“Harriette's Restaurant Bayside, Mile Marker 95.7 Key Largo, FL 33037 4 Stars Stopping for some morning chow at Harriette's Restaurant in Key Largo should be a requirement for everyone traveling down the Overseas Hwy exploring the vast beauty of the Keys. However, once again, my taste buds are ahead of my fingers and I get ahead of myself. As I entered Harriette's Restaurant, I was immediately transported back to my Grandmother's house on the Sebastian River. Not only was the outside reminiscent of a bygone era, the décor ; screamed mid-century time capsule, however, it was the scents assaulting my olfactory orifice that had me looking for my favorite chair at Grandma's table. This may be in the Keys, but I am confident that it ain't no tourist trap. Christina was my server for the meal and was exemplary in every way. She began her service with a sincere, warm Southern greeting, making all her customers feel like family. We are in Grand Ma-Ma's house, after all. I asked my new favorite second cousin twice removed on my mother's brother's babysitter's side for a stack of Pancakes, an order of their Corned Beef Hash, two eggs over medium, Sausage Biscuit, hash browns, and one more biscuit as they looked so good. While I didn't try one, If you take a peek at the pics, you can see that they have quite a panoply of muffins and are well known for them. Christina soon returned with our Southern viands, and I eagerly got to work. Have I mentioned the aromas disseminating about the place? I slapped some butter on the stack of fresh-off-the-griddle Johnny Cakes, poured some real maple syrup over the top and plopped a forkful in my mouth. The cakes were warm, fluffy and delicious. Nothing beats a flapjack right off the griddle with real maple syrup. Nothing. However, I wasn't here to enjoy sampling their delectable delights; I was on a mission to bring you raw, unadulterated food reviews. To that end, I turned my fastidious palate to the Corned Beef Hash before me. This was quite good. I don't think it was made in the back, as the cut was too uniform for most line cooks. If it was food service Hash, at least it wasn't bottom-of-the-truck stuff. It was flavorful and cooked to perfection. My eggs were cooked correctly, the hash browns were obviously made fresh to order and the sausage gravy was spot on. Finally, the biscuit was not only gigantic; it was obviously made with love and pure devotion to the obvious -- care. Is this place going to win a James Beard award? No. Is it my new favorite place for breakfast in the Keys? Maybe. I know one thing for sure: Harriette's Restaurant is an excellent breakfast for a splurge vacation to the Florida Archipelago. The Big Boy says, “Enjoy the homemade grub and if you try a muffin, please let me know!””

“This place is phenomenal when it comes to quality and taste. The portion sizes are beyond reasonable for the price you pay. The cubano is a staple and the chicken burrito def didn't disappoint. The ahi tuna appetizer with the orange sauce was fantastic. Really fresh and delightful. The staff was so attentive and frequently checked on the table. They do have a small buffet style lunch to choose from if you are on the go. Plenty of seating but parking is limited so get there early for a spot because it's absolutely worth it. The food was delivered in a timely manner and everything was fresh and hot. The only thing that is a disappointment is we live so far away. If you are looking for a great place to eat in Key Largo, This Is It!!!”

“Really loved our meal here yesterday! Staff were super friendly. Margaritas were refreshing, one of the best ones I’ve had. I’ve had many, lol! The chili was SO good! Being from the Midwest I feel like I have had some good chili, but this was really good! Our burgers were SO flavorful and tasty, a half pound! For key lime pie to go as we were too full to eat it there. So glad we stopped in!”

“My family and I were headed on our way out of The Keys. We were looking for waterfront with some good reviews. We were so surprised to find this hidden gem. From start to finish, all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The outdoor dining is creative with little water fountains and cute decor. The food was some of the best and freshest we found in the Keys. My husband loved the ribs, said they were “on point”. My sisters fish tacos were so fresh ..they had to have caught it that morning!? She raved about it. I have to say that my salad was one of the freshest I’ve ordered at a Seafood restaurant. Props to our waiter Steven, he was refreshingly funny and exceptionally attentive even though they were very busy. Some of the best service I’ve ever had to be honest! I don’t know how this place isn’t 5 stars? People Need to rate when it’s great too!! We will definitely be back!”

“My favorite bar/club on Key Largo. Fun, good music, always filled with regulars. There are some really good bands who play here. I prefer when they play inside as the sound is better. Most of the time they are out by the water. It's absolutely lovely to wander out back to the dock and take in the ocean air. Highly recommend!

Parking: Plenty of parking except during high season and major events. Boats & trailers pay a fee to use ramp and park”

Despite having 5 other weddings that weekend, Chef GIna graciously fit us in. She is so very accommodating and easy to work with! The cake and barquettes came out wonderful and she decorated the cake with very specific requests from the bride. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely use Chef Gina again! If you are staying at ORC, this is an excellent lunch spot.”

We were underdressed (what we thought) and Yoly seen us and demanded that we come in for breakfast. We were hesitant but she insisted and even offered to pay for our meal. What she didn't know was it was my birthday and she mad my day start off beautifully!!! Not only did she pay for our meal, she also sent a birthday surprise which was a delicious cake to our suite that evening. “Cool bar with a direct beach location. The drinks are good. You can sit/stand in the bar, enjoy your drinks on the terrace or down on the beach. The service is nice, it is a self-service restaurant. The beach and park area at the front is great. You can also try out some games. There are toilets and enough parking spaces. The bar is connected to the hotel complex next to it.”

“Great local restaurant with friendly service and excellent food. We try to go at least once on every visit. My favorite breakfast is the pulled pork hash and eggs. A generous serving of chunks of bite size pork is served over cheesy potatoes, grilled peppers and onions. Then on top of this are two eggs cooked to order.

The wait staff are very friendly. There is outside seating overlooking the canal.”

“I come here for a day trip. I love coming here and always recommend. It is right outside the keys, so you can get a taste of the keys without having to go all the way. Has a mini beach with fences around it so it is perfect for the kids to play around and You can relax while watching them with their beach view tables. there is a dock so you can either drive there or take a boat there if you have a boat in the keys. I always recommend this location to anybody who is visiting and always take any of my visitors to this location. Amazing would recommend.
