“First time here so we ordered a little bit of everything . HANDS DOWN BEST GRITS I’ve ever had . Waffle hot and sweet and fluffy. Eggs were cooked perfect. Sausage a little too spicy (but would’ve been great later with peppers and onions on a hoagie roll!) and the potatoes - lord the potatoes! Perfect little off the beaten path spot. Did I mention the grits ???? Perfection !“

“Flavorz is a great takeout option. The food is delicious and well seasoned. I had the combo shrimp and rich behavior wings. The rich behavior wings are lemon pepper on steroids. The shrimp were jumbo shrimp so well worth the upcharge. Tuna macaroni salad was on good but nothing extraordinary. The yams were good , it was well seasoned with cinnamon. You can uber eats or call in. I did check the uber eats menu first and not all the items were on the app. I ended up calling in and the wait would be 25 min. I highly suggest you call in your order. Food was already ready when I arrived. Customer service is A++“

We had the smoked Barbecue Chicken mac n cheese and the jerk chicken mac n cheese. We also ordered the lemon garlic Broccoli... it wasn't the best. It definitely could have used more seasoning. “Our Papa’s Kitchen did two things so RIGHT that I didn’t realize it was missing from so many other places until I came here. I was never too big on lemon pepper seasoning, I usually prefer other spices on my chicken wings. But when my niece offered me to try hers, I was blown away! Delicious! (That’s the first thing) I went right over there! Then, as I picked up my food and was leaving, not only did the cashier thank me with genuine gratitude (so much that I turned to look at her and smile) BUT then I heard a “Thank You!” shouted from back in the kitchen. Wow! These people don’t even know me; they must really appreciate their customers. So unexpected, yet so impressive! Great food and great customer service don’t seem to show up at the same time these days. But that day, in that place, that’s what I got! So worth it!!“
“A good spot for a delicious, no frills meal. I stopped in for Sunday brekkie around 9am. This place was busy and only kept getting busier. Dine in and take out orders were coming in left & right. This business is really supported by the local community. So much so that while you're trying to place your order, someone will come in and start up a conversation with the person taking your order, thus making the ordering process a bit longer than it should be. If you dine in, there are a couple dark tables and some gospel music playing. The food is cooked to order, and it's worth the wait. The prices aren't too bad, either. The bathroom was dark, but clean, and served it's purpose. I will for sure be back for those fried pork chops and grits. Yummmmm!“
“Ordered the Boulette, Legume, Accra with white rice and sous pwa. This was some of the most delicious Haitian food I've eaten. The food was fresh and piping hot and moderately seasoned so it was tasty but not overly seasoned and the perfect amount of salt. I'll definitely be back“

“Some days y'all do amazing some days it's just good. Sometimes the grits are served preseasoned and are the best I've had but other days they're plain grits, I get that's what the salt n pepper is for but it's not the same. The brown gravy also varies it's nice but some times the cook kills and it's thicker and richer. I love y'all's food but if we can have it be more consistently delicious would be great, also been waiting on the chopped steak patties to come back cause the smothered pork chops came out thin as a plate today and I'm still hungry.“
“This is soul food at its best! Was recommended this place by several people that go to MDC North which is nearby, and couldn’t have been more pleased with the food. The ribs are truly special, I ordered mine with the sauce on them but you’re give the choice and they can serve it on a container on the side. There are other protein choices, and you have to choose one rice option and 2 sides (I got corn and baked beans) they also provide a slice of corn bread- everything was very tasty. It is worth mentioning that there are no tables to eat on site, but the staff pack and prepare the food to go and provide cutlery and napkins. Also at least when I went it was cash only - but the prices are more than reasonable. The staff is very attentive as well. Will absolutely return, this is a true find“

“So I am Long overdue for a review as I did not know it was a Yelp. But here it is this place is 5/5 and I have eaten both breakfast and now dinner. Breakfast is simply delicious and wait time id not long. Salmon croquette, grits and flops are top tier. Below in the picture I place different dinner items below. There is the fried conch which was cooked to perfection , Mac & cheese someone grandma back there, grilled shrimp, yellow rice and those string beans are literally awesome and slow cooked made with love. Every time I'm on that side of town I stop by. Also breakfast sold all day.“

“i visited king cafe today 10/8/12. Its under new ownership. I had the fricase de pollo and maduros. I found it quaint with down home style cooking. Very tasty. Just like mom or grandma used to make. Large portions. Small price tag. Friendly family service. I would go again. If you like simple atmosphere and good home cooking then this is the place to eat.“
