“The quality of the food is always good, but for both visits the lack of staff made for unusual waiting. However, the servers were kind and friendly when they had opportunity. It’s not a coffee place, so don’t expect that to impress, but the breakfast entrees are good.“
“Stopped in for a quick snack. Ordered a toasted glazed bagel with strawberry shmear which was great! I’ll be back again for sure. The only thing I’d recommend is that the lighting be updated or fixed. A lot of the lights inside have a flicker to them and I wasn’t able to stay for long.“

“Food was great, we enjoyed our meal and I thought the food quality was pretty good - I am always leery of bacon quality when I order it in a meal these days, but it was pretty decent! The service was not the best, it took a while for them to bring us menus, and when they brought us water there were tons of hard water stains all over the glass. This isn't really a problem per se, but it wasn't really the best presentation. We received our food quickly but never saw our server again after that - we did go to the counter to relay what our order was and pay, which was relatively painless, just unexpected. Overall, the food was good and we may come back for more of it in future.“
“I dined in here and had breakfast. It was good, but the grits were a little dry. Everything else was delicious. They have a large dining area with booths as well as tables. There is also outside seating and a large bar serving alcoholic drinks at breakfast, and dining at the bar. My server was awesome ? and took good care of us. “Solid 4 all day long. The food was tasty. The service was very good. The atmosphere still has that "hometown diner" feel to it. And the prices are extremely reasonable. I just found this place by a friend's recommendation and I'm glad that I stopped in. I'll definitely be making a follow up visit to make sure that it still jibes well.“
“Eggs Up Grill is a favorite for breakfast and lunch. Eggs with corned beef is great, as are the crab cakes and shrimp and grits. The grits are nice and creamy every time. There is a lot to choose from on the menu (Bananas Foster French Toast, anyone?) and they are happy to take special requests as well. They even have oatmilk for those who choose no dairy. “After waiting over an hour for our food at a nearby brunch restaurant (and with terrible service), we finally gave up and headed to this First Watch. By now it was after 1p and we were really in need of breakfast. Megan greeted, seated, and served us. We mentioned we were frustrated after waiting so long at the other restaurant and she mentioned that food orders were only taking about 15 min. Our food was out in under 10 min, and it was piping hot. I was very surprised by how good the chilaquiles and beans were, especially for a breakfast restaurant. The beans weren’t over-cooked, and my request of over-easy eggs in place of scrambled, was met with perfectly cooked eggs. Megan was professional, very pleasant and super efficient- everything you want in a server. We hadn’t been to a First Watch in probably over 10 years, but after this experience we will be back much sooner.“

“We had a great experience there today. The food was great, service was great! We were sitting across from the person that wrote the above review. I beg to differ. There is no racism shown here ever. We frequent this place as often as we can! Why someone would post something that was so untrue because you have internal issues is baffling. Yes the man behind you confronted you. It wasn’t a big deal. I witnessed the entire situation as did another table. This restaurant is extremely busy especially on a Sunday and yes, it takes time. There was never a 40 minute wait for a server to come to your table. In fact the same server waited on us and everything was amazing. “Ate here for the first time traveling through town with my girlfriend and they did not disappoint. Food portions were enormous and fantastic. Homemade sausage gravy was exactly what I was craving. The pancakes were Soo big that we had to take half home for later and still amazing.
