My first time going to Upper Crust and my initial impression was a scowling lady (owner, manager?) who while not mean was not welcoming either, however when we left she was nearing pleasant and that can be because we purchased several pies. The shop could use a sprucing up and like the woman's attitude would benefit from some improvements. The pies ranged from okay to good. The problem I had was that the Peach Pie seemed to be not fresh peaches and I understand for the price and season I'm not going to get fresh peaches but this was like one of those syrupy peach fruit cups. The Cherry's in the Cherry Pie also seemed like they were of the canned variety and despite that both pies were still okay. With apples it's harder to discern and perhaps because of that I found the Apple Pie to be pretty good. The best pie was the Banana Cream Pie and this had a more natural taste and a good ratio of crust to filling and instead of mostly a cream filling it had a good amount of fruit. I would go back to Upper Crust and give them another try.

It was my first visit here after hearing/reading rave reviews. I called ahead and explained I was a new customer with questions and the employee seemed annoyed. When I arrived, there were zero customers and this employee was no friendlier in person. I asked which of the fruit pies were in season to which she responded "I don't know, we use all frozen fruit anyway." My guests and I enjoyed the pie crust, the filling was a tad too sweet for most of us. For $20 and the drive over there I would hope for better customer service from a small business.

The crust was delicious, but the lemon meringue was tasteless. I'll stick to the fruit pies!

Ordered two pies for Thanksgiving. Pick-up was very organized and smooth and most importantly the pies were fresh and delicious. Pecan and chocolate crème. The pecan was still warm.

Whenever I'm back in South Florida, I always stop at Upper Crust. This year we pre-ordered for Thanksgiving. The pre-order was easy, the pick-up was organized and quick. As usual they hit it out of the park. Everyone raved about the pies. Truly a gem!

It's the best bakery for homemade pies. If you live in WPB, Benders is a convenient place to buy UCB pies. The mini pies are great for a mid day treat.

No matter which pie way order from this bakery it is absolutely a hit with the family and friends. We don’t even have a favorite. Each one is very fresh. We love this place and they definitely taste, homemade and are extremely delicious.

Why I'll go back: Because whatever flavor of pie I'm in the mood for, they make it! You HAVE to try: I'm partial to key lime. However, they offer a variety of berry pies, all of which are great. Unless you're a purist (blackberry, apple, etc.), the mixed berry is delicious. Tony's Tip: A two-fer here - first, the place opens at 10:00 and is often sold out by 1:30. Second, while I will often pop in for a couple individual pies and choose from what's left, you can order ahead ANY pie from their extensive list. I would go that route if you don't want to chance it, especially if you're planning to entertain guests, heading to a picnic, etc. Funny story - I discovered Upper Crust when I went out on a quest one morning looking for an almond croissant for my wife. Yelped several bakeries in Lantana, Lake Worth, and (southern) West Palm. The first two had slim pickins', and I figured eventually I'd score. Next on the list was Upper Crust, which is actually the name of a well-known local pizza chain in my hometown of Boston. Anyway, I pull up to this bare bones-looking corner shop on S. Dixie Hwy thinking it's gonna be strike three. And in a way, it was. No croissant. No bagels. No muffins or banana bread or breakfast sandwiches. Not even coffee. Just pies. Lots of pies. Of every flavor imaginable. A pie lover's dream, in fact! Turns out, this place has been around for decades, and all of the locals know it well. So, I decide to grab a large berry pie and a couple individual ones. I come home empty-handed (sort of), but the wife and I decide to pivot to pie for breakfast. And a new, life-long friendship was born. Like I said, they make everything. See pics of the menu from my fellow Yelpers. You can order ANY of these with a day or two's notice, either large or individual. The product is VERY consistent. And the prices are more than reasonable - $5 for an individual pie that is good for two or no more than $20 for a whole pie that will last you for days. This is now a regular stop whenever we come back down to our condo in Palm Beach, and it's a must order when we host friends or have family for the holidays. So, check this place out, and let's keep 'em in business. The world (at least my little world down here) will be worse off if we can't all enjoy some pie when the craving hits!

We picked up a peach pie from Bedners,as usual Upper Crust was on point. The peach filling was not too sweet or gooy. The crust was second to none light flakey not too buttery or oily.I only wish that my diet would allow me to eat the pies every day.?
