“If you're in Naples, HIGHLY recommend this place! I dont eat seafood. We visited relatives Wednesday to Sunday and ate at Island Gypsy three times! Never had onion rings before but my husband has and I tried these and we said these are the best and the sauce they pair with them - amazing! Calypso chicken salad has pears.. even the chicken is great. I had it all three visits and great every time. carrot cake is incredible! Pineapple Upside Down Cake isn't big enough :-). served warm, OMG it's amazing too. My husband had the fish and said it was very good. My sister had the chicken quesadillas and my BIL had the fish then muscles another time. Valet parking staff went above and beyond (BIL recently had major back surgery). Staff got us in quick, took our order and food was out in a timely manner. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Love the atmosphere right on the water. Not sure I've been to a restaurant like that that clearly runs like a well-oiled machine. Kudos!”

“Osteria Tulia continues to hold a respected place among Naples’ Italian dining destinations, offering rustic charm and thoughtful cuisine rooted in Northern Italian tradition. A recent Valentine’s Day return visit — this time with friends — reaffirmed many of the restaurant’s strengths while revealing a few operational shortcomings on one of the busiest nights of the year. Our first experience a year prior, seated outdoors, delivered an especially memorable evening marked by relaxed ambiance and attentive service. The latest visit, however, placed our party in a high-traffic area adjacent to the main restaurant flow. While the noise level remained manageable, the constant movement created a subtle distraction that diminished the otherwise convivial atmosphere. Service stood out as a highlight. Our server was knowledgeable, personable, and confident in his recommendations. His guidance led to an excellent wine pairing that complemented the evening beautifully and elevated the overall dining experience. The indoor ambiance offers warm rustic touches consistent with the trattoria concept, though it lacks the distinctive character and intimacy that make the outdoor seating particularly appealing. At the table, appetizers and desserts were uniformly excellent, showcasing the kitchen’s finesse and attention to balance and flavor. Entrées were widely praised among our group, and both my wife’s pasta and mine delivered exceptional flavor and execution. However, they arrived only warm rather than hot — a notable misstep for pasta service and one that slightly tempered an otherwise strong culinary showing. Taken together with our previous visit, Osteria Tulia remains a very good choice for Italian dining in Naples. While minor service flow and plating temperature issues surfaced on a peak evening, the quality of the cuisine, capable service, and overall experience continue to justify a strong recommendation.”

I walked in absolutely parched, just hoping for a healthy iced tea, and I was welcomed with such genuine kindness from the owner, Miranda. She has the sweetest spirit and made me feel instantly at home. The tea was incredible — fresh, clean, and truly refreshing. You can tell a lot of love goes into what they serve. The service was exceptional and heartfelt, the kind of service that stays with you. And the ambiance inside is peaceful and calming, the perfect little escape tucked next to the Publix center across from the Ritz-Carlton Tiburón. “This resturant is undeniably great and one of the best restaurants in Naples. I enjoyed everything and you could tell it was amazing quality. Of course the price is a bit excessive but that was expected. The best dishes were definitely the grilled octopus and the seared scallops, the flavors were to die for. The only things I couldn’t finish were the risotto with shaved black truffle which was too creamy in my opinion and the sticky toffee pudding which just wasn’t to my taste. One thing I didn’t like much was that the service was a bit over the top and I felt like I needed more space. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Naples area who is willing to pay for fine dining.”

Our server was personable, attentive, and genuinely helpful in guiding us through the menu. While Mediterrano offers only beer and wine, the selections are thoughtfully curated and pair well with the restaurant’s Mediterranean focus. The true highlight, however, is the food. The menu provides a wide range of enticing options, reflecting the breadth of Mediterranean culinary traditions. I chose the Greek beef stew, a dish I have enjoyed in many variations over the years. Mediterrano’s version was particularly impressive—deeply flavorful, comforting, and layered with rich Mediterranean character that brought the dish to life with every bite. Given the intimate dining quarters, it was easy to observe the dishes being served around us, and the reactions from nearby tables spoke volumes. Entrées across the room looked equally appealing, and judging by the enthusiasm of fellow diners, they were just as satisfying. Mediterrano may be small in footprint, but it delivers a big culinary experience. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for an upscale dining experience with the most flavorful, perfectly cooked comfort food. And always save room for the jewel cake.”

“Every year Naples loses and gains restaurants. Unidos, with its Latin fusion menu is a welcome addition to Naples culinary scene. The food and service are excellent. However, the atmosphere is NOISY, even on a Monday night, which makes conversation a bit difficult. Also $4 for water, but maybe that is standard now. Two people, no appetizers or desserts: two entrees, and three glasses of wine: $149. Seems kind of pricey but maybe typical.”

A truffle pizza arrived fragrant and indulgent without tipping into excess, while a classic Margherita-style pie proved that simplicity, when done properly, is the ultimate flex: restrained, balanced, and utterly stellar. Service elevated the evening from memorable to exceptional. Sarah was nothing short of marvelous—warm, intuitive, and effortlessly polished—supported by a team that made us feel less like diners and more like returning friends. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted as though we belonged there, which, frankly, we now do. Our favorite restaurant in Naples without question—and one we’ll almost certainly visit again before this short trip ends. We have a rule: when a place is this good, once is never enough. And The Med understands that perfectly.”

No complaints all around. Now for the service. Susie was absolutely fantastic. Her Italian accent is perfect even though she is not Italian!!! Delightful, funny with a great attitude. Even though she had several tables, she always found the time to make us feel special. My next reservation will definitely include a request that it be with her as the server.”

“My cousins and I had dinner at the Lavender Cafe and Bistro on 12/30/25. The food was just amazing! We started off with the roasted strawberry/feta appetizer. It was so flavorful and unique! Our server suggested it. She, by the way, was the best server I have ever met. Her name is Addison. She knows the menu perfectly and helped guide us to make selections that we would enjoy. She was a delight, with such a joyous personality. She was present but never hovered. Obviously, someone trained her very well. I would love to see her teach other servers how to do this job well. I used to work as a server, too, and I know that it’s not easy. But Addison made it look like fun, effortless. My cousins and I all orders dishes based on her recommendations and each one was delicious, of course. I had the salmon, others had the lamb shank, beef short ribs and beef kabobs. I hope you try this little restaurant and enjoy your experience as much as we did.”

“I love the place, but the Sarasota Location needs faster bartenders. In addition, they need a place for guest waiting for a table to order a drink at the bar. We waited 45 minutes for a table, got to the table and waited 30 to 40 minutes for our mixed drink. We received our food in about 20 minutes, which was great. Jonathan the server was very apologetic. I went 2 weeks ago and Mary Kate my bartender/server was horribly slow. I had one drink and wings and took about an hour on a Sunday about 1pm. She had no sense of urgency and was not attentive at all. I love the place, but can't continue to go if this slow service is the norm from the bar. At the Tampa location the service was great and they had not one table available. Sarasota needs to step it up!”

“We visited the Mon”key” Bread Factory at Tin City in Naples, FL on 7/17/24. I first heard about the location in an Explorcation vlog I watched to prepare for our trip. Once I saw the Monkey Buntz drizzled with a generous portion of icing, I knew this was something I needed to try for myself. The real thing did not disappoint. The bread had a subtle cinnamon flavor (less intense than a traditional cinnamon roll) and the icing was delectable and of the perfect consistency. A genuine treat. I paired mine with a hot Lavazza coffee while my wife opted for an iced coffee. We had Lavazza on a Celebrity cruise to Bermuda years before, so this brought back good memories and tasted just fine. The service here was wonderful and we got to see them icing some delicious looking cookies. I’d absolutely recommend stopping here while strolling through the unique Tin City shopping area.”

“After arriving in Naples on Sunday, we eased into town in the best possible way: an alfresco dinner at Veranda E at Hotel Escalante. In a destination where many restaurants trade heavily on hype—sometimes at the expense of food or service—Veranda E sets a notably higher standard and delivers on every level. We began with Kung Pao calamari, perfectly crisp with just enough heat to keep things interesting, followed by Osetra caviar perched atop pavé potatoes—rich, indulgent, and utterly sinful in the best sense of the word. From there, the evening only improved. The steaks were exceptional: a prime filet and a grass-fed Australian ribeye (my personal favorite cut), each cooked beautifully and served alongside asparagus and mashed potatoes. A simple description hardly does them justice—these were steaks that commanded attention without theatrics. Service was spot-on throughout—polished, warm, and effortlessly attentive. The poolside setting added its own magic, just across the water from our bungalow, which became our home away from home for the week. With the soft evening air and understated elegance of Hotel Escalante as a backdrop, the entire experience felt both refined and deeply relaxing. Veranda E doesn’t overpromise. Four Seasons is fortunate to have someone of his caliber representing their brand.

Unfortunately, the food did not quite live up to the same standard. The Hudson Foie Gras, which I have enjoyed in the past, seemed to have lost much of its richness and depth of flavor. It lacked the balance and memorable taste that made it a standout dish before. The Delmonico steak was also disappointing. While it was cooked properly, it simply didn’t deliver the bold, robust flavor you’d expect from a premium cut at a luxury restaurant. It felt as though the seasoning and overall character of the dish had been toned down.

Service from Obed was unquestionably 5 stars, but I hope the kitchen revisits these signature dishes and brings them back to the exceptional quality they once had.”

“We last ate at USS Nemo when we holidayed in Naples in December 2015. I can remember the meal well because the flavours were fantastic. We dined there again recently and I had the same dish - Tuna East style, a truly fabulous explosion of flavours and a perfectly cooked medium-rare piece of tuna. Hubby enjoyed his Tuna West style. We shared a crème brûlée which was delicious, great crunchy topping and a lovely textured and flavoured crème. Great service again too even though the restaurant was very busy.”

“Myself, my wife and her family stayed for a few days. We had the pleasure of dining here three times. Two breakfasts and one dinner. All were exceptional. We had Paula for 2 of our 3 experiences. She was personable and amazingly professional. We appreciate the attention to detail, as we understand this restaurant has just opened recently and is still getting its footing. Admittedly the host made an error with our reservation, but the manager promptly and genuinely made up for it. Will be staying on property again, and looking forward to enjoying more meals.”

“I had the meatballs and skagen during social hour. The demi cream sauce and lingon berries on the meatballs were outstanding. Savory sauce paired with the sweet and tart berries enhanced the whole meatball plate. The skagen was ridiculously fragrant (in a good way.) The dill exploded with freshness before my first bite and I didn't want to finish it, because I wouldn't have any left. JP, Alyssa, and Hannah were engaging, attentive, and clearly love what they do and what they sell. I'll be back, and soon.”
