The food and coffee were great. I got the cheese plate, and my husband got the strata du jour. We did make a reservation. We ate here before touring the museum for our 4th year wedding anniversary.

My favorite spot for adult grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque soup. A great cafe inside Cummer Museum. Great outdoor seating with occasional live music. Plus we love our server Nhi who is amazing!

Wonderful lunch dining Al fresco while visiting our favorite local art museum in Jacksonville. The Cummer Café had a great menu with some of the best soup I have had! Bursting with flavor the soup du jour was a vegan curried sweet potato bursting with flavor and yummy chunks of potatoes. Some of the best shrimp and grits in the area and a fantastic mezze platter (marinated olives, whipped feta, hummus, pickled veggies and crispy za a’atar) was enjoyed and the cobb salad did not disappoint. Service was on point and getting to spend a day in the Cummer’s galleries and garden was certainly a treat. Already looking forward to visiting it again!

We didn't get to eat here because of the ridiculously short hours on a weekend day on a holiday weekend. Though we did end up going to a fantastic restaurant in its stead which didn't at first appear promising, the restaurant de Paris also in the Jacksonville area. So thank you Cummer cafe for failing to be open late enough for our initial visit- it set us up to experience culinary greatness by omission.

The food was excellent as was the service. We sat outside in the shade and it was a beautiful day. The ambiance could be a little better outside. Better landscaping and light music might've improved the experience. There were string lights and a fountain though I felt like it should be more impressive given we were at a museum.

We got the shrimp and grits and croissant sandwich! I thought the shrimp and grits were really good, a little spicy from all the old bay seasoning, but overall very good! I didn’t love sitting in the middle of a hallway to dine, but that’s my only complaint. I’m sure we’ll be back in the future!

The staff at the small cafe in the museum is very welcoming and efficient. The menu is limited but quite interesting, and the food is well prepared and tasty.

Food was good. Salmon lacked a tiny bit of flavor. Overall, cool place to hang out for a meal after checking out the artwork. There were some hints of and there were actual European artwork and paintings. Vibe is certainly a bit more modern. Cafe had a short menu, but filling and service is 5 stars. Thanks, Marco!

* Price: $15 for crab cake salad, $15 BLT sandwich, $15 for blacken shrimp plate. Good portion! 4 star. * Ambiance: casual, clean. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor. Off the lobby of Cummer museum with good view of the beautiful courtyard. 4 star. * Location: inside of Cummer museum. Free parking across the street. * Meals: Everything is very fresh and tasty. 4 star. * Service: friendly and fast. 4 star One extra star for 10% off by checking in with Yelp app!!! (Any discount is appreciated in this economy!) We were visiting Cummer museum and decided to have lunch here. The menu is small and simple but very diversed. We ordered Blackened shrimp, BLT sandwich, and salad with add-on crab cake. Everything is about $15. Blackened shrimp: half a dozen of good size shrimp, blackened seasoning, mildly spicy, served over a fresh bed of spinach and corns. The shrimp was cooked well and crunchy. BLT sandwich is a large croissant served with fresh salad. Crab cake with salad: romaine lettuce, strawberry, blue cheese, and a large crab cake. I did not get to try this dish. My sister devoured her food. I only got enough time to snap a photo! It is a pleasant surprise to find this place with very good and fresh food and reasonable prices. I would never know that Jacksonville has such a beautiful museum with yummy food! If you have friends and family from out-of-town, you gotta take them here... will not be disappointed!

The tomato soup and cobb salad are always delicious!I do wish there were rules about kids running around while adults are trying to enjoy the serenity of lunch outside of a museum.

If you decide to waste your money here, make sure to sit outside. Inside has no atmosphere and way too many people walking by because its in a hallway of the museum. Make sure to make a reservation online. If there are big parties, forget having a good service. That's what happened to us. A 10 top and 11 top and all the other tables full and they only had 2 "cooks" in the kitchen. Food was ok. Nothing to rave about. Prices were a little ridiculous but oh well. Lesson learned. Oh and do not order the cheese board. What a waste of money ???
