First time visiting Sugar and Spice Soul Food Restaurant on Okeechobee Road in Fort Pierce Florida and the Oxtail was savory and tender and the collard greens spoke for themselves and the candy yams were spot on and the yellow rice were cooked to perfection everything was served hot and seasoned perfectly and to top it off a coconut cut fresh to set my mouth to ? I highly recommend this business establishment.Vegetarian options: Veggies

Always on the lookout for amazing soul food and Sugar and Spice did not disappoint! The restaurant was very clean and we were treated warmly by the staff, especially our server, Summer, who was sweet, efficient, and wonderful. There are signs on the tables letting you know that the food is scratch-made and may take 15-20 minutes. Ours came out even faster.Flavor, portion sizes, and value were all top-notch. I had the meatloaf, collards, and corn nuggets (skipped the rice that comes with every entree). He had the oxtails, yellow rice, potato salad, and green beans. Absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and so much food. Forgot to get photos - that's how amazing it was!10/10! Give them a try and you won't be disappointed ?

3 years ago, I ate here on my way to Miami. I love it so much that i came back through and bought 2 plates to take home. I went back to Dothan, AL. and bragged for 3 years. Well 3 years later i got a chance to come back and once again yall didn't disappoint. I bought 3 plates today and enjoyed every bite.

I would've included a picture but that food wasn't going to last that long. Summer was my server and I followed her recommendations for sides. This might be the best oxtail I've had in a decade. This will be my go to spot in Fort Pierce moving forward.

The prices published on the menu was not what I was charged. When questioned why I was being charged more, the employee shared " they don't go by that ". Really??

We visited on a late Sunday afternoon after reading reviews about the food. This was not just a wonderful meal, it was a soul food experience. The service, the music, the vibe was perfect. We tried as much from the menu as we could eat. The conch salad was fresh, tender conch with crunchy vegetables and delicious citrus juice. The lemon pepper and hot wings were crispy and very tender inside. The oxtail came in a bowl of heavenly dark sauce and was falling off the bones. The meat loaf was a thick slice of deliciousness with a tasty gravy. The sides: mac & cheese, perfectly fried okra, collards, sweet yams-so good! GO GO GO!!! They love having you there! The 15 min wait for food was well worth it!

Always on the look out for soul food, coming home we were passing through Fort Pierce and decided to try Sugar and Spice. It did not disappoint, arriving on a Sunday at 1200 pm, we did think it would be super busy, but it was not, and we were glad because after we sat down, there was a steady flow of take out and tables were filling up quickly. Right away you are met with a welcome sign on your table letting you know that most menu items are made to order and there will be a wait. Celebrity our server, came over quickly, there was only her and another server and I have to stay they handled the steady flow of customers expertly. We started out with a ten piece wing, 5 lemon pepper and 5 mild Buffalo, for me these wings were fried perfectly crispy, but were still moist, they are a 10. Personally, I'm a lemon pepper girl, and the wings could of used just a bit more of that seasoning, but still a ten. All the sides we ordered were seasoned and portioned well. Oxtail fell off the bone, fried pork chops seasoned and crispy. Smothered wings with a deep cooked flavor, though my husband did feel the sauce could be thicker. This place is just a really good place to get a delicious plate of food. It'll be worth the hour drive back.
