Previous visits to other Steak and Shakes have given me the impression that the restaurant chain was on the decline. However during a recent visit to this Steak and Shake it gave me a different impression. The location was clean, the service was very good, the prices were fair, and the food was very good. We stopped here passing through on our way home from Gainesville (we live in Northwest Florida) we don’t have a Steak and Shake near us so we decided to try it. It wasn’t busy but the person on the floor was super friendly, the food was fresh and hot which is always a plus at a fast food place, and it was really good! Very impressed with how good it was! Definitely stop in and try them if you are in the Lake City area!

I stopped eating at Steak n Shake a couple of years ago because it didn't seem to matter where I was, the food sucked and so did the customer service. Out of desperation I decided I would lower my expectations severely and just swing in and grab a stale burger and cold fries and deal with it, I mean at least I wouldn't be hungry anymore, right?!
