“When you walk in and El Alfa is playing so loud I have to repeat my order to the cashier, you know the food is going to be legit. Tight little gas station with a fantastically popular cafe inside. Sadly, I didn't get to try the food- when I arrived there were only some meager looking ham and cheese croissants left, I wanted a classic guava pastry! The cafe con leche though? Let me tell ya. Five stars, perfecto cafe, strong. There was a line approaching being outside the door by the time I left. I'm sure the pastries and sandwiches were banging since there were none left at 0900. I'm going to go ahead and give them 5 estrellas 'cause they deserve it.“

“So far I've tried the Cuban Sanguish, the croquetas, guava pastries and sweet plantains. The sanwich was very good and its pretty thick in pork meat. I found it a tad over seasoned for my taste but that's just me. Overall I really enjoyed the sandwich and I shared the pastries with my co-workers and they really liked them. “My husband and I both ordered shrimp in garlic sauce with yellow rice, plantains and black beans. Large portions, well seasoned and very flavorful. My husband loves flan, so he ordered it and our waiter suggested some coconut on the side as I had mentioned that I really like coconut.
