“Papa Llama, 2840 Curry Ford Road, Orlando- 4-Stars Michelin Recommended- Bib Gourmand! Peruvian immigrants, Kevin and Maria Ruiz, say they founded Papa Llama in 2016 as an experimental pop up and opened the doors of this location in August 2020. In 2022, they earned the Michelin Guide's coveted "Bib Gourmand" award for establishments that serve good food at reasonable prices so naturally, I got excited. Paulina, my server, was well prepared and knowledgeable, making for an auspicious beginning in a gorgeous environment featuring good prices for dishes that could be made to satisfy both carnivores and herbivores alike. I ordered the entire family style menu which was, according to Papa Llama, "designed to be tasted together, shared, and fought over." So much food for just over a hundred dollars. The prices may have been cheap but the taste and quality of (most) victuals valieron un Perú! A hearty Big Boy Thank You (Sulpayki!) to Kevin and Maria and the culinary dactylograms of their ancestors, on this amazing cuisine (Somaq Mihuna!). The first item on the menu was Olives--whole green Castelvetrano olives marinated in house with aji panca--which were so delectable I could eat them all day. Next, the Red + Gold Beets, a minty beet salad with honey ají amarillo vinaigrette, queso fresco, and candied pistachio, which started out smooth and creamy and ended with a pleasantly piquant bite. Papas a la Huancaína followed, a fingerling potato dish with spicy aji amarillo cream, wakatay (black mint) salsa verde, and beef chicharron, topped with a fried egg. The potatoes themselves were not the star, but the combination of flavors in the sauce were amazing, unctuous but smooth. Papa Llama carries a long list of natural wines, more wines than food items, actually. That evening, I chose the Yuzu Sake, and may I say, "Holy smokes!" How refreshing after consuming so many peppers. The rest of the dishes I would give 4.5 to 5-Stars, EXCEPT for the side of frozen Sysco French fries which almost ruined an otherwise stellar meal. There are over 300 kinds of potatoes in Peru. Over 300! Perhaps in the United States we don't have the same abundance as found in El Valle Sagrado (the Sacred Valley) but, por favor, do not stoop to this! The Big Boy says, "Eat here. All the authentic Peruvian flavors at Papa Llama are 5-Star, but skip the fries, which are a corporate conglomerate frozen food disappointment."“
“Love Pizza? Check. Love Detroit Style Pizza? Check. You've come to the right place for it, as this local spot is absolutely delicious!Ordered the Detroit Rob City Pizza and BBQ Chicken Pizza, and was extremely satisfied with the slices! The pizza comes in a square, and if you order a small, you'll receive 4 slices. The good: The Detroit Rob City Pizza was hands down the best one I've tried here, and would definitely order it again! The pizza dough was fluffy and the toppings were phenomenal. The BBQ Chicken Pizza was great as well, and it was a bit on the sweeter side, so if sweet is not your thing, then definitely go with the Detroit Rob City Pizza.Overall, if you love Detroit Style Pizza, you won't be disappointed!“
“We were in town for a show for the night and stopped in. An amazing section of beers, great sours. The food was really good the pizzas are amazing. And the staff was super friendly.Don't forget to check out the local hot sauce that is made there Mythos Sauceary soooo good I bought a bottle ??“
“It took me years to train my palette to appreciate beers but my oh my, I'm happy I took the time. Now, I am no beer connoisseur, and admittedly, I'm an IPA Lover, but I do appreciate a good craft beer. I also appreciate the fact that most breweries, like wineries, offer tastings. Which aides in narrowing down on the brews you prefer without committing to brews you don't. That aside, like any other brewing experience I've encountered, I asked to try a couple beers to figure out which one I wanted. Or, if I cannot choose, I just do the flight and call it a day! What's exceptional about Hourglass Brewing is that they are pet friendly, so me and my pup can have a grand 'ole time! The pricing is great! The brewery itself is spacious and rustic but with a modern twist! They allow you to bring your own food (because they don't serve any) or you can visit the food vendors nearby or next door! They also have food trucks that frequent the lot! So, fret not, you can drink and eat till your heart's content! As far as the beers go, I, personally haven't met one I didn't like! Again, I am an IPA girly, so I'm pretty easy to please in that department but I do appreciate craft beers and the unique beer blends like, the one I'm drinking today, which is their Imperial Pumpkin Ale (one of their indulgent beers). Again, price point is great. Staff is super friendly and the overall vibes are spirited! I definitely recommend this local Orlando brewery.“

With a beer list that showcases a remarkable array of flavors from robust IPAs to rich stouts, each brew is a testament to the brewers' dedication to quality and innovation.Amidst this hop-infused haven, one culinary delight unexpectedly steals the spotlight: the quesadilla. “A great local taphouse with a huge selection, great prices per ounce, and amazing service. The service is really great I've always had plenty of clean glasses to pour my own beer and cider. The NFC band model is super easy to use and they have plenty of stuff along side the drinks board games, sports games, and an outdoor drinking area in the back! The people remember return customers and are super sociable I've enjoyed all my conversations with the employees here and they always make me feel super welcome which helps this place feel like part of the community rather than just a bar or taphouse. Also they do deals for UCF watch parties so if you and some knights can't make it to a game there's always this place. The parking on the street can be a little short but there's a big lot in the back and this area is pretty central to alot of cool things like the record store next door and alot of great local restaurants.“
“This cute Food Truck space is nestled between other eateries. It's Taco Tuesday so had to hit them up with the crew! The tacos were soft shell with crunchy chicken, veggies and the secret sauce! We had a BLAST eating in an open space ? with good food and even better people?“
“Absolutely fabulous a very cute location services. Outstanding food is great. Definitely a place if you wanna have a romantic evening this is one of those places definitely would give it a shot.Parking: This is a huge parking lot. I don’t care when you come what time even if it’s New Year’s Eve you’re going to find parking.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s on the ground floor very easy in and out. No problem a lot of outside seeing do some amazing“
“I’m digging this place! Trista…the bartender is super cool! Knew my drink after just a couple time coming in. Been bringing my friends in. Cool patio outside. Pool table and darts inside! Cool local bar! Trista works Wednesday-Friday! Go say hi and have a drink.“
“Absolutely love Gnarley Barley. Everyone is always so friendly whenever we are there. Excellent atmosphere. I would eat the cheese curds everyday and never get tired of them. They're hands down the best in all of Orlando, probably Florida. Pickle dip is also a big hit in our family.“
“Absolutely incredible spot. Great bartenders, very expertly curated beer selection, creative sangrias, fun vibe, great music and is connected to the best pizza in Orlando. It's truly not to be missed, and I recommend to anyone looking for real Orlando culture.“
“The coolest bar in the Milk District! Tasty Takeover (multiple food trucks) on Tuesday night is awesome. Live music on first Fridays of the month is always spectacular. The owners are the only staff, and are the friendliest bartenders in Orlando. You have to check it out!“
“This place definitely gets busy, and service can lap off a bit as a result. However, the burgers are outstanding, the servers are kind, the atmosphere is GREAT and the shakes are to die for. A must-go-to place if you're coming on a Disney/Universal location. The kids'll love it!“
“For the blind/visually impaired:Large open space, clear lanes to walk between tables. Bar is to your immediate left. No stairs or elevation changes inside. Initially, I couldn’t find the bar, but after asking an employee, he saw the cane and got the picture. Staff was helpful and read out the menu, helped with the door on the way out. Particularly appreciated the help of Tanner and Dan.Wheelchair accessibility: Large doors, open area with no stairs“
“The service was very good. The person who was attending us was super friendly and made good suggestions. The Po'Boy sandwich was tasty, but the coleslaw was not my favorite. The flavor was a little off. The desert was also not the best either, as it was premade and reheated, which did not taste fresh. The atmosphere is super relaxed and casual. They do have unlimited mimosas for $21 (I believe), which is nice if you want to have several of them. lol“
“Seen this place for many months and wanted to stop in.Over 40+ options for tap.Food options are typical bar food options but presentation seems slightly upscaled.Music is chill and the Lost Coast Watermelon I had was tasty. Didn’t taste like watermelon but I also do not have a refined pallet. The beer was definitely tasty.I will be back.“
“It’s a vibe hereLove all the pictures they have up80s music hard rock even reggae Bob May . The out door bar is very nice, this place has tvs and videos playingI feel like I’m back in the 80s, the good old days. Oh they have the best mojito wow very tasty ?“
“We have passed this cute little local place for years, and so disappointed we waited until now to try it! I think this will quickly become a favorite. Add it to your must try. Felt so homey and authentic - the food was delicious! The service was so quick and friendly. We barely had to wait for the food to come out! We will definitely be back! Very casual - no need to dress up! Try the spanakopita - it’s the best I’ve had:) we thought the food compared easily to the local eateries we visited in Greece.“
“It's become a tradition to drop by Tin&Taco before Magic home games! There is always great service, food is spectacular, atmosphere is cozy and clean. The menu has a variety of choices; our tops are the Mac Attack & Al Pastor. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to these craft tacos!!!!“
“Best local dive around here. Bartender Christine is the best. Full of locals who are way better at pool or darts then I'll ever be. I'm fine just watching though. Beer is ice cold and the people are nice. Unexpected bonus? Nice, clean ladies room.“
“What a cool bar. Never been to a gay bar in FL and googled these guys. It's on a main rd next to a large pet store but blink and you'll miss it. The inside has a black dive bar feel but it's huge and once you start looking around you realize it's more than just a dive bar, in fact it's a cool place to hang out. Main central bar, bartenders friendly and service was great. The decor is leather daddy meets golden girls meets J-lo. They have an outdoor back patio plus and another outdoor bar plus another 'showroom' section and even a 'darkroom'(well Im sure for special events) I loved this place and wish I could have stayed longer. Free popcorn, pool tables and a great mix of patrons from young hipsters to sexy daddies. I definitely want to stop here on my way back.“
“Azteca de Oro in Lake Nona offers an extremely pleasant and comfortable experience, with a professional staff that makes you feel at home from the moment you enter. The cuisine delights with authentic Mexican flavors, presented in an exceptional way. Their fish stands out especially, which is not only delicious but also very well presented. In short, Azteca de Oro is the perfect place to enjoy an unforgettable Mexican culinary experience. Highly recommended!“
“This place saved me at my lowest point. I broke my leg outside of the resto while I was trying to do a kickflip on my skateboard. Luckily the one at the counter, Victoria, at a lightning speed finished taking everyone’s orders and ran out to help me to my feet. She carried me bridal style into restaurant and started giving me CPR (not the mouth-to-mouth stuff because I’m gay). After she gave me CPR and I was back to life, she informed me about a special they were having with the birria tacos, a side, and a drink. I got a Horchata because I’m not a loser. When I was done eating and on the stretcher about to enter the ambulance, I asked for a refill of my Horchata. Victoria sighed and said that she’d have to charge me a dollar. But, again at a lightning speed, she took my cup. She said that she’d give me a free refill if I did a favor for her. Gosh, I could never say no to her whenever she gave that smile. That smile that only I knew. I said whatever she asked, I’ll perform. She said that in exchange for the refill, I have to write a google review for TACOS MY GUEY. Which I’ve did.“
