Great staff and delicious food. Fish was a little crispy bestia how i normally like it, but seasoned perfectly. The octopus was one of the best i ever had.

Came here while on vacation before COVID. Still think about this place as the roti & curry was very good and very Trini. It's not cheap but you do get a lot of food, and good curry can be expensive to make. It's also a lounge though so during lunch time they crank up the music and people in the know will walk in from the beach and order Henny to go with their curry chicken. I was the only West Indian in my friend group, but honestly it was a good time and we all made some friends that day. Good food & vibes!

I am not certain why there are business hours posted here as well as a telephone number when it is clear this business is not operating.I went to the restaurant yesterday and was unable to find it. I asked the other businesses in the same area and they had no idea about this restaurant. I called the number listed and no one ever answered. If the restaurant is no longer operated it’s best to list it as closed.

Last time I reviewed this place was in March 2017, but it's been years since I haven't returned with good reason- and that's because of a really bad experience I had with one of the daughters; they have 2 daughters and a son who work behind the counters. Well let me just say, that one daughter is extremely catty and on that particular day flat out ignored me to my face while I stood in front of her, hoping she'd take my order; there was no one else waiting in line. I couldn't believe this was happening, that a customer could get snubbed like this! I could see the hostility in her face, body language and her long, fake lashes pointing downwards at the floor and all around the room as if no one was present. I had no choice but to speak up if I were to get my food, which I did receive after a long wait, despite the eatery being almost empty. Her sister had to bring it for me, because my order went ignored. By then I was so upset by the poor treatment, poor customer service that I mentioned this to her, that I saw how she'd ignored me on purpose. This is when she blows up on me, shouting and denying any of it...at this time 2 other workers came to the scene looking alarmed, while "daddy's girl" continues to make a show... eventually stepping out from behind the counter and towards me, in a very aggressive, hostile, violent way...basically making me feel unsafe and I'm not afraid of a fight, but avoid if possible. I do recall that I was called a B* by this same person on an earlier visit. She said to her father, the owner: But daddy, she's a B****!! He was unfazed and I was in shock by the total lack of respect, confused as to what I did to trigger this response considering how nice I am. When I reported that incident to him the next day, all he did was nod, smile, nonchalant like it's meaningless. I know that hate is a strong word, despite the fact that it's been 3 years I still can't get over how bad I was treated and can't help feeling intense resentment towards this person. I've never been guilty of mistreating customers like this, even on a bad day, as we all have them! Unacceptable to snub and even more so openly call a customer a b****! As of now, I've stayed far away even though I live around the block. I've learned how to make my own oxtail and butter beans, rice and peas with plaintains, and even better than their's. Their rice, by the way, smells and tastes like it's been microwaved and sometimes when I'd visit the eatery I could hear the microwave being used.

Driest curry chicken I’ve ever had in life. No spice. Only reason they get 2 stars is because the service was pretty quick

Tried to order this on yelp, placed the order and it said it went through. I called the restaurant they rudely advised they dont use yelp for order any longer. I gave up that day. The next day, I decided to order from Grub Hub. The order came when it was supposed to (delivered to my hotel). Food itself, I will mention I am from Trinidad, was good. I thought it was pretty authentic. The chicken roti was better than the veggie roti in my opinion. Good amount of food as well. Dont forget to order pepper sauce. I only ordered one and needed way more!

Really was the best part oF my trip to Miami. It's been 20 years since I've been to Miami. My last visit I had Roti and haven't forgotten about it. Found this place in Miami Beach and seriously couldn't wait to try it. Walked over late on a Tuesday night. The nicest young man (part of the fAmily business) helped me out. I was hoping to get a sampler of the meats. I think I saw something like that on a yelp review. They didn't have a combo like that. I would like to see him put that on the menu because for people like me, who can't get this kind of food very often back home, so I would have liked to taste more of theiR flavors. I ordered the curry goat with the Roti and the paratha. Sooooo good! The hot sauce was nice and spicy. I put it mostly on the other potato dish thhat was in a tasty sauce/curry. The goat such good flavor that I didn't wanna to change it with hot sauce. I wish I had the chance to try other dishes to give this restaurant a more well rounded review. But please give this place a try! Support family businesses!

I go to this superb restaurant once a month since I enjoy the ambiance that is unique to this restaurant. The team is exceptionally helpful and experienced. The service is extraordinarily quick. Most important, the food you get is perfect. I visited many times and I was always delighted. The price is modest. I suggest this restaurant to to all.

This one star is me being nice! Don't try ordering by phone. Everytime I called no answer. If they manage to pick up they put you on hold. I gave up with phone and walked in. To my surprise it wasn't as busy as I thought. I little secret about most of the food on the menu, "IT CANT BE MADE FRESH"! Basically, you got to warm it up and put it on the plate. The wait time on that is like 30min. I ordered the oxtail. On the menu it said $15.99. I got rice and beans and cabbage. Some of the cheapest things you could buy in bulk. The total came to be $21.56. I was hungry so I let slide thinking I was going to receive a good amount. Boy was I wrong. It came with 5 pieces of oxtail, two scoopes of rice and beans, and a pinch of cabbage. To my surprise yet again, the oxtail was more red then the traditional dark gravy. The texture of the oxtail was good, it was soft. But the taste is another story. I not a fan of "SWEET AND SPICE" oxtail. It had a weird smell. I think it's cause of the seasoning they used. I will not be going back for there anytime soon!

Just placed an order viaa Uber eats because unfortunately there wasn't any Jamaican restaurant available. I'm not sure if Jamaican oxtails and Trinidadian oxtail preparation is different but the food was NASTY!! I cannot make this up!
