HIDDEN JEWEL!!This is an original experience with Asian food. Not the regular japanese although their rolls are very good. This is Japanese tapas place!Try their mixed salad with tasty and light dressing, Lotus roots kinpira, spicy tuna harumaki (rice paper, no rice), seabass miso, and their kushi yaki (grill): gizzard, quail eggs, shitake mushroom and not least, lamb chop hichimi yaki!!Very attentive service but too few people. Went to Yakko Bistro for dinner and was very pleasantly surprised by the Japanese oriented theme of the restaurant. The food was quite good and I tried dey ramen for the first time and it was soo good with the Chashu. The veg sushi was also very good with a good crunch on sesame on the outside and cucumber on the inside. The staff was very friendly and kind. It has been many years since Yakko San moved away from this strip mall on West Dixie Hwy, and we eagerly welcome their return. The old Yakko San used to be our favorite spot, especially as it offered Japanese dishes hard to find elsewhere, even now but especially more so back then. The place is bigger than it used to be.
