“Delicious breakfast with fast service. Not super busy when we arrive around 8:15am on a Thursday morning but filled up as the time passed. My 3 year old and I shared the chicken tenders and waffles. It was really good...the chicken is very well done and it's really meaty, not dry and not ALL breading. Has to be done in house. We drive by everyday on the way to school but this is our first visit and it won't be our last!Kid-friendliness: They have a lively atmosphere, so you don't have to worry about kid volume as much. “We had the BEST experience at Mister 01 and cannot wait to come back! Our waitress, Abbey made all the difference. It felt like fine dining in Dallas’ Harwood District. Worth the wait on a Friday night. We had giggled about whether the pizza would really be “Extraordinary” and it actually was! Especially the crust. They also have gluten-free and vegan options. Be a sure you take the time to let your server give you the backstory on the restaurant. It’s pretty awesome!! The icing on the cake was upon leaving when Abbey gave us handmade origami hearts with encouraging words inside. She didn’t know it, but we sure needed those sweet words! “This restaurant was walking distance from our hotel and had decent reviews, so we decided to try it, plus there weren't too many options after 7 pm in the area.We had a great server, which suggested perfect drinks, appetizers, and mains.It's too bad they were closing at 10 pm, we would have stayed longer.The restaurant is next to the marina and bottom level to an office building, so I'm sure the bulk of the business is during the daytime and weekends. But, overall, we enjoyed everything which was offered.We loved the food and drinks. But don't bother with the oysters. They were small.The atmosphere felt like you were in the tropics while sitting in a tiki hut.“
“Really like the pan con bifsteak. The house made potato sticks/julienne/sticks are delicious & waaaay better than the stuff from a can usually used. The rice & the black beans were very good and the maduros were cut into smaller pieces the one usually find. The interior is clean but minimalist. The only draw back is ordering ahead is poor English skills and my minimal Spanish. But it's always gotten worked out and my order has always been correct. I've been back several times and it has been consistent.“
