I was visiting this location on a business trip for work. Cat was my server and the manager in charge from what it seemed. She was battling a call out and she did what she could. I can tell she wasn't happy but she still gave great service. They were out of baby backs so I had to get the pulled pork instead which was great! This is the first time they told me it would be an hour wait for ribs so I just switched it up. Good experience overall.
I grew up in Gainesville 5 miles from the first Sonny’s Barbecue. Sonny Tillman created a wonderful establishment unfortunately Sonny’s has lost there touch. They have cutback on the chunks of meat in their beans they dropped the salad bar during Covid and have decided not to bring it back . Huge mistake the chicken and dumplings the chili and the options on the salad bar where a huge draw . I’m sure they have seen a big drop in business since removing the salad bar. Exceptional Waitress! On President’s weekend we came for dinner. Greeted by Ashley Rose who couldn’t be more pleasant. Upon discovering the restaurant was out of beef brisket and Turkey, both of which we wanted, Ashley went above and beyond to cover for the restaurants shortage of menu items. She was so attentive and apologetic! She did an exceptional job making our dinner a great success! Please reward her, more places need an Ashley Rose!!
