Took the server awhile to even acknowledge me and take my order I actually had to go back up to the counter to tell her I wanted to order before I left to go somewhere else which there's not much out here. I get it's a mom and pops worked at many for 12yrs get better servers that pay attention to their surroundings and not just their friends.
The Countryside is located in the small lake village of Lakeport on the banks of Lake Okeechobee. I have eaten here several times and found the food to be very delicious. This is a true diner and the appearance shows this. I have had breakfast and dinner and have been pleased every time. Pleasant atmosphere and service.

Hamburgers are great. I love the tator tots too. The other food is good. Sometimes a bit pricey, but that's anywhere you go nowadays. They make some wonderful sweet tea! Usually pretty clean inside. Tho a little updating would probably be good.
