“This trip to a new restaurant did not disappoint! The food was great, made fresh, and the portion sizes big enough to share. Our host was very friendly and accommodating, and the wait was pretty much nonexistent. The decor was also pretty cozy, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for halal food in the area.“

“My wife and I have been going here for a couple years now, the service is always great, the atmosphere is clean and upscale, the owner is always there making sure everything is running efficiently, and the food is always fresh, plentiful, and delicious! We always get the octopus to start and it is fabulous and just spicy enough to be enjoyable while not overpowering. We have had the malai kabob, the rogan josh, the butter chicken, the moksha platter, the chicken tikka massala, the gulab jamoon, the garlic naan, cheese naan, and more and everything has always been great!“

But that Gosia girl and her partners in crime, Vanessa and Elena!!!! They are the magic we go there for always! They are like our extended family that always greet us with love and enthusiasm! Yes, the food is fantastic, but we really now go there to see our girls!Go check it out! You will love it!!!“

“The Indian Harbor is an excellent restaurant for those who love Indian cuisine. My favorites are the Dal Makhani and the Butter Chicken. I usually order via UberEats but prefer to go in person to truly appreciate the naan fresh from the oven. The food and service are excellent… go with a friend to introduce them to this local delight.“

“As a former New Yorker and lifelong lover of Indian cuisine, I like to think I know, or at least can appreciate, great tasting Indian food—and a close friend and I were pleasantly surprised by what we found in Curry Cafe!TikTok raved about Arun's, so we tried there first, but it didn't hit the mark. AT ALL. Then we found Curry Cafe. The Lamb Rogan Josh and Goat Curry were absolutely delicious; rich, flavorful, and authentic. The best part was that the owner’s personal attention after we finished our meal made us feel truly taken care of and considered. Forget the hype of other places you see in the area—Curry Cafe is the real deal! We definitely will be back!“

“Great food, decent prices and quick service. I was working in the area and decided to go to this place. It's in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. Menu is not too complicated and prices are very reasonable. I placed an order for Nihari and Naan with some chicken corn soup. Everything was fresh and prepared for my order. Naan were fluffy and pretty decent for size, as a matter of fact much bigger than many other Desi restaurants. Owner was on the counter and he is a friendly gentleman. Overall it was great experience and I enjoyed the food.“

“The best Indian food I’ve had outside of my auntie’s house! Wow! Highly recommend the lunch buffet so you can sample all they have. Tanya, the owner’s daughter, gave us the best service! And the owner is super nice as well. Can’t say enough good things about this place.“

“Stepped into this place off the Beaten Track nowhere quite near my home but when I arrived I was taken to an enchanting Garden of Indian Delight. I was treated to a delicious meal with exceptional and cozy hospitality. Perfect warmth. Loved it.Now I came in after a long drive and I was expecting to take this food home however there is a gentleman waiting for takeout and he convinced me that it's much better to eat it in if this is my First time there period He was right and I thank him for that. I had the Thalia platter with butter chx and sag paneer.I found this place from from a 20-something-year-old from FAU on tiktok!“

“My husband had such a great night here! We went in Wednesday for the unlimited dosa night. The deal is $15 per person from 5-11 pm and it includes different vegetarian options. The staff here was so kind and tended to us almost every 10 minutes. The food came out hot and fresh. We ran into some regulars that come every week and it makes sense why they do.“

“Weekend buffet: The best Indian buffet we've had in years. And certainly the most upscale. (Of course, the pandemic put an end to buffets and many restaurants chose not to offer buffets anymore so there hasn't been much choice.)Still, the space is elegant and the buffet is displayed nicely. The side nearest the main seating area is non-veg; the side nearest the wall is vegetarian. (As vegetarians, we didn't look at the meat side.) We were told they change up the dishes all the time.On our visit there were two mango desserts, one cold, one hot. Three appetizers: spinach pakora, spiced chickpeas and upma, plus pieces of naan bread and pappadum. Three entrees: a potato dish (dry, not in a sauce), dal makhani, and a paneer dish in red sauce. Then white rice, a spiced rice dish, and sambar soup, plus a vegetable biryani directly opposite on the otherwise meat side. After that at a smaller table was a dosa station, where dosas were made fresh by request and brought to your table when ready so you don't have to stand there and wait. (We chose potato filling and they were delicious!) Also at this table there was pani puri and the typical condiments such as cilantro coconut sauce, tamarind, lime pickle, etc.Lastly, there was hot chai tea and a cold beverage that could have been an herbal tea.The weekend buffet was $24 per person. You can also pay extra for bottomless mimosas. We did not, but I think I saw somewhere that it's $12. During the week the buffet is offered only on Friday. We were told Friday's is smaller, so it probably costs less but we didn't ask.We certainly had enough to eat. The dishes were not as hot spicewise as we normally like, and while the options weren't our favorites we enjoyed our lunch. We will definitely go back.“

“Down here visiting relatives. One of them had a recommendation for Khana Kh’Zana so off we went. Staff was friendly and welcoming and the menu offers a lot of dishes. Food was outstanding and staff helped with any questions or requestsThis is the kind of place I love, where they have accomplished a homey ambience without any pretentious decor to cover up any shortcomings, instead you get to relax and enjoy some great solid cuisine“

“I have this place right next to my job and it makes me the happiest girl in the world. I prefer aruns over royal India any day! The chicken is always so delicious as opposed to royal India, where it tastes chewy and almost always originally frozen. everything is bursting with flavor here & the service is fairly quick!“

“Madras Cafe is a pleasure to visit.Let's start with the staff, the waiter was top notch, he was very busy getting ready for a big event, but despite of that he was courteous and respectful. They were out of some dishes but he offered alternatives and helped us to have the best experience. We tried the vegetarian menu, and you will not miss the animal protein. The flavors of the food was outstanding, a bit spicy ??? please ask how spicy the food is before ordering. I am not allergic to anything but let them know about any allergy, the dishes have peanuts and cashews.Really easy to park right in front of the restaurant.Don't miss this place, you won't regret it.“

“I found Nisha’s at the Legion Park Farmer’s Market that happens every Saturday in Miami, FL. To be quite honest, the guy that sells these amazing products sucks. He isn’t friendly, he’s almost rude, and even my friend who shops there every Saturday stop buying from him because of his attitude.I almost walked away without buying but I am glad I did.The vegetable samosas and Chana Masala are so delicious, I’ve been craving more!I have never been in-store, which I’m sure has amazing service and atmosphere.I would love to shop in house because I’m not sure I’ll buy from the guy who sells at the market any longer. But the food is definitely excellent!“

“Boca’s BEST kept secret. ?I’ve been coming here for lunch with my co-workers for nearly 10 years now & always will! For about $12 you can get a 3 course mouth watering lunch that blows any local chain restaurant out of the water! Punjab is family owned & authentic Indian cuisine with the decor and music to match. Highly recommend to anyone looking to try something new & support local small businesses ◡̈“
“So i finally found that tiny jem! Salma the owner was so nice. We tried the chix biryani and chix masala The biryani was very fragrant with a little spice. The masala sauce was simple yet delicious matching the rice for a perfect lunch. Only 5 seats so grab your food and enjoy outside next door. This is another local spot that needs to be supported over the chains. Go, try, see for yourself! Is it aruns well maybe not but it also half the price. A+ we will be back a lot“

“The owner was very nice. I ordered takeout online but it apparently went through grub hub. He told me to call the store directly next time I want to pick up as the in store prices are lower. The vegetable samosas and chicken bryanni were delicious.“

“This is the first time I had roti, but it won't be the last. If you like curry, and have never had roti, I highly suggest you try Ali's Roti Shop. First, let me say when you go in you are welcomed with a smile. As some of the other reviews have said, the ladies in Ali's are welcoming and don't mind questions. For example, I thought roti was curry wrapped up like a burrito, but the menu says - chicken AND roti or beef AND roti. So hoping they would forgive my ignorance, I asked about this. (You can have yourcurry wrapped in roti like a large sandwich or separate is the answer by the way.) The portions are huge here!! So I suggest getting the roti on the side. Picking it up as a sandwich was yummy but messy. In fact, with the portions as large as this, I could have made several burrito like roti instead of just one huge one. The curry itself was slightly hot, according to my friend who was with me, who is Jamaican. His tolerance is higher than mine. I would say it is medium spicy lol. It was very tasty and filling and not so hot that I couldn't taste the spices and flavor. The curry spice is the star as are the big pieces of moist chicken. I also got a piece of carrot cake, which was moist and delicious with just the right amount of cream cheese icing. It was also a large portion. To drink, I got their pineapple ginger juice that they make there, and it was perfect- spicy and sweet. The place itself is very clean and homey. Overall, a great first experience with roti! Epic fail on pics as usual. Always forget to take til it is too late.“

“One of the best Indian food joints in Fort Lauderdale. Not to be confused with Bombay Durbar on Las Olas. The stuff from the tandoor is all phenomenal. Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Shrimp and the Lamb Chops. The breads are amazing and the we love the Dals and Kadavu Paneer. We’re Indian and this our go to restaurant every week or so!“

“I went with my Uncle for lunch. Our waiter, who I think was also the owner was Ramesh. He is friendly, proud of his restaurant and food and encouraged us to try many things. His passion was infectious. Service was exceptional and warm. He was attentive and nurturing to my Uncle and spooned some of all our dishes onto his plate, always made sure our water was filled, had great food recommendations, enjoyed talking to us. My Uncle ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and saffron rice. I ordered Bhindi Masala (okra) and coconut rice. We also ordered peshwari naan (filled with nuts, coconut and dry fruits) and for dessert pistachio and mango kulfi (a frozen dessert) and chai (tea). I thought the all the dishes were delicious but the Chicken Tikka Masala was exceptional. I felt it had more flavor than other restaurants, probably because of the spice ratio or quality of ingredients. I also thought the chai was exceptional, balanced and the once again ratio of spices to milk was superb for my taste. The bill was expensive. They are located in an expensive shopping plaza so be aware of that. I also noticed the menu had more options than at other Indian restaurants. We would go back again.“

“The food was good. We were greeted and seated quickly. We took awhile to decide on our food and told the server 2 times that we needed more time. Once we were ready to order we notified him. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children....all the food came at different times. We got to a point of waiting about 40 mins after the 1st main dish was served to have to ask where the rest of our food was bc everyone else who came in long after us were getting food and there was no sign of our food. As if that wasn't annoying enough, we wanted to split our bill (half cash and half credit) and they couldn't do that and instead asked us 4 times if we are putting tip on the card or leaving cash. Based on the service we will not be supporting the business even tho the food was good.“

“Whenever I visit a new city or town I always try to find West Indian/Caribbean restaurants to try because it's my all time favorite food. I ordered a ton of goodies the salara and chicken foot were my favorite 10/10 and my mom liked the chinese cake 8/10, the pine tart was ok. They have everything you would find back home in terms of pastries and I loved seeing that because some of the items I haven't seen or ate in forever. My favorite menu item from the hot bar, was the boil and fried channa it was so good 10/10, the white pudding was a 5/10, overall everything else was a 7/10. I ordered ahead of time and still had to wait a bit when I arrived, realizing I could've just ordered everything when I got there because the food was already out on the food bar, minus the white pudding they were preparing in the back, don't expect them to cut up the white pudding. They have two persons seating but not alot of space to dine in.“

“I went there by myself which is not something I usually do. Which kind makes sense why I actually forgot my wallet and didn't realize it until I finished my meal...story of my life! The meal was excellent, I ordered the chicken Tika Biryani and the spice level, their lowest spice level, was medium. The rice was cooked to perfection and the yogurt sauce was a perfect accoutrement. I also got butter Naan and a mango lassi. The lassi had an almost milkshake quality to it...it hit the spot!I ordered Gulab Jamun and the two balls in the sweet sauce, I know...Pause...it was delicious! So now knowing I forgot my wallet, I remembered my bank app on my phone, displayed the card number and the other info too. The staff was able to punch in the info and I was saved from washing dishes for the next year of my life! All in all, great experience!“

“Stopped by on a whim and ordered a bit of food. It was a good idea. Place was quiet, dark and simple. Food arrived quick and was hot and delicious. Bought some sweets on my way out. Gulab Jaman and jalebi were amazing. Balu Shahi were dry, hard and stale. One thing i didnt like was that there was a 15% tip/ service fee added for a party of three of us. And it was not even our choice or a choice to edit/remove. That's not good business. Pretty desi way to hide and charge customers. Overall a good stop. Will go there again.“

“All the food is phenomenal and makes my taste buds dance like a Taíno native. I ordered dhai puri, channa batura, masala dosa, thali, and Pau bhaji, a Limca, Thumbs Up, and a mango Lassi. The service is good; they are very friendly staff workers. My mom ate something too spicy and they helped us make her more comfortable. For atmosphere, I'll take away a star because I'm not a fan of self-serve or paper plates, which is how it is here. That said, the food is SOOOO good I believe it's worth the experience. I am not a fan of any vegetarian meals I've had, but here I literally enjoyed EVERY...SINGLE...THING.“

“You went there and it was closed, you never tried the food or experienced the service, but quick to put them down and try the other spot 4 mins away. Do me a favor an try them when their open because that spot 4 mins away was bought and sold 4 times already! Shalamas has been owned and operated by the same people for 25 plus years. They must be doing something right“
