“Heard of this place and drove from Orlando to Orange City the same day. They did not disappoint. Several locals in line raved about it while I was trying to order. I will definitely be back!! I have to try out the $12 all you can eat fish on Fridays. Nice set up with the stage and tables for a good time at night. The fried cheese cake was to die for. The owner provided great service.“

“Just a 10 out of 10 place. If you are in the area stop by for a pretzel. You won’t be disappointed. Just know for people that are sensitive. They do have a live band that plays German music every so often. I loved it, but I can understand how some people can be overstimulated. This is a 10 out of 10 place, this is the star of Sanford“

“Holy cats we love cafe da vinci!!! We drive all the way out from Ocala to hit this place up. They get some really great music acts up in here and absolutely recommend! This is an inside/outside venue with an outside stage, a little area with pool table plenty of dance room, a big outside bar with awesome very professional bartenders, another smaller outside bar, an inside bar and more pool tables inside. Great atmosphere, kind of a road house. When i try to describe it to people we know, i imagine its like a south american roadhouse for like american expats, like in bolivia or something. Theres some kind of food thing on the outside of the venue and a patio area with tables and chairs. Ive looked at the food and it sounds delicious and priced right but unfortunately i havent sampled any. Lots of nearby free well lit parking.Management, if you read this, get some margarita machines up in there.“

“Overall the venue is very nice and the food all looked well priced and easily choosable. However, I wish there were more low top tables inside so that I could feed my baby. The few low tops that were inside were all taken and since it was raining outside (where a majority of the low top tables are located), we didn’t have a choice of low top table. We were not able to order food, sit and eat.We will be back to actually try the food but hope the venue considers swapping a few more of the high top tables across the space for low top tables so people with babies or a handicap can easily find a place to sit and eat.Because I was not able to try the food, my stars are strictly on atmosphere and pricing for now. I will update in the future.Kid-friendliness: Lots of options.Wheelchair accessibility: Building is wheelchair accessible but may need more low top tables.“

“Arrived at 6:30pm on a Friday evening, and the restaurant was quite crowded! I grabbed the last available seat at the bar, and despite how crowded it was, I was able to get a water and place my order very quickly, food arrived faster than I was expecting, and it was absolutely delicious! The sandwich I ordered was called the Boulevard and it featured a grilled chicken breast on toasted ciabatta topped with herbed goat cheese, balsamic glaze, tomatoes, onions, and mixed greens. Flavors were outstanding all around, especially the herbed goat cheese, of which they applied a healthy amount! The mac and cheese was also outstanding and is just the way I like it! You can tell they use a rich, well-spiced cheese sauce AND regular melted cheese, so it had the creaminess from the sauce, but also a legitimate cheese pull in every bite from the melted cheddar! A very well run establishment with exceptional food!“

“What a gem of a place to have in our town of Deland! The garlic escargot is the best we've ever had. The garlic sauce is over the top, want to lick the plate clean amazing. Leg of Lamb is my favorite, tender, seasoned to perfection, and just melts in your mouth. My husband's favorite is the prime ribeye. Just sheer perfection. Have never had anything on the menu that wasn't tasty. Get the wine, eat the dessert, enjoy. You won't regret stopping here.“

“My wife and I had a date night and was excited to get out. We arrived at 530, they open at 5 and there was already a 35 min wait. We opted for outside and was sat in about 10 mins.Cody was our server and was amazing, we ordered a margarita pizza, a burrata salad and a chopped salad with salmon. The burrata salad was amazing, but the chopped salad was ok. The salmon was over cooked and it could have used a little more dressing. The margarita pizza was cooked right, but the cheese portion wasn't enough, it could have used a slice or two more. The last time when we're there we had a ravioli dish that was amazing, but sadly we didn't see it on the menu.“

“Quaint little bar located in downtown Sanford. I've always enjoyed the laidback and friendly atmosphere here. They're got a good beer selection brewed in house. There's an outdoor area with tables and benches where you can let the kids roam about. Good little place to kick back and enjoy your self.“

“Great place and incredible staff. ?A little girl walked in looking for her mom ( I think she was lost or something of that nature) they jump in and protected the child, kept her calmed and safe. Until the police arrived and still stuck to her side at all time. You guys are awesome.“
“Thank you for making an ice cream I can enjoy! So many non-dairy ice creams try to be good, but they fall way short, especially now comparing them to yours. Your coconut milk ice cream is everything I've been missing. It has a creamy texture, no weird after taste, and you have flavors other than fruit. I had the brown sugar espresso ice cream in the black chia waffle cone with crumbled Oreos. It tasted like my favorite coffee shop drink. The cone was amazing - so much more than just a vessel for the ice cream. It was an experience on its own. You can taste the chia seeds and it held strong the whole time I was eating my ice cream. I didn't get pictures but my husband got the coconut ash ice cream with an ube brownie. YUM!!! I saw somewhere they have ice cream cakes. The family has been given my birthday expectations ?“

“What a wonderful little gem in historic downtown Deland! It's rare that literally everything sampled was great. We had a wonderful experience. As soon as you step into the establishment, it has a cozy Latin vibe. There are huge painted portraits of beautiful Latina's (J-Lo, Selma, Penelope, & Shakira). The food, drinks, and service were outstanding!Shoutout to Yelp for my free Aspirinas for checking in! They came in 4 pieces which consisted cornmeal patties topped with beans, tomato, onion, cheese, and sour cream. My mother ordered the Latin Bowl (ropa vieja, black beans, rice, side salad, and yucca fries. Delicious! My lady ordered the Ceviche Peruano, which is a traditional Peruvian dish, *raw fish fillet with lime juice, served with shredded carrots, red onion, cilantro. Marinated in an aji sauce, with garlic, and leche de tigre (citrus-based marinade). Served with plantain chips. It was super sour and tangy and so good! I ordered the Taquiza Gringa, which was grilled marinated steak on a bed of sautéed onions, bell peppers, and pineapple with melted cheese. Served with corn tortillas, and guacamole on the side. OMG it was amazing! We also ordered a white and a red sangria. Those drinks packed a serious punch (pun intended). The white tasted much stronger but both were excellent. This is easily my favorite restaurant in Deland as of yet and we will be going back!!“

“SBC is our go-to stop for lunch and a growler refill when we fly into Sanford; we've come to expect really good food and service which is what keeps us coming back. Our most recent stop was on Thursday and our server was Chris. The bar has been set high in the past, but Chris was exceptional. He chatted a little, checked in with us regularly, and was always working. Without exception, just when we would think we were ready for something, he was magically right there on the spot. Very impressive and worth noting. We had the pretzel bites and grilled mahi sandwich. Food was really good as usual, but the service was especially worthy of a shoutout.“
“As all the other reviews point out it is off the beaten path but it was perfect for my friends who rode their bikes there. My first visit although they are frequent patrons. I enjoyed the Up River but would like to try some of the other brews. Great staff.“
“On a recent visit with our adventure club, which included a food and beer exploration with Sanford Food Tours, we had the pleasure of visiting several hot spots across Downtown Sanford. However, among all the flavors and experiences, including some gems like Hollerbach and Buster's, the one gem that really stood out unanimously as our favorite was Dees Bros. This family-operated brewery and eatery is run by two brothers who craft their own beer while one of their wives brings authentic family recipes to life. They provided us with an unforgettable dining experience filled with samples of some great dishes as well as their signature Cotswolds Ale. The warmth and dedication of the family not only shines through in their interactions but also in every dish and brew they offer. Our samples at Dees Bros included their Hot Ham & Sliders, Grandma's Swedish Meatballs, Spent Grain Pretzel with Gooey Beer Cheese Dip, and the amazingly refreshing Swedish Cucumbers. Each dish was a masterpiece of traditional and family-inspired cooking. It was so good we went back for more after our tour was over! Our beer selections, the Cotswolds Ale and the Aquadnauts, complemented the meal beautifully. The Cotswolds Ale, an English Amber Ale, was praised by our group for its easy-drinking nature and versatility with the diverse flavors of our dishes. But for me it was the Aquadnauts, a Belgian Quad, that stole the show. I would describe it as one of the best Belgian Quads I've ever had; its complex flavors and smooth finish made it a memorable part of my visit. We'll definitely be going back whenever we make it back to Sanford.Overall, our visit to Dees Bros was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of heartfelt hospitality, exquisite home-cooked meals, and finely crafted beers created an experience that not only satisfied our taste buds but warmed our hearts. It's a testament to the passion and dedication that the family pours into every aspect of their establishment. For anyone looking for an authentic, memorable experience, Dees Bros comes highly recommended by our entire group.“
“Neatly hidden on a small side street in downtown Deland, you’ll find Persimmon Hollow brewing. Located in a former warehouse, they’ve integrated a taproom and brewery into a welcoming space that feels open, but not too vast.Unfortunately, we arrived too late to hop on the pub crawl that was taking place to support local firefighters. The place was packed and selections were a little more limited than usual, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying a pint of their flagship, Beach Hippie IPA.IG: @crafty_fireman“
“Absolutely love this place! They have a coffee or tea for everyone. If you don't know much about coffee or tea, just ask Jackie or Juan!!! If you're feeling under the weather, they have an amazing Hibiscus and Ginger tea that makes you feel 100% in no time. If you love PUMPKIN SEASON as much as we do, don't walk...RUN to the THE COLLECTIVE!!!!“

“Clean place. Nice atmosphere. Nice staff. Good portions. Not organic (I don’t think) wish they offered spirulina as an add-in. Vegan protein. Fresh fruit. I would say it’s technically a 4-star place as far as most smoothie bowl places are organic, but I went in with low expectations (given the area) and was pleasantly surprised. Would go here again. Fairly eco-friendly but could improve. Has parking and bathrooms.Dietary restrictions: Vegan“

“My review: Chica’s Cuban Cafe never disappoints. This has become our families go to place. Not only is the food delicious, it’s fresh, full of flavor, and well served. The restaurants atmosphere is welcoming, and the servers are extremely friendly. My husband and I always order the Cuban Americano, with the veggie omelette and a cappuccino. My kids love their mango shake and empanadas de carne with a side of fries. We also ask for the Havana hot sauce to go with the our breakfast. It goes to go with everything!I’m not the best photographer. My pictures don’t do it justice. Also, my son had already dived into the fries.“

“What a pleasurable experience! First as smoker I appreciate the fact that you are allowed to smoke on the outside. I had the shrimp and grits it was AMAZING. You had choice of sides but very limited and nothing that really went with the shrimp and grits so I got fries. The wait staff was really nice. I would totally return again. Oh and they have proper pint size glasses unlike “The Station”Kid-friendliness: I see kids here but no kid menu that I could tellWheelchair accessibility: Level with sidewalk“

“All its flavors are very, very rich, the creaminess and softness makes them delicious. Its flavors are very intense but not overwhelming, that is, it does not cloy the palate, but you can feel the true flavor of the ice cream. The prices are very affordable, which means that it can be shared between a family with several children or a large one. 100% recommended“
