“A little spot that makes an effort with good food, colorful decor and friendly service! There is indoor and outdoor seating; also a fairly large parking lot and street parking. We ate at a quiet time of the afternoon and had the place to ourselves. We ordered two fresh juices (guanabana and passionfruit) that were tasty, huge and cheap ($2.50!). We ordered picadillo that was simple but very tasty (with whole green olives—yumm!), and a grilled chicken plate. The chicken had a delicious marinade. We shared sides of tostones, platanos maduros, and black beans— all were delicious. Our server, Aris, was super sweet and patient with us excitable Cuban-food-loving Northerners—thank you, Aris! The interior was basic but clean, as was the restroom. Definitely worth a visit for some hearty home-style Cuban fare next time you’re in the area. We were out of luck with guava pastries by that time of the day, sadly—go earlier if you want one, or three. ?“
“The colada coffee is just about the greatest caffeinated beverage we've ever had. The breakfast was big, filling, and tasty. We had a guava pastry and the bacon and egg breakfast combo. This place was clearly full of regulars who have a system in this fast-paced environment. I appreciated that the staff took the time to walk us through a bit.“
“if you're looking for authentic Cuban old country food, generous portions, reasonable prices this is the spot. The best tamal en cazuela in Miami, I've had others, and this one by far is better tasting more of shucked corn than others, with big chunks of succulent, pork, their croquettes are handmade/home taste. this restaurant by far exceeds all my Cuban cuisine expectations and now I must tell you about the torrejas, you have never tasted anything like it and never will, I promise, you you will come back for more!, 100% recommended.“
“Cuban style cooking. Honestly the best value we've had on our trip down here. We had four meals (three different plates) for dinner, all of which were delicious. Each main course comes with two side dishes which were huge and very tasty. We have food for tomorrow morning. Under $70 including tax but excluding tip. Cuban coffee was tasty also. Service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this.“
“The food is excellent. I'm visiting from out-of-state so it's obvious I'm not from around here. We got a couple side stares but it wasn't anything too bad. I came for lunch and had croquetas and a cubano. It was so good we came back for round two in the evening. The second time I didn't feel as welcomed. The lady working there were giving us some attitude and the other customers were giving me death glares. They're lucky the food is so good and I'll be coming back next time regardless of the atmosphere. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would.“
“I can tell you that the service there is super good, they give you many options, offers, they treat you super well and everything they sell has good quality and above all they are very punctual with their orders. They all serve the public very well and Mrs. Maria is super attentive. Thank you for existing, I always return there again and again. ?“
