We arrived there at 11:37 with just a couple tables with customers at them, but the place was not packed. This place was neat and very clean with everything in order. I loved the interior, the little bar area and Patio out front. Let me start by saying my expectations were not set high as I figured I’m going to review a place that just serves hot dogs. Boy was I wrong! This place exceeded all my expectations by a mile and then some. They serve so much more than Hot Dogs; they serve Breakfast all day, they have all kinds of Salads, Wraps, Melts, Pittas, Clubs, Gyros, Burgers, Fish and serve Beer and limited Alcohol. They will even Cater events for you. I ordered the Original Coney which had Chillie, Onion & Mustard. My wife Ordered the Tuna Wrap. Our friend ordered the Chili Cheese Dog which came with Chili and Cheese Sauce. We all ordered a side of Fries with our main orders. Our food came out a short time later and it looked amazing. I could not believe how good our food was. Our Dogs were piled high with toppings. This was by far the best Hot dog I had in this area. My wife’s Tuna wrap was very good and so big she could not eat the entire wrap. Our friend loved his Chili Cheese dog. All our food was hot and plenty of it even the Fries were good. Our waiter Freddy was spot on with checking on us. We even met one of the owners Armando which took the time out to introduce himself. You must put this place on your Must Stop By List you will not be sorry and certainly stop back just like we are going to do. A savory crispy-edged turmeric pancake stuffed with bean sprouts, shrimp and pork, alongside carrot, daikon, fresh romaine for wrapping, and a mountain of Perilla, basil, and mint leaves.. Only $10.99, and came with 'sincere' friendly service.. The waitress even asked if the music was too loud for mom! No credit card surcharges.. No sharing charges... My jaw dropped looking at what everyone else was eating... It was like a fine art exhibit......”

“I have tried many Ft. Myers Pizza Shops and have not found one that makes a pizza close to New York Style Pizza. Today I was in the McGeegor Pizza & Deli area and thought I would try it. Surprisingly the pizza was amazing, the crust was well done, the sauce was tasty and the mozzarella was enough to make the pizza tasty and delicious. Get to second window and the female employee automatically gave me a serious attitude. I told her that it was a really long wait and she told me that I should go someplace next time. she assumed that I was yelling at her when I was complaining about the really long wait. Last I knew, you parked people if their food is going to take a while. Not back up the drive thru. And you certainly don't tell your loyal customers to go someplace else or treat them like we are an inconvenience. So thank you to the female in the drive thru who was so nasty to a loyal customer.”

From the moment I pulled up, she greeted me with a friendly, upbeat tone that made my whole day better. She was super fast, clear, and professional with the order—no mistakes, no confusion, just smooth and efficient service.
When I got to the window, she was just as friendly in person, smiling, polite, and making sure everything was right before I drove off. Even though the place is small it’s clean and neat with trains running overhead of you. The walls are lines with hats from businesses all over this area. They have such a large selection and it’s all in the case right in front of you so you can see what you’re going to order. You stand in front of the ice cream cases to order. Lots of times there are lines, but they move fast. They have just about anything you want from 1, 2 or 3 scoops cones to banana splits. They have regular, waffle, to sprinkle cones and bowls. You name it when it comes to ice cream, they have it. I have always liked Daddy Dees ice cream. It’s not soft, it’s a hard ice cream with lots of flavor. Was told they were accepting walk-ins, call on our way and they'd put us on the list. Was able to get seated right away, party of 2! I had the turkey dinner and my beau had ham dinner... delicious, just like home. Our server (Cody?) was lovely and the owner took the time to check on us. It's no wonder Mel's has great reviews. The problem was that for the hour before seating and after being seated no one from the restaurant mentioned to us that the A/C was not working! Our server confirmed and even told us to use the menu insert as a fan. Needless to say we felt deceived and made it a night to remember, for the wrong reason.”

“I would recommend getting the potstickers and the sliders if you go here. The food is pretty good, but it was disappointing that mix and match aren’t allowed for tacos and sliders. The service was fine, but a little bit slow. The outdoor seating is nice, but the tables are very wobbly.”

The store of interesting goods is back. Was just like the old days we used to stop along the highway while traveling as a family. “Love this place! Feels like it’s a hidden gem. It’s a part of the Luminary hotel and one of few sports bars downtown. They have great deals and if you are into golf/soccer/hockey/football they have a simulator. There is something for everyone here! Alyssa is my absolute favorite employee not just at Chips but the Luminary as a whole. She always remembers me and provides consistent top notch service. Brittany is awesome too.
