So I decided to have an early breakfast on Sunday morning and went to this cafe after having driven past multiple times but not stopping in. Within 10 mins of ordering, I got my french toast, eggs, toast, ham, and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns at this place require no ketchup/hot sauce/extra flavor. They are tasty enough the way they make them...actually some of the best hashbrowns I've ever had!I really wanted to try the reuben so yesterday I called to make an order but they were unfortunately out of rye bread. No problem - decided to get the cheesesteak sandwich and that ended up being a GREAT decision. The bread was soft and warm (no burnt or overly crunchy bread like I've experienced at other places). I had them make it the way they normally make it and this sandwich was delicious! So far 2 for 2!Then today, I gave them another call, they had rye bread again, so I needed to try their reuben (my favorite sandwich). I told the gentleman on the phone that I did not want thousand island dressing on my reuben. I used to order from a little deli in Chicago where they put yellow mustard on reuben sandwiches instead of TI dressing, and so that's how I've always enjoyed it. The guy said that he actually likes his reubens the same way as me...first time I've ever heard that in 25+ years. Went and picked up the sandwich and it was one of the closest reuben sandwiches when comparing to that special reuben I used to order as a kid up north. So far, this place is 3 for 3 for me and I will most likely be returning frequently to patronize their cafe. The only downside I could potentially see is that this is a smaller type cafe. I guess you could call it one of those secret hole-in-the-wall spots that happens to serve great food. I love that the place is veteran owned and from my experiences so far, they work together like a family. This may not be the place to invite 20 people to breakfast or lunch, but for larger groups, just order takeout and if you're just trying to get a quick bite solo or with one other person, this is THE place for breakfast and/or lunch! Thank you Edgewood Cafe staff for giving me a wonderful food option only five min away from my business!

Despite the fact its 9 am I was craving a pastrami sandwich and the edge came through with an amazing one! Been wanting to try this place and I'm officially a fan! Prices are very fair for fresh homemade food. They paid attention to detail and switched the rye bread out for Texas toast on my door dash order. The biscuits and gravy tasted like they were both from scratch. Awesome little local cafe. Ill be back soon to support privately owned local

We were excited to try this new Cafe and they dropped the ball. Ordered breakfast to go and my husband got there and none of it was ready. He waited in the car and the girl came to ask him how did he want his eggs. I told her the order over the phone and she even repeated back to me. He got no apology and had to wait an extra 25 minutes. First and last time we'll eat there. Very dissaponted since they're veterans like us.

I highly recommend The Edge Cafe, free wifi and amazing service. The food quality is absolutely amazing. Great affordable pricing and Veteran run! I would gladly wait in line for years just to have Pegs food.

Amazing food and excellent customer service. Food is very high quality and one time I ordered a to go order that didn't have any fries, called them and when I went back they gave me a whole order of fries and a free meal card for next time. Mistakes happen but the way this business handles them exceeded my expectations.

The perfect spot for breakfast and lunch. Greek omelet with skillet seared hash browns and fresh texas toast are amazing! Don't forget a side of sausage gravy and biscuit-it is one of the best in Lakeland. Put this cafe on your weekly or monthly radar!

This small cafe nestled in a plaza on Edgewood (as the name suggests) is veteran-owned/operated, fairly priced, and offers a small-town hospitality in the midst of bustling Lakeland, Florida. It may not be much to look at in regards to Instagram-worthy aesthetic, but it appears clean, functional, and inviting in its own way. The owners/staff were accommodating and kind, even offering to make me an off-menu coffee without hesitation. I’m happy I gave this little local spot a try, and I think you will be too!

We ordered breakfast today from The Edge Cafe. The food was extremely bland. The sausage gravy for the side order of biscuits and gravy included one biscuit cut in half and a very bland sausage gravy. When someone orders biscuit”s” and gravy yet receives one “biscuit” that’s not as mentioned. The meat omelet with everything except spinach added was as I said extremely bland. There was zero cheese in this omelet. It was a vegetable l/some meat egg wrapped with no flavor. I am extremely dissatisfied with the product I received today and will not be ordering from this establishment in the future. There are many breakfast restaurants in the area. Fast food breakfast was better than what I ate today from The Edge Cafe.

Rockin Hot pastrami sammie, biscuits-N-gravy and even sides of bacon! Fat perfectly rendered nearly every time. Plus the banana bread is pretty bomb too. Its always clean and neat and the folks there are chill and respectful. very reasonable prices to match

Love the set up and the menu. All the breakfast and lunch have to's with a menu that's short and to the point. I've been in the industry almost 14 years.... this is the ideal place I'd love to work at or own.

Tried the cheesesteak. Its not advertised as a Philly cheesesteak, and I'm cheesesteak, as its not a true Philly. But what it is, is a very delicious cheesesteak sandwich. One I would order again and again.

I tried this small Cafe today with my grandchildren, personally I haven't eaten out in a restaurant since early February. I have never been here, so, it was a first for me and my grandchildren, we were not disappointed. The moment you enter the cleanliness is apparent it smells clean and it looks clean from the counter you can view the kitchen area, all extremely clean. The food was delicious, I had the grilled cheese, my granddaughter had a chef salad and my grandson had a bacon egg and cheese croissant, everything was fabulous.
