seconds. That kind of service just sets the tone, and they didn’t miss a beat from there. The menu is one of those where you genuinely don’t know what to choose because everything sounds that good. And somehow, it actually lives up to it. The staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, dialed in, and clearly proud of what they’re doing. The food? Without a doubt the best breakfast I have ever had in my life. I’m a huge foodie, and this is on the same level as Little Birds food truck in Cape Coral—which says a lot. What really stood out though is their mission of helping the community. That’s something you just don’t see enough of anymore, and it makes supporting them even better. And during a packed breakfast rush, the owner Doug still took the time to come out and personally make sure everything was good. That says everything about how they run their place. I’m telling you—if you don’t choose this place for breakfast, you’re cheating yourself. This might honestly be the best breakfast in the world.”

The car in front of me had one small bag of food. I'm sitting in my car complaining to myself in disbelief that it took so long for a small bag. Get to second window and the female employee automatically gave me a serious attitude. I told her that it was a really long wait and she told me that I should go someplace next time. she assumed that I was yelling at her when I was complaining about the really long wait. Last I knew, you parked people if their food is going to take a while. Not back up the drive thru. And you certainly don't tell your loyal customers to go someplace else or treat them like we are an inconvenience. So thank you to the female in the drive thru who was so nasty to a loyal customer.”

“Motor City Coney Island Ft Myers 3-25-25 We had to stop by here on a Tuesday for their special priced Coney Island Hot Dog at $2.99. We arrived there at 11:37 with just a couple tables with customers at them, but the place was not packed. This place was neat and very clean with everything in order. I loved the interior, the little bar area and Patio out front. Let me start by saying my expectations were not set high as I figured I’m going to review a place that just serves hot dogs. Boy was I wrong! This place exceeded all my expectations by a mile and then some. They serve so much more than Hot Dogs; they serve Breakfast all day, they have all kinds of Salads, Wraps, Melts, Pittas, Clubs, Gyros, Burgers, Fish and serve Beer and limited Alcohol. They will even Cater events for you. I ordered the Original Coney which had Chillie, Onion & Mustard. My wife Ordered the Tuna Wrap. Our friend ordered the Chili Cheese Dog which came with Chili and Cheese Sauce. We all ordered a side of Fries with our main orders. Our food came out a short time later and it looked amazing. I could not believe how good our food was. Our Dogs were piled high with toppings. This was by far the best Hot dog I had in this area. My wife’s Tuna wrap was very good and so big she could not eat the entire wrap. Our friend loved his Chili Cheese dog. All our food was hot and plenty of it even the Fries were good. Our waiter Freddy was spot on with checking on us. We even met one of the owners Armando which took the time out to introduce himself. You must put this place on your Must Stop By List you will not be sorry and certainly stop back just like we are going to do. Let me slow down for a second and talk about this guava pastry: it is top-tier. I’ve tried them all over the area, and nobody else does a pastry this buttery, flaky, and jam-packed. It’s the real deal. I usually grab the $8.99 breakfast special with a cafe con leche, but you HAVE to add the pastry on the side. The husband and wife who run it provide that warm hospitality that makes you want to come back every morning.”

I used to live in Fort Myers for 6 years, and living downtown meant this place was a regular stop for me. It’s connected to Cigar Bar Live, so you’ve got live bands and a great bar scene right next door, which makes the whole setup really fun.
What really makes it stand out is the vibe—dim lighting, cozy chairs and couches, and a relaxed atmosphere that feels welcoming every time you walk in. They also have a humidor on-site with cigars, and you can actually smoke inside, which adds to the classic cigar lounge feel.
Courtni is honestly one of the best bartenders in downtown Fort Myers. She’s knowledgeable, kind, and has that down-to-earth Southern charm that makes everyone feel like family. You can tell she has a ton of regulars for a reason.

“All I can say is… Wow. In our three winters in Florida, we had not experienced this exquisite place. Tonight was the night we first tried it - I’m kicking myself that it took us so long. The place is one block off of downtown Fort Myers First Street. It consists of two old homes, conjoined, with a valet parking lot. Though we consulted the menu before heading there, we were woefully ill prepared by the enormous wine list and their multiple specials for the evening. Starting at the bar with a pre-dinner drink, we were met by a lovely young lady who gave us the history of the place. Drinking our drinks, she was a delight to speak with. As it was midweek and preseason, we were able to get a table quite easily. Reservations are highly recommended though! Robert was our waiter, and he was an absolute gem. Gave us the rundown of his favorites on the menu upon our request, and gave us ample time to review the menu. We opted for two different steak entrées, and had the table side spinach/hot bacon salad prepared. First course: bread. Yummy rye with cornbread muffins…. They got our taste buds roaring. Next was the tableside salad. Brought out on a wheeled cart with a small gas stove, Robert created a complete masterpiece for us in front of our very eyes. Highly highly highly recommend the spinach/hot bacon dressing salad for 2. Finally, our entrées. Husband had the ribeye and I had the tenderloin. Disclaimer: We are Wisconsinites who love our beef, and are not fond of Florida’s grass fed beef. We were told by Robert that the steaks were beyond reproach, and he was absolutely accurate. Perfectly prepared at medium rare, both steaks were some of the best we’ve ever had…. And we are foodies! I requested mine to be rolled in cracked pepper, the chef followed my directive perfectly. The steaks were very ample for the price point, and included a house salad, whipped potatoes, and vegetables. For the quality of the food, this was very reasonably priced in our opinion. After attacking our meal, we decided to check out the dessert menu. Decided to split a Keylime pie piece, and it was completely wonderful. All desserts are homemade in house. Overall impressions: this place is an absolute must do for special occasions. If you love good food and are OK with paying a fair price, this should be a frequent stop. I’m embarrassed that we have not tried it before, we will become regulars after this visit. Staff was wonderful, the atmosphere is gorgeous, the wine list is extensive, the atmosphere is upscale yet not pretentious. They do offer valet parking, and after 5 PM parking on the street is free. “My wife and I went for lunch during the week. The service was quick and attentive. The food was fresh and flavorful. We both took the menu with the salad and steak frites. The salad was very fresh and a good size portion. The NY Strip steak was cooked to perfection. My steak had quite a bit of fat, but no so for my wife. But the flavor was great.

“I can't say enough great things about Mellow Mushroom! This is the best pizza in town! Whenever I go I always start with the pretzel bites! So yummy and addicting. Then depending on what I am in the mood for I get a salad or a pizza. The salads are all delicious but my favorite is the Greek or bacon Blue Wedge. If I do pizza I get either the Buffalo Chicken or Pacific Rim. I love the thick crust and basically all of them. Then if there is room, for dessert, the chocolate brownie or cookie with ice cream! 😋 oh and they have vegan and gluten free items! Can't go wrong here! “This past Saturday, we went to an amazing bar in Downtown Fort Myers called Escondito. It’s this private, hidden bar tucked away behind freezer doors in the back of a little hole‑in‑the‑wall taco shop called Taco Works. You absolutely do not expect to find a fancy bar behind a taco place, but that surprise is part of the fun. We loved it. Jordan is our favorite bartender — he makes every drink with perfection. The whole staff is so nice and professional, the drinks are delicious, and for a short moment you really do feel like you’re part of an elite secret club. Leaving the bar, my husband wanted to try the tacos. Our plan was to order one each, but Joe who took our order had other plans. He was incredibly nice and oddly hilarious. Somehow our order went from two tacos to tacos, burritos, and nachos. While waiting, we talked with Joe about living here for two months and the places we were thinking of trying next. In the funniest way, with a completely serious tone, he shut down every idea we had and offered “better” locations. He suggested a BBQ spot and an Italian/sushi place he’s never been to personally but swears by. We were laughing the whole time, when our food was ready, we met “the Two Roberts,” the man who handed us our order was so sweet with the sweetest smile, you just wanted to give him a hug, They were working hard but still made time sure the customers were treated with politeness and a smile and everything they made was phenomenal the tacos, nachos, and burritos were all amazing, on the way home, my husband suddenly burst out laughing. Something Joe said earlier went over our heads at the time, and it hit him out of nowhere. Later that night, we looked up the BBQ place Joe recommended, and the BBQ place he told us "we had to try" is actually inside another Taco Works. That had us Howling. Almost two days later while I’m exhausted and trying to sleep, I hear my husband getting off the phone laughing again to the point I had to check and turns out the Italian/sushi place Joe “swears by” is also part of Taco Works. Now I’m wide awake laughing too. Since I cant sleep might as well tell our story. Joe absolutely got us, and he deserves this review. Thank you, Taco Works — we will be back!”

I opted out for their $5 blue moon beer and $5 Long Island iced tea specials, pulled pork entree $16.99 w a sidekick of bbq ribs for $9.99. The entree came w 2 sides - I went w cup of chili (delicious ) and a Ceasar salad, which came first as apps. Pulled pork was tender and juicy, ribs were on point and not drenched in sauce so I could still taste the meat. I was full of the apps , so I could only take few bites of my entree, it absolutely went home w me , and I made couple of meals of it. Great experience-I shall return!”
