If you are looking for an out of the way jewel with great service and food.., look no further. About a 50 minute enjoyable drive from Vero Beach. Plenty of opportunities to see Wild Turkey on the stretch along 441 prior to your arrival at the small restaurant in Kenansville. We try to get there a couple times a month for their incredible catfish. They too have a huge “K” Burger that is a specialty. Also great shrimp and gator bites. For desert try their fresh homemade...
Had their Saturday breakfast with the pancakes! The pancakes were delicious and about 3/4 of an inch thick. Two of them together looked like a small layer cake. I never had pancakes like that and they were so good! Everything, the scrambled eggs the bacon were all great. I will look forward to that on Saturdays as my treat to myself.
I drove nearly two hours to pay a visit to Griffis Cafe, primaryily for one purpose, to get a bowl of Swamp Cabbage Soup. I heard that they have this on the dishes that they offer. I had never had it and I love it. I have nothing to compare it to, but their recipe tastes really good.
