“we ordered the brussel sprout appetizer, a regular buffalo chicken pizza, a regular farmers market (their version of veggie pizza) added red sauce instead of olive oil, and a gluten free funghi pizza. i thoroughly enjoyed the brussel sprouts appetizer which came with mushrooms and the sweetest baby roasted tomatoes, though i do wish there was a bit more salt and bit more of the glaze. we didn’t love the farmers market pizza - the tomato sauce was overpowering but that was no fault to the resteraunt as we added it in. we loved the buffalo chicken pizza and the gluten free fungus pizza. though the gluten free pizza was a bit of a steep up charge (+$4) but it was crispy and delicious. would recommend for gluten free pizza.“

“This past weekend shaka hosted my baby shower outside on their gorgeous patio and it couldn't have turned out more perfect! They brought in someone to work the bar and helped cater to our every need. There was so much space and the venue was breath taking! Kenyon Deal is the guy to see. He made sure we had everthing we needed before all of our guests arrived and numerous guests who attended noted that is was the best baby shower they had ever been to! So greatful for the amazing staff and will be using them again for any future needs! 100 out of 10 would recommend.“

“We heard really good things about this place. It was recommended by friends.Our server was very attentive at all times. A job well done and tipped accordingly.I had some pretty simple fare (shrimp po-boy). It was flavorful, courtesy of the corn tarter sauce they offered. Fries were typical of most places. Interesting to me was that they offered fried green tomatoes as a side dish. I couldn't pass that up as I am a sucker for good fried green tomatoes. They were delicious. Very simple preparation and served with a remoulade. The tomato thickness was perfect for the breading it had.My wife had the shrimp and grits. They looked really good and she did enjoy them.They had other things that looked great on the menu that would be worth trying. All in, we had a great experience in a very nice quaint small town setting.Parking: Free street parking is taken pretty quickly. Paid parking is the way to go. $7/ hr.System uses a QR code to pay and register your vehicle of sorts.“

“Had a great dinner at The Citizen while visiting Alys Beach in January for a business trip. The space and host team were welcoming and we were seated quickly. Our server, Lee, was very friendly, professional, and prompt. Our waters were frequently refilled and all team members were polite and friendly. We tried the east coast oysters, which were very good and well presented. I tried the squid ink bucatini with shrimp, which was good. My colleague tried the curried butternut squash with chicken and she said it was delicious and the chicken was well prepared. I would highly recommend this spot for an excellent meal and experience.“

After a friendly greeting by the staff we ordered coffee and a bagel. Both met expectations. The cafe has a bright cheerful atmosphere. The cafe also has a nice breafkast menu of wraps and sandwiches.“

For drink I got the Root Beer Float, that was good as well. My overall review is great. The fries are extremely good, (my family only got at least 7?). “Family of 5 dropped by about an hour before sunset on a Thursday. No wait and table outside to watch the sun set.Blackened Red Snapper, shrimp basket, mahi mahi basket, quinoa bowl, and shrimp Dos tacos. It all arrived correctly and was delicious. Portions were generous and flavorful.The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. Service was top tier for the area. We will return on the next trip to the area. Only had two drinks. “Great place to get something to eat right in Seaside. They have a variety of things to eat besides pizza (when it's 85 degrees out, we weren't feeling like it) and they have nice drinks and beer. There's a happy hour from 3-5 at least on the weekdays that is pretty good.“

I had an incredible bloody mary, we shared the whipped feta, and I ate a black bean roll up with fries as my meal. I would recommend everything! “We are visiting from Nashville and we always have the best time at the upstairs bar. We remembered Jackson from last year as he has worked his way up from being a barback to a bartender. We found out that not only did he take EXCELLENT care of us the entirety of our time at dinner, he was also technically clocked in as a barback that whole night. Which means he made all our drinks, took our order (while having incredible menu knowledge) AND delivered our food all without actually being a bartender. He said he does it “to ensure exceptional service” which is precisely what you want when running a restaurant of this caliber. He went above and beyond for us and we will most certainly be back for the food- and we will sit wherever Jackson is working. He is 100% the model employee anyone would be happy to have on their team.“

“Everything was excellent, I sat outside so I could smoke while I had my drink waiting for my dinner. I asked the server for an ashtray he said they didn't have any, I said they told me it was okay to smoke out here and he said yeah it is. I said what am I supposed to do with my cigarette back? I'm not going to throw it on the ground for one thing. I don't want it going in the ocean. He said it's okay just throw it down!!! There was no way in the world I would do that. I made him bring me a glass with water in it. There were napkins and straw papers. All kinds of trash just being blown all over the place. This place is on the beach!! That is not right!!!“
