Nice place. Service depends on who's working sometimes it's great sometimes not so much. Food is very good though chicken is often overcooked. Really needs a cosmetic update.

Place is a hole in the wall. Kinda of a dive bar,but food is spectacular! We had the chicken quesadillas, grilled chicken sandwich and mushroom burger. Cooked perfectly as requested. Server, who was also the bartender was super. Give this hidden gem a chance.

Gator Cove is on the property of a Rodeway Inn and the entrance is kind of hidden. Once inside the impression is, it's just a bar.The bartender was friendly and prompt and we placed our order and moved to a patio with a few tables.The patio overlooks a river that is in the Wildlife Preserve we'd just come, so if you visit that Homosassa attraction, the bar is just a couple u-turns north.The bartender was prompt with our appetizers. The gator nuggets were good and the fried mushrooms were ok.Seems like more of a place for locals who know about it and travelers who don't want to venture from the hotel, but the patio was a fine place for conversation and afternoon sun.

I stopped for lunch and tried the cheeseburger and fries.?The burger was properly cooked to my preference of medium rare. The beef was flavorful. The toppings and bun were fresh and tasty. The burger was a handful of messy deliciousness. The fries were good as well.We dined outside and enjoyed the view of the canal. The road noise was a little distracting at times.↪️ The barkeep was friendly.?↪️ The menu has plenty of options, and prices are reasonable.↪️ Outside seating is dog friendly ?

The deep fried Reuben was sooo dang good! Light and fluffy on the outside, hot, tasty cheesy deliciousness on the inside. Plus it didn't fall apart!!! The potatoes skins were made with fresh baked potatoes and were yummy. Definitely a hidden gem. Kudos to the woman who came up with the deep fried Reuben (sorry, didn't get her name) and the regular who showed us the ropes. Will go back if in the area again. Oohhhhh, the prices were shockingly low! Small place but oh so worth it!!!!
