Gator Cove is on the property of a Rodeway Inn and the entrance is kind of hidden. Once inside the impression is, it's just a bar.The bartender was friendly and prompt and we placed our order and moved to a patio with a few tables.The patio overlooks a river that is in the Wildlife Preserve we'd just come, so if you visit that Homosassa attraction, the bar is just a couple u-turns north.The bartender was prompt with our appetizers. I stopped for lunch and tried the cheeseburger and fries.?The burger was properly cooked to my preference of medium rare. The beef was flavorful. The toppings and bun were fresh and tasty. The burger was a handful of messy deliciousness. The fries were good as well.We dined outside and enjoyed the view of the canal. Place is a hole in the wall. Kinda of a dive bar,but food is spectacular! We had the chicken quesadillas, grilled chicken sandwich and mushroom burger. Cooked perfectly as requested. Server, who was also the bartender was super. Give this hidden gem a chance.
