“A a big shout out to Gem Eatery in Margate. This small family-owned eatery is only open for breakfast and lunch. The service is a tad slow but that is because everything is made from scratch and the servings are huge. I did not mind the wait especially since the reward was worth every bite. The service is amazing. You must try the gigantic cinnamon bun large enough for 3 people. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but the coffee is smooth and not acidic at all, I enjoyed 2 cups, hubby had 4. The homemade English muffins were extra-large, fresh, and tasty. This is a must for all of us and would be quite a gesture as we support our neighborhood eateries. Laurie does all of the baking at the facility and her husband Tony is the man behind the delicious meals. We plan to return and plan to try the smothered home fries. I give Gem Eatery 5 Stars and am proud the say that its right here in our neck of the woods.“

“I knew I wanted to go to Archibald's since they opened. Their social media makes it look like such a fun and delicious place to stop in for a coffee or a sweet treat! And lemme tell you--all my expectations were exceeded handily from the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted warmly by the owner, Chris, and couldn't wait to order my oat milk latte. They served it in a 16oz size, which was PERFECT for my perhaps worrisome reliance on caffeine. It was strong and delicious, just the way I LOVE it. The music and the setting were outstanding. I couldn't help singing along with the playlists piping through their cozy outdoor seating area and several little birds and neighborhood pups made the experience that much more enjoyable. Chris would deliver orders to the seating area and his warmth and hospitality made this THE place to be, especially on an overcast Sunday morning. I loved the pumpkin spice scone and the quiche was BEAUTIFUL, especially with that gluten-free crust. I try to limit that consumption as much as I can though I have to admit--baked goods are my kryptonite. All in all, an incredible experience. I look forward to returning when I'm back in Ft. Lauderdale. And when I come, I'll be sure to bring my souvenir mug--they'll fill it with drip coffee for only a DOLLA'! “This is the best acai of quite a few places I've tried in the area. Their menu has a unique variety of toppings and flavors. I'm hooked on the No. 5, it has peanuts and cacao with blueberries and bananas. Their smoothies are also delicious too! Portions, pricing, and quality makes this the best and my favorite acai spot. ?“

“It's pricey. The jazz is top notch. The Jambalaya is fantastic! But, after going there with various groups of people for six months, and spending at least $100 per night per couple, last night the owner asked us to leave so another group of people could use our table. The band was a little late getting started so we heard a set and a half of jazz.The people we were with were going to order more wine, too. “Wow. I seriously mean, wow. I had to collect myself to properly give a review of this restaurant. From the beginning we were greeted with warm and inviting smiles. We were given three types of menus, it had a plethora of choices and one by one my eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas. I couldn’t believe that they had vegan sushi! My heart went immediately for a roti pizza called Mystic Pizza. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a vegan place in SoFlo. My wife ordered the jack fruit and the flavors were brilliantly done. I could taste not only the love but the soul of the seasonings. We were extremely delighted with every we tried. Then a gentleman that works there, handed us an all natural fruit smoothie sample and I was impressed. Honestly the food is impressive and so are the people that provide the service. “This is truly a small Italian restaurant to treasure. Roberta is the charming Italian woman who is your server. There are about 10 tables inside and about 5 outside. I live much of the year in my villa in Tuscany, so I know good Italian food.One of the nicest things about Roberta's is that they don't offer wines, but allow you to bring your own without a corkage fee. Ironically, they own the Italian market next door which sells wine and will open it for you if you come unprepared.I've been twice. the first time we had lasagna and chicken parmigiana. I always like to try traditional dishes to calibrate the establishment, and she passed with flying colors. Both dishes were about $20.Our second visit we had ossobuco and a shrimp linguine. Both were specials of the night and were $40 and $30 respectively. Though they were both more expensive than any regular menu item, they were well worth it.I have not yet tried her pizza because it is only offered at lunch. This is the opposite of Tuscany where it is impossible to get (real) pizza at lunch.“

“Discovered this place once when looking for a bakery to make Triffle for my event. They were very friendly and accommodating. Made the triffle based on my recommendation and very affordable pricing. They went way above my expectations that I even had my wedding cake done by them. They did that too on short notice and it came out so spectacular and delicious. This small shop was within walking distance and very close to the main pier and other shops. We got the honey cinnamon iced latte and the Vietnamese coffee cold brew which were both delicious! You can either order from the counter when you walk in, or order from your table and pay after at the counter. I had a chai latte that was creamy and dreamy. My friend had an expresso with frothed milk that she enjoyed. We both had omelettes. You have a choice of home fries or fruit, and a toast option. The omelettes were plentiful, for a matter of fact my friend couldn't finish hers. I finished mine because I'm a foodie and a yelpie of course! As you see in my photo, we went with the fruit. The fruit was fresh and abundant. This place isn't close to my home, however I will most certainly come back to relax here and enjoy something delicious! They have a massive board with all of what they offer over the counter. They have hot and cold coffees, tea and smoothies. They have pastries and hot food, so pretty much everyone can find something that they will enjoy! The restaurant has been open for 10 years. Boy have I been missing out! We used to buy cookies here every week when they first opened but something in the quality has changed since the beginning. The cookie are now very hard and overly sweet.
