We came back on Sunday and put our names on the list. This took about 20 mins at 10am. We got our free mimosas. Our waitress was really nice. The atmosphere is kind of chaotic. You have people walking all around you and runners speeding by. You hear reggaeton AND R&B/Rap becayE the place next door is also blaring it's music. My shrimp and grits were bomb, but not worth a 30+ wait. My friends said their food was good but they wouldn't wait. For 2 coffees and 3 meals it was cheap: $57.

Such an incredible meal, and it’s so nice to have authentic French cuisine in South Beach. And in a casual and relaxing (not stuffy) atmosphere. I visit Miami a few times a year and always look forward to dining at Otentic. Get the steak Maurice if it is on special. It’s a huge portion of juicy steak smothered in mushroom gravy and melted Brie. Sooooo good. They’re also really accommodating with large groups which makes it great for a night out with family or a group of friends.

All I know going into this place was that it had a reputation for good guava pastries (and that's what I was hunting for). I was amazed by the sheer size of the place- I mean true I should have expected it with a name like Versailles- but this place was absolutely enormous. Even so, there was a long line of people waiting for lunch in a Monday. We grabbed a few guava pastries from the window and came back later for linner.

Nah, not really French but a fairly good attempt. We had the escargot (snails) which had tarragon and lemon with it! So NOT French but not that bad actually. For some reason the chef put nutmeg with the Dauphinnoise and with the quiche, which unfortunately ruined some of the taste experience. The creme brulee was tasty although too sweet. If you are looking for a genuine French meal, this is not the place. If you are looking for decent food off the party streets, this might be a decent alternative. But don't expect to be wowed, unfortunately.

Luckily... my Mexican partner (and chef) and I have been fortunate enough to dine from here to Timbuktu... hehehe... and this restaurant is one of the best deals we have found: I guess, sometimes you travel the world to find your favorite places immediately next door we reside in SoBe. Great food, appropriately priced. The owner is almost always present and the atmosphere is casual; very nonchalant... and the service is as knowledgeable and friendly as it can be. I have been here before... and it never gets old.
