Decent steakhouse. The margarita with passionfruit foam was really good. My filet was very tender. The skirt steak was very tough and had a lot of fat and tendon. So much so that my son couldn’t eat more than a few pieces. Service was ok from the support staff, but it was difficult to find our server and we had to ask a few times to send him to our table. Overall it was ok. Not worth the $$ but for a hotel restaurant it was adequate (though overpriced), which seems to be the theme in Miami!

Fantastic “pan-American” steak house at the Intercontinental Hotel. While their prices definitely aren’t for the feint of heart, their portions almost make up for it. We had their skewer, which lists for 2 people, but that would be a hearty two people. The meat was tender and cooked nearly to perfection. The vegetable side dish’s likewise were ample. The only minor issue IMO was the carrots were slightly over cooked.

Atmosphere was great and service was even better. I put a note in my open table order that we were celebrating our 20th anniversary. I never mentioned it again. They brought out a dessert and champagne for us. They made our evening so special?

Love this place! My boyfriend took me for our Valentine’s day dinner. It was my first time here, and I’m still dreaming about the steak ? the peppers on the side gave such a refreshing smell. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the perfect amount of garlic, and crunch… ugh. I’m definitely coming back. Best steak i’ve had so far. The steak was so filling I decided to take half of it home, and it tasted just as good the next day! The guacamole and drinks were amazing too! I recomend this place 1000%!

We had to wait an extremely long time in order to be served. But the manager was nice enough to apologize and gave us a very nice dessert.

Would not recommend. The service was severely poor considering the price. Ordered medium steak, got well done. Manager replaced it, but still lacked seasoning. Waiter lied about dessert options. Simple requests took 40 minutes. Disappointing experience overall. Additionally, the restaurant was very loud, the ambiance was nice aside from the distracting basketball game playing.

The first night my husband and I had dinner at Toro Toro, the food was excellent and the service mediocre. We both ordered Lomo Saltado, which is beef with creamy jasmine rice and potato slivers. It was very good, although I did not eat the spicy sauce. The dinner roll was GF but still good. The young woman who refilled our water glasses was quite attentive. Our waiter was pathetic. My husband and I ordered drinks. I ordered a tasty pineapple and passion fruit drink and received it fairly fast. My husband ordered a bourbon old fashioned and waited forever for the drink. We finally had to flag down the waiter and ask him about my husband's drink. When the old fashioned was finally delivered, it was really watered down. The waiter did not deserve the 18% tip that was automatically added to our bill. We are normally very generous tippers. This restaurant is extremely expensive, offering some very pricy beef dishes such as Wagu beef and some seafood. I think we also split a dessert. Our Lomo Saltado was not that expensive but our bill was still $170. We spent five nights at the Intercontinental Miami hotel, and our goal was not to return to Toro Toro. We ate several very good meals at other nearby restaurants. Several days later we ended up eating another dinner at Toro Toro because we did not feel like venturing out into pouring rain. Not much on the menu interested us, so we ordered Lomo Saltado again. At our second visit the service was much better. We had one breakfast at the hotel. It was decent. That restaurant might go by a different name. Overall I rate the restaurant a 4 based on the quality of service. The food rated 5.

What the menu on OpenTable displays is NOT the menu at the restaurant currently. Beware. The appetizers were still great. The mains were very overpriced and they did not have the sides in stock so they had to supplement with rice. The service was not good. The waitress was not very attentive and I had to ask several bussers for things needed at the table. I would not return here again.

My husband and I celebrated two years married at Toro Toro and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is incredible and the aromas hit you the second you walk in! Our serve Aimee G. was a pleasure—she was sweet, helpful, and very attentive. Everything we ate was delicious. I was super impressed by the guacamole, not something we would typically order at a steakhouse but wow! The skirt steak was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth and we paired it with a delicious lobster. Dessert was killer and my husband loved his cocktails, I stuck to wine! The chef, Armando, made his way around and we enjoyed chatting with him, you could see how passionate he is about what he does. Would 100% recommend for a date night!
