We have been purchasing Strongtree at Ward's for years. The quality is fantastic, and it's ethically and sustainably sourced. In light of the pandemic, we've been ordering 5 lb. bags of beans directly from Nora and Chris. The experience has been outstanding. We've received shipments across town in as little as a day, and they always include a sample bag of a different blend. We were hooked on the Guatemala Two Birds blend, but after receiving a sample of the Rwanda Bourbon blend we had to order a bag of it. I also highly recommend the Honduras blend, but really, I don't think you can go wrong here. These two clearly have a taste for the best coffee beans available.

I began buying Coffees roasted by Chris at Strongtree Roasters in when I had a coffee stand in 2005. I have used their artisan micro-roasted Organic Fair Trade beans exclusively as I expanded to a brick and mortar location. I have never served any other coffees. Chris not only is a master-skilled roaster, but has a trained palate and travels regularly to inspect the conditions that the beans derive from. His judgement on where to obtain the best Fair Trade beans in a competitive environment is unquestionable, never sacrificing quality. The custom blends and single origin coffees from this roaster are far better than any others I have experienced.
