We dined at El Tucan for the first time this evening, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! We had Aubrey as our server, and she was so friendly and gracious. The menu had a lot of delicious sounding options, which made it difficult to make a decision, so we asked for her recommendations. Let me tell you, she did not steer us wrong! My parents ended up sharing the Pineapple Chicken, which was an incredibly unique and tasty dish. I went with the Chimichurri Steak which was juicy and cooked and seasoned to absolute perfect! It was also served with a side of sweet plantains, refried beans, and fluffy Mexican rice. Everything was hot and fresh, and wonderfully delicious. We will definitely be returning to our new favorite Mexican restaurant very soon!

I highly recommend the steak and shrimp fajitas. You're probably going to need a reservation if you're going for dinner anywhere between 6:00 and 7:30

Really good beef chimichanga. On a Saturday evening, they could use more servers.

We had the best Mexican meal we've had in a long time at El Toucan yesterday. My husband always orders enchiladas and he couldn't contain himself with joy over his perfect meal! He ordered his with the perfectly spiced ground beef and their ranchero sauce. Wow! I'm not sure why my trio (taco, enchilada and burrito) was so flavorful too but I'm guessing it's the high quality ingredients they must use. Also, it took a while for our food to be delivered, unlike many Mexican restaurants, so we know everything was prepared fresh. And today when we had our leftovers, it tasted just as good as yesterday. Not only was the food superb, but we were there at Happy Hour. Mexican beers were $2.00 and Bud Light was $1.00! Unbelievable! And they were served so COLD! In addition, the wait staff was very attentive! And the restaurant and rest rooms were spotless! I just can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Dakota is a rockstar! We had a party of 9 show up on a Saturday around 7pm. The place was busy but we were sat in a reasonable amount of time. The drinks were strong, the food was hot and the service was GREAT. Despite seeming short staffed on a busy night our server was all smiles and got all separate tickets right on the first go. This was in addition to clearing all tables and handling the people coming in. Fabulous night - highly recommend.

The tacos and enchiladas were floating in oil and burnt and the chicken lacked any real flavor. It also took forever to come out. They weren't very busy for a weekend night, which was surprising at first until we got out food. That being said, the service was lovely and they have decent margaritas and queso blanco. This place used to be a favorite and it's disappointing how it's really gone down hill over the years.
