“Ate here virtually every meal while staying at the Colony. Breakfast was always good, servers were very well mannered and trained well. None of the fuax snobbery you get from some establishments. Just good service, good food and done right. It is the little things that set this apart. For example the salt and pepper shakers are little pineapples. The butter pats have the hotel's name on them, the bills come in the sea-grape-print-paper used everywhere. Mornings before breakfast? Find coffee at the bar, sit outside under a banyan tree and relax with a vairety of newspapers. It's hard to leave here!“

On my fifth, and most recent visit, I had the best burrata of my life (made in-house, of course) and enjoyed three espresso martinis. The service was fabulous as always. Shout out to Denise! I'm apprehensive to wax poetic about HMF because it actually is my favorite place. But let's be real, it's the Breakers - it's not like lauding the hotel bar with praise is reinventing the wheel either. So I'll cut myself off here - it's not a "to do," it's a must. Dress nicely, be normal, and find a seat at the bar on the early side of the evening - the place fills up.“

“The food and service are good. Conch appetizer and fish dip were good for 6 people. We had two bottles of wine. We liked the fair pricing on the wine. I put the fish at par but not over the top amazing. The only thing you should watch for is the hostess response coming in. "You don't have a reservation ". Which I did and then i showed them. Ordered this entree and 3 or the vegetarian appetizers on the menu: General Tsao Cauliflower, Broccoli and habanero pepper. “I won’t give away any secrets, but Vincent is 100% AMAZING. We were only in town for 2 days and I really wanted to come here. Vincent made that happen and the experience went absolutely above and beyond what I imagined. We let him surprise us with every drink. Was not disappointed! “We heard about this FSU bar called Grease and had to try it on our pub crawl. The long long liquor bar was amazing. The beer menu took up the entire back wall. We met with the bartender Rachel who was fabulous. We ordered a Grease Bacon Jam Burger with a cold Cigar City Jai Alai beer. Everything tasted amazing and will be back.“

There is indoor and outdoor seating, and the doors are usually open, so it feels like one big space. You can sit at the bar inside or outside, as well as at tables or couches. Usually they have live music, and a very relaxed vibe with a pool and palm trees swaying in the wind. They cater more to sea food menu but I am currently in love with their enchilada special as well as that homemade salsa that is fantastic.
