“We stopped by Saturday night and it was very busy. Santiago the owner , came over and said hello. We had met briefly last year and spoke about the Boston area. The host managed to find a table for us. Upon sitting we were greeted by 3 or 4 servers. I had the whole red snapper which was excellent. My wife’s best friend recommended this place and we are so happy we listened to her. The mofongo was great and the grilled chicken was flavorful and juicy. “Amazing Latin/Mexican food! We started w the guac which is fresh made at the table. Then we had some entrees and a couple drinks. The jalapeño margarita and blackberry mojito were delicious. “We came here for brunch on Sunday and sat with Maria Fernanda. She was very sweet, gave us suggestions for drinks, appetizers and main courses. Everything was tasty and seasoned well. We started off with fresh Lulo juice. I think they should be more specific letting people know it is fresh! Super yummy. We then ordered Chicken Soup, Truffle Omelette and The Luka Rancheros which were all delicious. We are happy to have Luka here in Plantation! She took our experience to the next level with her recommendations, lovely personality, service and professionalism. “We came to south Florida for family spring break. I have fond memories of empanadas and wanted my kids to experience them. Looked for a place with good reviews and ended here. They had a 4.9 at the time, and that was underrated. The flavors were sharp, crisp, juicy, and experimental as well as traditional. All were great and the shell seemed to magically not get soggy despite juicy fillings.The owner kept us entertained while we ate with flavor explanations, recipes for sauces and tales of the area. I intended to watch him attempt to eat it, but after my first bite, all my attention was on my own meal. Generous portions and Igor was the sweetest host. I would 100% eat there again-and will, when we visit Miami Beach again. My only concern is that the restaurant is a bit hard to find. “I found this hidden gem last week and today is my 3rd time coming. In addition to the mangu being AMAZING the young lady that works the front is EXTREMELY pleasant. She is patient and and kind and makes sure that you have everything you want and need on your order. I’ve come in the morning and late in the afternoon and she is always smiling. Meanwhile, the TVs were never turned on. Not a big deal, in fact... might even be cool to have a place with no TVs, where people are forced to interact with one another. But I digress, if you choose to have televisions in your establishment, keep them on; there's a lot you can do with them, not just have it on TV programming. I was told that the only way the offered pre fixe was by the table and all had to order so I went back to the menu. Ordered the same items as the pre fixe but now a higher price. Chiccarron appetizer was good but some pieces were fried too hard and near impossible to chew. Great flavor and dipping sauce though. The Lechon Asado was my main entree and it was good. Portion size was tasty but small but rice and beans filled up the plate. The Spanish Flan for dessert stole the show. Best I have ever had. Our host was great and our server excellent and attentive.
