“Where to begin?! We went for supper last night with a friend visiting from out of town. It was a first time for all of us and we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY! From the tastiness of a simple appetizer [herbed bread with butter, pesto, and olive oil for dipping], to the incredible entrées [filet medallions with Parmesan risotto, chicken carbonara], and ending with one of the most decadent desserts [brownie a la mode] we had ever had, all of us left talking about it and planning our next visit. It was so, so delicious. We were able to speak with the manager Nick, and he was beyond pleasant and friendly. My husband and I have both worked in restaurants before and to see a manager take such time and care in ensuring guests are happy and enjoying themselves is next level service. Our waitress Katelyn was wonderful as well, and funny by joining in and cracking some jokes back at my husband. We cannot say enough positive things about SoNapa, specifically this Ormond location. We will most certainly be back and highly recommend going to see for yourself! No photos because we were living in the moment and savoring every single bite!!”

“We just ran the 360 Photo Booth at Salty D’s for a charity fundraiser event for Awareness Day (Legal Abuse) with After Awareness. We had such a great time, the venue, staff and food was phenomenal! I overheard people saying it was the best ribeye (if I recall right - I’m a vegetarian here, lol) they have ever heard. I had French fries and the house salad and it was great! We were blown away with the hospitality, kindness and quality of food. I would definitely recommend, plus you’re right across the street from the beach!”

Their service is just EXCEPTIONAL!! They are soooo friendly, and attentive! It's amazing. They have actually become friends, rather than "waitresses". They hug us to when we come in, and act genuinely happy to see us. And if you order the same thing every week, they remember it. Can't say enough good things about these gals.”

“Every year I do hibachi for my birthday in Palm Coast where I live. Decided to make a change because that place has gone downhill. Took a chance on Takeya & let's just say this was the most AMAZING bday experience I've had in years! Lee our cook was absolutely hilarious & extremely talented we all loved him! “My Mother Maria and I went in and being Italian my self and my mother 100 percent Italian wanted to check it out so when we went there Everything looked delicious I had a cappuccino and I am a person that only likes good strong coffee . It was delicious probably one of the best cappuccinos I have had in years ! We ordered Parmesan cheese , Focaccia Bread , Sopressata , Capocollo . Everything was delicious. We met the lady that owns it and she was so nice . Her staff was very attentive. I give it 5 stars ⭐ We will definitely be back again to try more of there foods and another Cappuccino for sure .”

My husband’s birthday was the day after Easter, and I did not realize that German chocolate cakes require ordering in advance at Publix (I thought there would at least be a bar cake or mini cake available in that flavor). After checking with Publix & being told that they couldn’t accommodate for a same-day German chocolate cake of any kind, I started calling around to bakeries. I knew it was a real long shot and felt a little silly even asking for a last minute German chocolate cake! But it was my husband’s one request. And sure enough, after explaining the situation to her, Kim went above & beyond to get me one the same day! And it was delicious!! The rich, dark chocolate cake was amazing, and definitely did not come off as a last minute ditch effort on my part, haha! Very thankful and highly recommend!!”

Crust was think and crunchy, sauce was delicious, meat toppings were fantastic (pepperoni, ham, sausage, bacon). Cheese was fresh and tasty. In my college days, I would have lived off of this stuff. For as delicious as the pizza was, the owners were gracious and attentive. I'm "old school" in that part of the dining experience involves the service and interaction. Bruno's is family-owned, and I believe in supporting small businesses. If family or friends were in town and wanted pizza, then I'd take them to Bruno's without hesitation.”

Frank, GM, and Joy, our waitress welcomed us warmly, anticipated our needs and delivered excellent food, drinks, and service. They had signs welcoming us, introduced our guests to their dog-friendly menu and dog loyalty cards. The pups who ordered from the menu gave it a "paw-five". “1st time here, so I grabbed a couple of slices for lunch. One pepperoni and one meat lovers. Came out to just under $8.00, which isn't bad considering how big these were. The crust was New York style, thin crust, just like they advertise. The sauce has great flavor without overpowering everything else. The cheese was plentiful and mild but complemented the rest of the slice. Toppings were plentiful enough to get a taste in every bite. I should have taken pictures, but I was too hungry and they smelled too good. I'd like to try some of their more traditional Italian dishes. Their togo menu only shows full portions, I don't know if they have a lunch special, but I'll be there soon!”

“We visited Tipsy Taco Saturday and ordered the mahi tacos , the big burrito they have ( it’s gigantic ) , the kids menu ( 2 items ) and 2 of their skinny margaritas . Let me tell you .. the food is fantastic ! It’s always been outside the box / simple Mexican , fresh and delicious , also generous portions ! And the Margs were the best in town , hands down ! They are fresh with lemon and not sweet . List of Mexican places around but the food isn’t as fresh or their margs as good . The manager was very attentive , the waiter very friendly . Tied their regular chicane salad for the first time which I am very picky about. I asked if there were sliced greens she said yes i didn’t see any so I tried it and I’m so glad I did. I have gone back already it’s heat to grab and go for a quick lunch or dine in nice friendly atmosphere and order one of their many menu items. A plus is they always have some sort of dessert. Thank goodness it is nearby this is my go to place for chicken salad”

Every corner is interesting including an indoor Koi pond, beautiful art, amazing gift displays and a hundred different flavors of old and new fashioned sodas. The outdoor seating is equally as fun and interesting surrounded by nostalgia and art. And if that isn't enough, you can stroll into the Dunns Attic antique shop right through the Cafe doors. “We came from Tampa to Ormand Beach for the basketball tournament. After googling pizza places we found Manny’s Pizza House. Their website said they offered reservations which was what we needed with 25-30 people in our group. When I called and requested a reservation for 5pm on a Saturday it was easy and accepted. When we arrived our tables were all ready. We had two servers who were very attentive and quick with gathering our orders by each family. The food was delicious! Our group enjoyed the Greek salad, all types of pizzas, wings, pasta and desserts. What I found most impressive was the same two servers were also waiting on the 7-8 other tables. Even with our loud large group of kids and adults the restaurant didn’t seem frantic or unorganized. I was very impressed! Definitely worth trying and I know when we come back to Daytona/Ormand Beach we will make sure to stop and have some amazing Italian food!!! Thank you again!!!”

“So my tacos were awesome! My wife’s burger was ok. It came with enough mustard and catchup to drown a dozen burgers. I returned it to the kitchen and ordered it again with the condiments on the side. This time it came out with less than half the fries that it started with and the burger was not cooked all the way done. I had returned it once and wasn’t going there again for fear of well you know. The 3 oz patty is very small, it needs to be 6 oz patties. The decor is awesome!”

“We had a wonderful breakfast at Keke’s today. We brought our disabled brother, who is in a wheelchair. The staff was very attentive to our situation and seated us at a table accessible for his wheelchair and even provided his drink in a cup with a top, all without us even asking. Everywhere else we have been to eat with him, we have to ask for these things and the restaurants have not been very helpful. Cudos to the Keke’s staff. We will be back.”

The service was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming.My only recommendation would be to maybe have a sign on the front sidewalk so it's a bit easier to find if you're not expecting the coffee shop to be in a church. We drove around the lot looking for it before I decided to trust Google maps and go into the building where it said this shop would be.Excellent, thank you for serving good coffee. :)”

“On one of the worst days of my life, I experienced some of the worst BBQ I’ve ever had… But it’s not the whole story. Since August 2025, my mom had been in and out of the hospital. I was traveling from Baltimore to Florida every two weeks to see her. In late January, during one of those trips, I got the news no one is ever ready for, her stay was going to be permanent, and we had to make the decision to move her into hospice. That night, my dad and I were completely broken. Dustin’s BBQ is about two minutes from the nursing home where she was staying. I had driven past it countless times but never stopped. That night, we did. My dad is a Vietnam veteran. He’s dealt with long-term health issues from Agent Orange, along with cognitive challenges that make ordering and routines difficult. Walking into a new place isn’t easy for him. But from the moment we walked in, Dustin’s felt different. Warm, welcoming, no pressure. Sit wherever you want, we’ll take care of you. I have a rule when I try a new BBQ spot, I order the sampler. You learn everything you need to know that way. Our server, Kristina, picked up almost immediately on my dad’s needs. She slowed things down, walked him through the menu, worked with his preferences, and made sure he felt comfortable. That alone meant more than she probably realized. Then the food came, it was rough. The pulled pork was dry and grainy. The St. Louis ribs were tough with very little meat. The brisket, which hurt the most, was rubbery and elastic. It had flavor, but the texture just wasn’t there. The part that mattered. My dad loved his food. For a little while, in the middle of everything we were going through, he was okay. that’s what BBQ is supposed to do. Kristina checked in, and I tried to brush it off. But she could tell. When she asked what was wrong, I didn’t have it in me to lie, so I told her. She didn’t get defensive. She didn’t disappear. She cared. Then Kimberly, a manager, came over. She listened, asked questions, and you could tell she took pride in the food. I explained what I thought happened, that the meat had likely been sitting too long, that the brisket hadn’t broken down the way it should. She looked at me and said, “I can tell you know your BBQ. Let’s make this right.” At that point I was already full from the salad bar, which, by the way, was incredible. But I asked to try the sliced beef. It was excellent. Tender, smoky, and honestly reminded me of Baltimore pit beef. Before we left, I made a point to tell Kristina something important, that none of that was on her. Too many people take kitchen issues out on servers, and I didn’t want her carrying that. We walked out that night with soft serve in hand, and I told Kimberly we’d be back. She seemed surprised. But we meant it. Over the next couple months, my dad and I started coming back every two weeks. It became our routine. Our escape. For an hour at a time, we could step out of hospitals, decisions, and reality… and just sit, eat, and breathe. The BBQ those nights? Great. Consistent. Flavorful. Exactly what it should be. But more than that, it was the people. In mid-March, my mom passed. We came back two more times after that. Once after we handled arrangements, and one last time this week before moving my dad up to Baltimore so he can be surrounded by family. We got to see Kristina and Kimberly again. Give them an update. Let my dad have his wings and baby backs one more time before heading north. And I realized somethings: Amazing customer service can change the course of someone’s worst day. Even great places have off nights. And you never know what someone sitting at the table next to you is going through. BBQ is community. BBQ is comfort. BBQ heals the soul. Our family will always be grateful to Kristina, Kimberly, and the entire team at Dustin’s for what they gave us during a time when we needed it most. And one more thing… That coleslaw? It’s the closest thing I’ve had to my mom’s. And she never wrote the recipe down. We’ll be back.”

“Order Chow Mein for lunch through Door Dash and got soupy chicken and vegetables over rice. Wife called the restaurant to get the order corrected and she was told that Chow Mein is vegetables over rice. I guess Red Bowl doesn’t understand Chinese because “Mein” clearly means noodles. Likely an order for another customer than cancelled so they decided to dump it on us. Probably worth mentioning my wife is Chinese and her blood pressure shot up when told over the phone that it was rice not noodles.”
